Trideez
... I don't even do the retarded POLICE CAR missions because it makes no sense to be working for the police in a game like that. ... Vigilantism is illegal. You are not working for the police. It's a criminal offence to take the law into your own hands. So going around in the vigilante missions acting as judge, jury and executioner is a very, very naughty thing to do. You therefore by your own logic have no reason not to do the vigilante missions. Enjoy. Working for the police is working for the police, whether you have their permission or not. f*ck that, let them catch criminals themselves. I'd have more fun waiting at a red light for a cop car to pull up...sneaking behind it, planting a bomb on it, then following him for a block or two before I explode him in as large a crowd as possible....there's a vigalante mission Aww c'mon Trideez. I mean, nuts...did you play RDR and if so did you do any of the bounty missions? I get what you're saying but it didn't take any of the fun away from either, at least for me. I'd be happy with more minigames as well, and I like the thinking in the OP. Darts should have been a throwable weapon imo. Actually, no, I don't do the wanted poster missions in RDR either. I've probably done 3 of them since the game came out. I hate assisting the law in any way in any Rockstar game, except LA Noire of course lol. But if the protag is not a cop, I don't do sh*t for the police, f*ck them, they're the ultimate enemy in any crime game.
saintsrow
I go along with the OP that minigames (e.g., darts, bowling, parachutes) don't have much value and should not take away from either game development resources or game runtime resources. For replay value, I make my own games and challenges using the phyics, AI, and other nice inherent capabilities and constraints of the game engine. However, in GTAV, I could go for minigames that are directly tied to the main theme of making money (and having ever more things to spend momey on), maybe like a Monopoly or empire building game during and after the main game missions, as has been mentioned in other threads, if they are consistent with the tone of the rest of the game. That's in addition to all the mayhem that I expect to cause following my own imagination for long term replay value in the subsequent 5 or 6 years waiting for GTA 6 to come out. locolow2011
Did you have fun with your imagination in LA Noire? AHAHA! I know I didn't. There was absolutely, and I mean, absolutely, nothing to do. You're post is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Dude please... I had tons of fun with this.(Go to 1:00) I mean i know it wasn't the greatest thing but sometimes you have to find or create your own fun, thats the beauty of sandbox games. That doesn't mean that i don't want minigames but still, i don't necessarily need minigames to have fun.
