eirik2306 Posted March 11, 2012 Share Posted March 11, 2012 Hello, every time i try to play GTA 4 via Steam, im always blocked by Social Slub, wich i can't log into. Every time i try to press play it says "social club login failed. please try again" every damn time! I have tried to press "Play (Offline)" but when i do that it says you need to be logged in, to be able to play offline" Plzz help me guys, so is there anything i can to to prevent this Soical club bullsh*t?? Sapstar Posted March 11, 2012 Share Posted March 11, 2012 I have a similar problem, and I think it has to do with using a shortcut to launch GTA IV. Try going to the GTA IV directory and launching through there. Try running the game as an administrator, and you should just keep trying to log in through their server. If that doesn't work, try restarting. Usually this clears up the problem for me, although its been happening a lot more recently. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's especially bad if I've done some processor-intensive video rendering in Premiere Pro; I usually have to wait 5-10 minutes before I can log in (even if I reboot) - crazy. radioman Posted March 12, 2012 Share Posted March 12, 2012 The simple, easy solution is to just use the Xliveless program to bypass it-you will still see it pop up, but all you have to do is hit "play offline" and not have to worry about logging in...-well, it still pops up on the Steam version with Xliveless, but NOT with the DVD version with Xliveless for some reason?
