Stop bad-mouthing Rockstar, they know exactly what they are doing and are doing a fine job about it too. If you don't like it, please use the log-out button above as I believe the majority of users on this forum are here to talk about one of their favourite video game franchise and developer, not bitch about how "all we get is a trailer after 5 years". Don't be so childish. Um actually that is a long time, its more than half the life span of a console. I'm not bad mouting anyone, all I said is so far from what I've seen and how much time they have had to prepare I am not impressed. GTA 4 was a massive dissapointment, at first I thought it was the best. Then after a week or two it really sunk into me how bad it actually was. There was no replay value in it, nothing to explore, and felt lifeless. GTA 5 looks the same except 3 times larger. I'm hoping there is something big they are keeping from us. But like most people on here have said don't raise your hopes or you will be dissapointed, but unfortunately I'm already dissapointed with their design. The graphics still look too fake, they actually look more cartoony then GTA 4. Your talking to someone who has seen game development first hand, five years is a very small amount of time. Just because Activision manage to get a new Call of Duty out every year does not mean 5 years is a small amount of time, Call of Duty is the same year on year with some new maps with recycled textures and sounds and mechanics. Grand Theft Auto V looks to have brand new everything, Casting alone and getting voice acting and sounds for the game takes up at least half of the development time, and if a couple of sounds aren't ready it can halt the whole development process. Also, Rockstar strive and always deliver top-class content, they wont give us any half-ass lame attempt at a game, they never have done. Just be patient, and news will soon come along. But, don't expect any news until the Max Payne 3 campaign is complete. If GTA IV was lifeless for you, why are you even here? Surely if you didn't enjoy the game you must understand that the GTA Franchise is not your cup of tea, it sounds like Saints Row 3, a more arcadey version of Grand Theft Auto, sounds like what your after. ^J Why must everyone on this forum crap on CoD? It sold more copies than GTA, so everyone is jealous and badmouths the series, far more childish than anyone complaining about R*. Just because he didnt like gta4, dosnt mean he should f*ck off, what kind of a thing to say is that? GTA4 was not the only game in the series. It gets annoying seeing everyone become R* anal buddies, and bashing people who don't suck the corn out of R* ass. Jace26, nice job man. As for me, I will admit that I was very impressed with the first trailer, but that could mainly be due to the fact that a new GTA game is coming alongside of the scenery and what not. I am not some video game programming expert, but I do feel that the trailer showcased the game in its earlier stages of development. If it were shown in much later stages, I think we would have an release date by now. Only time will reveal. I am pretty comfortable with what I have seen thus far (only the trailer, lmao), but there were some ugly bugs in the trailer. But again, it hearkens back to it only being the first trailer. I think vast improvements will be displayed in the second trailer, whenever it is released. Jace26, I definitely see your point though. Negativity like this will go away once more info comes out. You do realise they were working on 5 before GTA 4 was released, right? GTA has been a proper sandbox game since 2001 and still is SR has not been a proper sandbox game since the first came out a few years back and 100% OTT Oh and like i said, if anyone hates GTA so much then don't get GTA V as you will hate it. Not even one single article of who the character is and how many cities we have. The story line is not even revealed its just a vague description about finding the "almighty dollar".
