Bout time Whiz got the boot. The guy was only good with Warner and after that that team became a trainwreck. Poor Fitz dude is locked in til 2016.

Cant wait til my Hawks go over to DC and take on the 'Skins. Should be a pretty good game. I'm hoping my Hawks win though. we get Browner back which is an absolute plus. I have a good feeling this year.

To be fair, the QB situation in Arizona is a mess. Kurt Warner NOW would be a major improvement.

My dream

Seahawks 21 Patriots 19

Final Play: Russell Wilson pass to Sidney rice with less than a minute left in the 4th quarter.

Fixed it for you. wink.gif

There is no way the Patriots can come through Denver and win. Therefore Broncos and Packers, super bowl smile.gif

My Predictions

AFC Championship - Denver 34 New England 31

NFC Championship - Seattle 24 Washington 16

Superbowl - Denver 26 Seattle 20

Seattle and Washington are playing this weekend, so that can't happen.

I say Packers and Broncos in superbowl, and as much as I hate to say it, I think Broncos win 34 - 35 in a very close game.

I agree, Chaise. I don't see anyone out-performing Manning.

Redskins in the playoffs?

Holy sh*t, as a lifelong Skins fan this season has been beyond magical. I can't in good faith pick the Skins to beat the Seahawks, but when they were 3-6 a few weeks ago I'd have never picked them to win the division, either. Looking forward to the game, but I"m not gonna make predictions because I'm far too superstitious (I think trip can back me up on that, the football gods are cruel).

I'm jumping out on the limb, but I am going with a Broncos / Vikings Super Bowl.

I hate the thought of Andy Reid being the Chiefs coach, it will be a total rebuild project but the guy couldn't get a squad full of stars to the playoffs. But we will see what happens. Chip Kelly is going to be interviewing with a few teams this weekend, and I read the Bruce Aryian (probably spelled it wrong) is being interviewed for the Bears position.

I think the Chargers and Bears are the two best AFC/NFC coaching positions open at the moment.

The thing about the broncos is their strength of schedule. Its the worst out of the 12 playoff teams. That coupled with the fact that they went 2-3 against these playoff teams during the regular season.

I'm a big fan of Mannings (quite frankly they should circumvent the 5 year rule for the HOF and induct him the day he retires) however A. they play in the weakest division and lost to two of the teams they may have to face here in the playoffs.

I'm much more confident about my Seahawks mainly because they have the toughest strength of schedule and they went 4-1 against the playoff teams they met in the regular season.

cool.gif kidding. I'm almost over it.

You make a good point about Manning. I forget that their schedule was so easy. Speaking of schedules, the NFC north is getting absolutely BONED next season. I'm predicting no team will be better than 10-6. Here's who they're playing:

1. Green Bay Packers

Home: Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers

Away: Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals

2. Minnesota Vikings

Home: Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers

Away: Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Seattle Seahawks, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals

3. Chicago Bears

Home: Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, New Orleans Saints, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals

Away: Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, St. Louis Rams, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers

4. Detroit Lions

Home: Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals

Away: Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers

Damn, those are some tough teams, only teams I saw on there for the Packers that aren't good are the Browns and Eagles.

I think we will go 11-5 next year again though.

Have to realize we played those teams in the beginning of the season where the team was still trying to learn how to play with Manning. Plus, we was a third day stop away from coming back in to win in two of those games. Flip the schedule around, and I'm sure it'd be a difference.

Either way, you everyone is a professional team, record wise or not. Scoring 30+ pts on anyone is tough. smile.gif

The problem with the Bears is cheap ownership. They'll never spend money to hire a big-name coach, like a Mike Shanahan.

Most fascinating of the wild card matchups is Washington-Seattle. It's going to be tough for the Seahawks on the road, but I like their defense and RG3 isn't 100%.

NFL 2012 is definitively the year of rookie QBs and amazing comebacks. Aside from my Giants, biggest disappointments were Detroit & Carolina.

That last line bugs me. Mainly because hardly anyone gives Seattle any props for hanging 150 points total through three straight games for i believe the second or third time ever in the NFL. Its always, " it was against two of the sh*ttiest teams" and true both the cards and bills are pretty crappy however both are still NFL teams and the cards still have a top 15 defense.

Just irks me.

And its awesome seeing Chicago will have to play Seattle IN Seattle next year biggrin.gif the bears and seahawks play every f*cking year its ridiculous. Its pretty much an annual thing now lol. We've played them 7 times since 2000, 8 if you count playoff games as well. with 5 being in Chicago.

Well, no surprises this weekend, everyone who I thought was gonna win won. Seattle and Green Bay impressed me with how they played, Falcons and 49ers better be ready to face them next weekend or they might get smashed.

Funny how the coin lands in the end. biggrin.gif Was kinda sad seeing RG3 injure his knee as he did, though; wasn't the best way to end his season. Nonetheless, I'm f*cking excited to see more of him in the future. Him and RW1 (Chris Berman called him that; don't attribute that one to me tounge.gif).

I actually thought that the saints did pretty well considering the blow to their staff and roster this year.

So how do you guys think RG3's situation was handled? I thought the Washington doctors should have shut him down after the first quarter.

They're all talented players, still could've executed their plays better and win more games than they did.

They should have gotten him the hell out of there sooner. His mobility was severely affected by the second quarter and it was clear it was hurting their chances of winning the game. Hindsight is 20/20 but seriously, this guy needs to stay healthy for the 'skins to succeed.

I'm getting a little ahead of myself here but I'm gearing up for a Green Bay vs. Seattle NFC Championship game. I think my heart would crap its pants. We could call it "The Fail Mary Rematch" and submit TUBBSthezombie to further examination of that week 3 sh*tshow. biggrin.gif

Or, you know, Atlanta or SF could win.

you know why Washington lost that game?

Mike Shanahan.

I don't care what he thinks his explanation is. he's an idiot for not pulling RG3 sooner.

don't matter to me though. we're now one step closer to my prediction tounge2.gif

Denver has to hold up their end of the bargain now...

Redskins Piping in fake crowd noise?

Crazy if true. My seahawks were investigated in 2003, 2005, and 2007 for piping in crowd noise and was found untrue.

This coupled with those atrocious field conditions is ridiculous. The Skins need to fix that damn field.

@Pagel: I'd love a rematch as would all Seahawks fans. We're sick of hearing ifs ands and buts from packers fans. We'd relish the chance of beating you guys up in Lambeau and what better way than to do so on the way to winning a Lombardi Trophy. biggrin.gif

Honestly that game was f*cked up on many levels. You guys got lucky on Chancellor PI call and we got lucking on the Golden Tate TD catch.

And f*ck the Fail Mary name. I much prefer Tate Gate or Goldengate tounge.gif Or even Zebragate

Redskins team doctor says that RG3 was never cleared to play. I could maybe see some fines coming the Redskins' way.

A for the playoffs, pretty good match ups although I'm pretty confident that it'll be the Broncos and the Patriots in the AFC. NFC could go either way.
