DEED
We've heard it all before, "It's Los Santos and the surrounding country side." Call it wishful thinking, but to me that doesn't necessarily rule out Las Venturas and San Fierro, it just means they're not revealing everything just yet. But, this isn't a topic for discussing whether or not they will be included, I want to ask those of you who still believe LV & SF will be included, at what point will you start to lose hope about their inclusion, if there is still no official word specifically stating "LV & SF will not make an appearance in GTA V." For me if there is still nothing hinting at LV & SF's inclusion by the second trailer, that is when I will start to have my doubts. Though I'll still be open minded about it until there is an official word or map release, that will be the major point where I lose hope. LV & SF or not, I still believe GTA V will be a great game! What do you think?
Durden
My beliefs are 60% chance of just Los Santos and 40% chance of all three. My 40% hope will dissipate if they aren't revealed in the second trailer.

[supreme] Yes, that is all they have revealed so far, but they haven't yet stated that is absolutely everything. If you want to "leave it alone" don't post in this topic, simple. I already stated that this isn't a topic for discussing whether or not they will be included.

nickelist1
10% LV will be in the game 10% SF will be in the game 10% TJ will be in the game 10% SD will be in the game 60% LA will be in the game Just my thoughts..
ccrogers15
The surrounding countryside. Is SF or LV not in a city? Is it in the country? No. End of story. There will be NO SF and LV in 5.
Trideez
If you look at the quote from Dan Houser when they asked him about it, he said: I've got to be real careful here, or they will drag me through the office and whip me with barbwire. I will stick to exactly what's in the press release. It's Los Santos and the surrounding country side-and a very big map.' There's obviously a secret that he is keeping very tight lipped about. Nowhere in the quote did he say there WASN'T LV or SF or any other cities. Nor did he say that it was "ONLY" or "JUST" LS and the surrounding countryside. I think there is a 10-20% chance that SF and LV could return. And I think there's a 50% or higher chance that there will be more than just LS and the surrounding countryside. Like I said, just by reading his quote you can tell he is holding something back. And to this guy: 10% LV will be in the game10% SF will be in the game 10% TJ will be in the game 10% SD will be in the game 60% LA will be in the game Just my thoughts.. UMMMMMMM, you dont understand probability to you? There's no need for you %'s to add up to 100. So why would you say LA = 60% chance?????????????? LA is 100% chance obviously. ShotGunRain
My hope of Las Venturas being in the game went to 0% is when they said Re Imagined Present Day Southern California. When you search Southern California on Google Image the map shows that Las Vegas is not in Southern California.
Inncognitoo
Why does it matter? Sure it would be cool to have both cities back IF Rockstar is able to have enough memory space for it, but who cares if it does come back? I wouldn't mind because LV and SF can be used as a setting for a future GTA title just in case Rockstar loses steam. We have 3 more cities in the GTA Universe, LV, SF, and VC. Carcer City is also a setting in the GTA universe but I doubt there will be a GTA game on it.
Death2Drugs
My hope of Las Venturas being in the game went to 0% is when they said Re Imagined Present Day Southern California. When you search Southern California on Google Image the map shows that Las Vegas is not in Southern California. Key word: re-imagined. In the GTA Universe, the State of San Andreas consists both of California and Nevada. There might be a chance that Las Venturas will be added to Rockstar's fictional State of San Andreas, and both Los Santos and Las Venturas are part of Southern San Andreas. Not sure about San Fierro, as that would likely be part of Northern San Andreas.
GTAWithStyle
If SF and LV are in the game then why are they keeping it a secret? It would be stupid to make everyone believe it's just LS and countryside then months later finally reveal that there is actually 2 more cities. If the game really is set in all of SA then this is a pretty kunty way to build hype.

So by your logic if they later officially announce car modding or property management to feature that would be a bad move because they haven't previously announced it officially. That doesn't make sense. Obviously they will slowly reveal more and more until release. it would actually be a stupid move if they announced everything from the start and then left nothing to be revealed on release. When the first SA trailer was released they only announced LA, it wasn't until the second trailer that they relieved LV & SF. Trideez is exactly right. Knife
I'd say Rockstar was quite clear here: “Rockstar, I really can't wait for new information about the new GTA. And is it only in Los Santos or too in SF and LV?” - MatsvanStam As we revealed in our announcement about the game being officially in full development, Grand Theft Auto V is set in the city of Los Santos and its surrounding hills, countryside and beaches – and it will be the largest and most ambitious open world game we’ve ever created… The only reason they responded to the question was to clarify again that it's set in Los Santos, not San Andreas. If they didn't want to give an honest answer, they could have just ignored the question (they get hundreds).

meson1
Chances are that a DLC may feature SF and LV or Both. I doubt they will include new playing areas in DLCs. The playing area takes the most amount of time and effort to create. Far more than all the other elements of the game put together. The amount of time and money required to create new map areas for a DLC would be outweighed by the fact they can't charge as much for DLCs and they typically don't sell anywhere near as well as the main game. They will hold LV and SF back for future games instead. Edited March 11, 2012 by meson1
Knife
Not to mention Rockstar have already confirmed they plan to do smaller DLC's after EFLC didn't do that well. They realised that for DLC to work, it has to come out within the first few months of the game being out, especially for a primarily single-player game.
