Upcoming poor financials due to Sim City tanking... we're not that dumb EA. EA have also stated that a Single Player was discussed from the get go, but they didn't do it. Alick Posted March 18, 2013 Share Posted March 18, 2013 (edited) Well I'm happy. I'm getting Dead Space 3, free, for problems and whatnot that I never experienced. I also just got an e-mail from Sony giving me Motorstorm RC for free too. Can't moan at that. But, in all honesty, I'm loving the game. Sure the cities are small, and some things are a bit stupid, or don't work correctly (yet) but I've been building a private region with a few friends and my brother and it's just a ton of fun trading and helping each other out. I mean, that's a beautiful screenshot no doubt. the game looks great. but it looks so weird. I can't get over how tiny that city is compared to how nice it looks otherwise. it's messing with my eyes. for all those big buildings in the center, the entire city itself is no more than a few blocks across. if you were to drive the streets, it looks like less than a mile from side to the other. it doesn't look right at all. there should be sprawling residential suburbs dotted with medium density / small business stretching out for miles around the downtown area. but instead everything just stops exactly at the square edges with nothing else around it but flat, empty, prime real estate. but you can't build on it because f*ck you. this is my sad face Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The cities look ridiculous compared to the regions you could make in SC4 with a core Downtown with skyscrapers and then lower density as you get further out and then surrounding it with large suburbs. I already have BF3 and played NFS MW (which I find completely boring). DS3 on PC was messed up, so the only option is ME3 I guess. But I'm not sure really. Congratulations and all. Keep climbing the charts. I really enjoy how they paid nice attention to graphics and depth of field stuff. I have sh*t tons of still shots that just look freaking sweet. I played for a few hours last night. I'd say the traffic patch seems to make something of a difference...still not tight yet, but getting there. I imagine I will jam out a few more hours tonight. It's not a lot like the old Sim City games, it's kind of like a mix between Sim City Societies and Sim City 4 i suppose (although Societies had superior city planning, what with the option to choose in detail what gets built where.) SimCity 5 is it's own game, i'm not keen on it to be honest but i keep holding out hope for good news, hopefully an expansion pack catering for my wants. Had a few weird glitches, like buildings building on each other and for whatever reason I couldn't click on anything. Besides those glitches, my only problem so far, the cities few too small.
