nightwalker83
Maybe we should go back to when video games cost a quarter a play and you were lucky if one play was 5 minutes long. The reminds me of a Simpons ep where Milhouse is playing the arcade game and it costs him a bucket load of coins to play then 5 seconds in the game ends. acmilano
Never liked the fact but i accept that developers wants more money and so there would be dlc's until people buying it.If no one bought that Armored Horse there wouldn't be dlc's but there was a market for that and now we have extreme cases like DA2, Mafia 2,SRTT and so on.That From Ashes dlc for example should be part of regular Mass Effect 3,not like this. And 50-60 $/Euros for basic game ane not a small investment today.Luckily for me,my credit card is only for taking cash from ATM's becouse i never want to jeopardise my savings on internet,so often i buying GOTY/Complete editions and get all the content for cheaper, only need patience to wait and now i have all R* games of this generation in their complete editions. To be honest some dlc's deserve money they cost like EFLC,Undead Nightmare,FO3 dlc's,Shadow Broker and Kasumi for ME2 etc. From the other hand,DLC's for SR games are so bad that i wouldn't even think about buying them.We will see how it will continue into future bu i think that basic story of storytelling games shouldn't be cut off and sell into smaller packages, only additional things like clothes, cars, weapons etc.Or at least developers should be honest and sells basic games for a smaller price if they planning for a lot of dlc packages. Attorney General
Yeah it really dose need to be judged on a case by case basis you do get some really bad DLC things like with SFxT ... Haven't played that yet, but I'm a die hard SF junkie since back in the day and am guilty of paying for all those different skins in SFIV and SSFIV. That's a prime example you brought up. It's such overpriced utter bullsh*t. But if you're a big fan of a franchise and want all the available content, you're p much forced to overpay. I think that will lead into people not becoming obsessive over franchises. Eventually, enough people will be pissed by the assumption that as a fan they will buy everything related to franchise x. This will lead people into becoming casual gamers of franchise x. Which will hurt the franchise even more. If game companies keep taking us for advantage, people, will hopefully, stop buying every bit of DLC or subscription based crap they throw at us. Though, I do think the CoD: Elite is a great thing as it gives you free DLC for $50 and at an average cost of $15 per DLC it pays for itself after 3 DLC are released. Yeah trust me it's hard not going in there and be like "TAKE MY MONEY" I'm also a bit of a SF fan too it's in my blood (my dad and uncle once got the cops called on them while playing SFII back in the day, where yelling things allong the line of "I'm GONNA KILL YOU" etc. and my cousin thought they where actually fighting), but I don't have the cash to though at a DLC, well if I do get a job this summer when I have time I will but I don't at the moment.
