The defense gets their credit, no doubt. But I didn't see Kyle Orton winning games for them. People hate on Tebow and I understand, he's over-hyped and over-analyzed but he gets the job done at QB. He lead the team into the playoffs and beat the Steelers in OT. I'm telling you guys now, Ryan and the Jets (fans/management) will throw Sanchez to the sharks and let Tebow start, once they do that they need to be running a option college offense for Tebow, and they will win games if their defense can step up to the plate like they've done in previous years.

Tebow's "clutch play" and winning was a product of the Denver defense. Almost every QB in the NFL could have done what Tebow did, only it wouldn't have taken them until two minutes left in the game to finally come through for their team.

Let's just look at each game separately:

*Win vs Raiders: Denver defense gave up 24 points by the middle of the 3rd quarter, but Tebow rallied back and lifted his team to victory. Although it is worth noting that Tebow only threw one pass after the opening drive of the second half.

*Win vs Chiefs: Denver defense only gave up 10 points.

*Win vs Jets: Denver defense only gave up 13 points.

*Win vs Chargers: Denver only gave up 13 points and San Diego played like idiots all game long. Norv even decided to settle for a 53-yard field goal in OT for the win rather than driving to get better field position. This led to Prater's game-winning field goal.

*Win vs Vikings: The only game in which Tebow rose above being an awful NFL starting QB. I think this game may be the highlight of his career because he incredibly well when his defense played like crap.

*Win vs Bears: Denver defense only gave up 10 points and Tebow wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to win if Marion Barber didn't run out of bounds at the end of the game and if Barber didn't fumble in OT. This game was handed to Tebow.

*Loss vs Patriots: Denver defense played horribly and Tebow went down with a whimper.

*Loss vs Bills: See Patriots game.

*Loss vs Chiefs: Denver defense only gave up 7 points, but Tebow still allowed his team to lose.

*Win vs Steelers: Denver defense gave up 23 points, but what was lost in that game was the defensive stand that the Broncos defense made late in the fourth quarter to allow the game to reach overtime. With the Steelers at the Denver 45 yard line with less than 90 seconds to play, Broncos defensive end Elvis Dumervil jarred the ball loose as he sacked quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. The Steelers would recover the ball, but not before losing 10 yards on the play.

*Loss vs Patriots: Denver defense played horribly, and once again, Tebow went down with a whimper.

Overall, there were six occasions during the final 11 weeks of the season that the defense was able to hold their opponents to 15 points or less. During those six games the Broncos went 5-1, only a 7-3 loss in the season finale to Kansas City in which Tebow played his worst game of the season prevented that record from being perfect. Comparatively, when the defense has struggled, the Broncos have struggled mightily. Four times during that same 11 game span the Broncos defense surrendered 30 points or more and only once did Tim Tebow manage to bail out his defense.

And I haven't even mentioned that NFL defensive coordinators didn't know what to expect from Tebow in 2011. His impact was actually very similar to that of the Wildcat formation back in 2008. Since the wildcat formation has since struggled to work for any team that uses it, I would expect the same from Tebow if he ever gets the opportunity to start for the Jets.

Kyle Orton couldn't do it apparently. Bring out all the stats you want but it doesn't beat that he lead the broncos offense and could get into the playoffs.

But Denver's defense played like sh*t under Kyle Orton. That's the difference.

Your point relates back to my first Tebow post. Denver's defense carried Tebow most of the time, and anytime that they didn't carry him, Tebow failed to respond. (Minnesota game notwithstanding)

Denver's defense got their credit though, that's the funny part. I find it extremely humors that people believe Orton could've won games in the fashion Tebow did.

Jay Cutler has Brandon Marshall again so that's the upside to that. They had some great chemistry in Denver, if they can re-light that in Chicago, it should be some good seasons to come for Bears fans.

Orton could have easily won the games that Tebow won last year. I actually think he would have won them in a more dominant fashion, rather than waiting until the final two minutes of a game to finally score.

That's funny, really. I hate Tebow, I really do, but the guy doesn't get credit when credit was do months ago. I think it's because he just isn't the typical NFL quarterback or rather not even a quarterback at all. Was Orton the same guy that went 6-1 the year before and completely blow that off?..

Please don't dare compare a playoff winless Orton to Tebow. Sorry...

Anyways, let's not talk about "He who shall not be talked about for the 500 millionth time because all anybody ever talks about is him and I am really f*cking tired of it."

Who is the most promising player that hasn't broken out yet on your team? It can be a rookie or whatever.f

The Texans used to have a pretty good receiving core when Kevin Walter was at his best but now it is down to Andre, a almost done Kevin and a bunch of no NFL catch rookies or second year players, one of our second year players with a lot of promise is LeStar Jean.

He had been wowing us in last years OTA's and TC until he got hurt in the Pre-Season, now he is doing it again taking the number one spot while Andre sits out after he got a knee scoping surgery. He has good size and has had an entire year to learn the offense, hopefully he can pick up Jacoby Jones receiving slack (not that hard) or more and that will allow our two drafted rookie receivers (Keshawn Martin and Devier Posey) to sit back.

One of the most versatile runningbacks of my time (a long with Priest Holmes) as far as I'm concerned. If I remember correctly, he had 1,500+ rushing yards with 100 receptions one season. That's just remarkable and is truly sad he doesn't have a ring, let alone a super bowl appearance.

As a Charger fan, it's sad to see him finally retire. He carried the Chargers from 2001-2007 and some of those teams had downright atrocious offensive lines. He was the first and most major step of bringing a troubled franchise out of mediocrity. And yet sadly enough, his career will always be defined by his lack of SB rings (or even appearances), which are really due to a series of freak mistakes from the likes of Marlon McCree, Antonio Cromartie, and of course, Nate Kaeding.

In addition, he might have been the last of his kind- the true, all-purpose, workhorse running back. He could catch the ball (as DOOM said, he caught 100 balls in a season for cripes sake), he could run the ball, he could block, and he could even throw the ball as he had 7 career touchdown passes.

*Holds the all-time NFL record for single season touchdowns (31)

*2nd in all-time rushing touchdowns (145)

*3rd in all-time overall touchdowns (162)

*5th in all-time NFL rushing yards (13,684)

*7th in all-time all-purpose yards (18,456)

Ok I know the basic rules of Football so I'm a little puzzled about a decision that went against me on Madden 11 earlier today. I was hoping you guys could clear it up for me.

I was the 49ers against the Steelers and I was in possession of the ball on second down. At the snap, my centre handed it back to my QB who was looking to pass. Suddenly a Steelers play broke my offensive line and tackled my QB just as he tried to pass. The ball left my QB's hand and fell to his right. Just at that moment another Steelers play came in and tried to catch the ball before it fell to the ground, it hit his hands but he failed to grasp it and so it hit the ground and bounced back up a little. After the bounce, the Steelers defender grabbed the ball and then went on to score a touchdown.

I was confused because I thought that when the ball had hit the ground, that was it. The Steelers defender could no longer do anything about it, the play had ended and should have resumed with me on third down.

Am I right? Am I wrong? Is Madden being a bitch? I would love for an explanation please. Thank you in advance.

It may be madden being a bitch.

The rule around that is that a ball is not considered to be thrown until the hand is moving forward. If your hand is moving forward and the ball comes out then it is a forward and pass and the second the ball hits the ground it's a done play. If your hand is not moving forward and it comes out then it is ruled a fumble.

I have however seen this rule completely ignored in a live game. Last year T.J. Yates was going to throw the ball, and did, and yet it was considered a fumble. I swear, referees are f*cking idiots.

Also sad about LT. I modeled my entire playing style after him. With great success i might say.

Well, the long road to the Super Bowl begins again! NFL training camps are up and running. Here in NYC, everyone's talking about the Jets circus. Not much drama with my defending champion Giants, and that's how we like it. The biggest question is will Hakeem Nicks be 100% by opening day.

Oh man....this is going to be a great season full of amazing plays. I just know it. Going against the likes of the Packers, Bears, Lions, Patriots, and Ravens is going to create some of the better games of the year. All of those guys are extreme contenders and I can't wait to watch those games.

It's going to be a wild year - so many questions...

How will Peyton do?

Will the Jets two QB system work?

Can the young Lions take that next step up?

Will Cam Newton suffer the sophmore jinx?

What can we expect from the Saints?

Which rookie QB will have the best season?

People are sleeping on the Seahawks like they did in 2005.

I think the Hawks have a chance. Like none the franchise has ever seen before.

We have a stellar young defense, a young offense that is on the verge of finding their QB that will lean at times on the back of Beastmode.

I like what the Hawks have done so far. Young, big, fast and very very talented players that barely anyone knew.

I dunno if you can call it "sleeping" on them.

most people are just waiting for them to prove it, first.

Seattle hasn't shown that they can hold it together long enough to go all the way, not yet at least.

it's the same reason why I don't sleep on Tony Romo or the Cowboys. I know they've got talent, but they wind up blowing it every year no matter what the hype. people try to build up Dallas every season and every season they suck it up.

if any teams are being slept on it's the 49ers or the Texans.

they're poised to upset.

You don't even know if you guys have a 'decent' quarterback yet. The Seahawks did pick up Braylon Edwards, which is a 'eh' pick up but if he plays he can product, especially with the young WR core the Hawks have.

Atlanta Falcons, yours?

It's getting quite popular these days. There's not a lot of places to play due to the expense of everything, but more people are interested overall than ever I'd say. It's a bit awkward watching games as they go on into the early hours of the morning, but I'd say the overall opinion is very high as once a year two NFL teams play eachother at Wembley and the event sells out pretty quickly.
