El Dildo
(also, noice ad hominem there) look who's talking you haven't really made a valid point. you've admitted that you're taking this personally. most experts do not hold Spygate against Brady's individual numbers because Sypgate has nothing to do with his ability to throw the ball. but go ahead. keep digging a deeper hole for yourself... Senex Iunior
Yeah, 'cause knowing what the defense does in no way, shape, or form affected Brady's stats. If you know what the other guy's hand is in poker every single draw, then that's a pretty severe advantage. I haven't made a valid point by concise argument? Rather than attack me because I have an opinion on Brady (in spite of the fact that I said he was a diamond in the rough in the same vein as Johnny U and Kurt Warner), defend the gaming of the system. "Most experts"? Yeah, I see that Jimmy Johnson and Bill Cowher said it was ok to videotape, and that same old "everybody's doing it" argument... even though the NFL explicitly said that what was done was forbidden. Yeah, it ain't just the Patriots that were at fault post-memo, I'll give you that much, but no kind of proper investigation will ever be done now that all the evidence is ash and Specter's dead. I don't see how I'm the bad guy here for pointing out that someone is being lauded for cheating. You know, while we're at it, Mark McGwire was better than Babe Ruth... http://www.secsportsfan.com/belichick-spygate-scandal.html http://bleacherreport.com/articles/529745-...ngland-patriots Pretty much all that I can rehash about this, 'cause frankly it ain't doing any good to say anything otherwise. Brady's one o' dem' der' glory boys. Edited October 18, 2012 by Senex Iunior
El Dildo
you're not the bad guy. I just think you're conflating two issues which don't actually fit together. coaches spying on another team's warmup don't make Tom Brady an accurate passer. the walkthroughs they filmed were not a complete replica of the opposing teams playbook. tubbs51
*They should really be 3-3 Nah, 4-2 is right. They totally should've beaten them cardinals, but in essence, they could be 5-1 really too. they could've been 6-0. We lost to the Rams on insanely long FGs. Jonesizzle
Senex, comparing steroids to this is f*cking crazy man and has no business being involved in this conversation. Jesus man, you, and other people, are/have been blowing this out of proportion. I hope a single NFL team isn't dumb enough to just show all of their cards during a simple practice or walkthrough. And honestly, even if they did do you think team can dissect that in time to play them in a couple days? Regardless, this is why defenses disguise themselves pre-snap. Tom Brady and players who used ILLEGAL DRUGS to become better players shouldn't dare be compared and those players eventually shatter historic baseball records, in which without those drugs would've never ever been possible. Don't even dare say 'without these tapes they would've never won those rings' bull, because it's ridiculous conspiracy theory sh*t.
Leftcoast
I just wanna say GG to the Hawks. As a niner fan, that was a tough game and the Hawks fought hard. I honestly didn't think it would be that close but wow, I do think the Hawks have rebuilt well.

It was a good win for the 49ers to after getting a bad lose last week, plus their division is extremly close right now. I can defianiatly see that division coming down to the last week, so division wins like these are crucial.
johnson. Senex Iunior
I don't know how long the Rams can sustain their improvement, but the NFC West is definitely the division of defense. I wouldn't necessarily say "best four defensive teams" either- we'd be leaving out the Bulls on Parade, those friggin' Texans spearheaded by their All-Universe end, J.J. Watt. Funktipus
It's going to be a fun Sunday - RGIII vs the defending Super Bowl champs. Giants are 0-2 in the division - this is a big game and so is next week against Dallas.

What are your guys thoughts on it? For me, defense should always be judged by points per game instead of yards per game. Looking at it that way the rankings are Chicago S.F. Seattle Arizona St. Louis Right after my beloved Bears comes the entire NFC West filling 2-5. Definitely not the joke division they were just a few years ago and hard to argue they aren't the best defensive division in the NFL.
Chaise
Good win for my Green Bay Packers today against the Rams. Aaron Rodgers played lights out and defense played pretty well, we got 2 easy games coming up at Jaguars and Cardinals so hopefully we can get a winning streak going. I was pretty confident the 49ers were going to win agains the Vikings and the Giants but in those 2 games they played better than the 49ers. Sucks for me those were 2 of the few games that were televised in my area... but oh well.
Funktipus
RGIII is the mf-ing TRUTH - what a game. He had NY on the ropes until Eli pulled it out at the end. That Alfred Morris is nice too. They will be a thorn in the Giants side for the next 10 years. Jets, Jets, Jets.....they had chances to win this game. Cromartie had a sure INT, and that drop by rookie Steven Hill was brutal (that's why they should have signed a solid veteran WR during the off-season). You gotta make those plays against a team like the Pats, because you won't get them back. Jets playcalling on that drive after McCourty's fumble shows you what they think of Sanchez. First down they bring in Tebow for a two-yard run??? WTF???? Sanchez was making plays all night - let him try to get in the endzone and win the game, damn. Jets got conservative and played for the FG. You can't do that against Brady. Poor job by the Jets coaching staff. They should have taken a page from what the Giants did in SBXLII. Detroit Lions - I thought they'd take that next step this season. What a disappointment so far. Edited October 23, 2012 by Funktipus
Pagelzilla
Detroit Lions - I thought they'd take that next step this season. What a disappointment so far. I agree. I didn't expect Detroit to be such a beatable team. That said, I'm not that impressed with Chicago either. Sure, their defense is playing stellar, however, only 13 points last night? Their offense has so many weapons and yet they're so inconsistent.
El Dildo
why are Chicago fans crying about Suh's sack of Cutler? it wasn't even that bad. I heard about it on the radio before I actually saw it. and once I saw it, I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. seems like Bears fans are just a bunch of pussies it was a clean and fair sack. I've seen much worse. I can't figure out why they are so upset.
Pagelzilla
I can't figure out why they are so upset. They're terrified of another Caleb Hanie situation like last season. There was nothing wrong with the sack, for sure. But I understand people being concerned for their QB's safety.

Chaise
My superbowl pick right now would have to be Texans vs. Packers. Texans are just so much better than the rest of the AFC right now in my opinion, and I have to pick the Packers just because they are my team plus they are right up there with the top teams in the NFC, and when you have a QB like Aaron Rodgers, you always have a chance to win it all. What are ya'lls superbowl picks so far?
Senex Iunior
What are ya'lls superbowl picks so far? Texans and Giants. Give Eli Manning full control of the offense like his big brother and the Giants go 14-2.

You and I. See two different offences... Are you referring to the same offence that only scored 13 at detroit? Thats not even close to Super Bowl Caliber. Detroit did have a nice comeback though, so at least something good happened for your Lions My Packers on the other hand played awful today, but we still ended up winning 24-15 against the Jaguars. All our injuries are finally catching up to us it seems, and our offense and defense suffered because of it. This season is reminding me of our superbowl winning season though, were we had a ton of injuries going into the playoffs, but we still came out with the superbowl. Hopefully that is happening again
