trip
I've decided to implement QoS on my home network. Since we watch a lot of Netflix via the xbox I'd like to include that as a high priority connection. I did some quick looking around the internet and it looks like Netflix just uses port 80 for xbox streaming.  Can anyone confirm that port 80 is all that is used? Wolf68k
According to portforward.com Netflix uses 80 and 443 http://portforward.com/cports.htm 80 = streaming 443 = authentication

Seems a bit odd to use 80 for the actual stream, but I guess they do that so as to avoid a bunch of tech support head aches thanks to people with different routers and settings(and understanding of configuring).  The very simple QoS I set up for the house is working as expected. No more complaints from the wife accusing me of stealing all the bandwidth. Wolf68k
No they did it to make it simple and easy. 80 is better known for http. You have to remember when they first started doing streaming it was on a Roku box and the browser.

One of my past titles was Internet Infrastructure Specialist - I'm pretty hip to port 80 My crappy games at MyCrappyGames.com Free copy of Save The Puppies and Kittens
