They have delivered some of the best AAA games I've ever played. It's rare they make a game that isn't good. As for R* going bankrupt without GTA well nothing lasts forever including GTA. If you spend your entire existence building up a single product and relying on it of course you wont survive and I believe R* are smarter than that. The funny thing is people like Zee like to have a shot at R* for not delivering enough GTA titles, but if it ever got to the point where GTA titles over saturate the market and become a shadow of their former selves he'd be the first to stamp his feet on the ground. That can only be a good thing. Rockstar North haven't released any other games in that time, so it means GTA V must have been in some stage of development since GTA IV. Why are you not excited to see a game with 4.5+ years of development behind it? Surely they're building a huge game with tons of content. Let them build the best game they can, then we'll play it. After the first trailer for IV came out, I don't think there was an info blackout similar to this. There were magazine articles, website interviews, etc. I don't know why they are so hush-hush this time. I wish they'd give us something though. Will the sales of MP3 will be affected if R* release some info of GTAV? Maybe not, but what's the point in marketing two games at once when there's no need? Rockstar are focusing their marketing efforts on Max Payne at the moment as the game is due for release in May. Obviously they want to give it 100% of their attention right now rather than releasing GTA info just to stop some people on a forum being upset. Meanwhile Rockstar North are actively working on building GTA V. The game we get in our hands will be the same if not better because of Max Payne (work done on things like animation will likely be used in GTA V for example). A good fraction of the people here would be glad to wait for the fully-baked, awesome, beautiful masterpiece that GTAV will be. But the OP was just verbalizing our collective pain at the blackout of info. Just a couple of screenshots every couple of weeks, if only just higher rez versions of scenes that are already in the trailer, or a squeak of tantalizing info about the cars or the countryside, would be enough to ease our suffering. I would be ecstatic just to have one high-rez, well-composed screenshot that I could use as my desktop wallpaper for the long wait until GTAV release. The screen grabs from the trailer are not sharp enough when blown up. In the lead-up to RDR, I had a beautiful scenic picture of Marston on his horse overlooking the landscape, on my wallpaper for several months in anticipation of the game. That really helped my state of mind. I left that RDR picture up there ever since, waiting for the time when I could replace it with a shot of the next GTA. I'm still waiting, and suffering. Meanwhile I recently looked for another picture to use for wallpaper and found an awesome hi-rez total solar eclipse. Every damn time I find myself agreeing with you just like right now. I didn't know who he was until last year either, and I have been here since 2005. One of the reasons as to why folks like myself like and accept Zee is simply because he is a member with an opinion, and brings variety to the forum. Same with former member JoanCrawford. Sure everyone doesn't like their opinions and I can respect that too, but not everyone loves the sh*t out of R* North. Of course there is the whole "how can you not love R* being that they made GTA games" debate but that's a whole other thing. As for the topic at hand, I do not think that R* are being selfish, but being smart. Just watch how this all works out. They know exactly what they are doing. From what I have seen hydraulic, zee actually is not of upmost intelligence and even if he is trying to be funny the funny part wore off a long time ago when the (somewhat repetive) insults were original. So you can stop ass kissing, because by explaining him (if there really is some humourous motive behind his unoriginal bitching) less people take him seriously and it kinds ruins the fun.
