Played the 4th and 5th mission.

 

Wow, the case become interesting and it makes me want to play more. I loved the conversation things, it's very creative! Nice idea.

 

I liked the story of Ian. He has a secret that even his friends didn't know what is it. A very great job. biggrin.gif

None of the characters mentioned so far knows of that secret yet. You will find out more about Ian's past story in the next chapters.

Of course you can add it in your trick topic. I have no problem with that. Just try to break it down in steps so that it's more clearer instead of using paragraphs.

In this mission you find out that YOU HAVE BEEN FOOLED HAHA. Oh btw, this is not a useless bump. Also wanted to say that this is not dropped or forgotten. My PC is not working since two weeks now so I couldn't make and play any missions. You can expect a new mission with the same title as soon as it is fixed. Have a good day and a request, please don't spoil the fun by revealing this. Thanks.

Played the 6th and 7th mission.

 

Wow, I loved the parkour challenge. It's very enjoyable even though I failed it

2 times. tounge.gif

 

About the 7th mission, you can make some cutscenes about how Helena

is shot by the enemy. But, it's still a good job. biggrin.gif

Thanks man, I appreciate the feedback.

 

Well, I had in mind about showing how Helena was injured, but it wouldn't have been possible because the player could have driven to any possible position in SA, while attacking/being attacked by those guys. So it was impossible to determine where I should keep the cutscene.

 

Anyway, it can be even possible that Helena would have been injured because of car bumps and not being shot. In the objective text, I had just said Helena is hurt, not how she was hurt. smile.gif

Okay, I finally played your MP.

But only chapter 1.

So, here're my thoughts.

 

Mission 1:

 

I already give you my thoughts about it on the 1st page.

 

Mission 2:

 

You made little typos ("hve" instead of "have")

Except that, great.

I've no words for it, it's great.

 

Mission 3:

 

I like the race but all those checkpoints are close to each other.

And it's amazing how you made that accident. HOW???

But it's kinda short.

 

Mission 4:

 

Again some little typos.

But I just couldn't complete the investigation.

So I just started shooting at sh*t and the gas tanks of parked cars, then firetrucks spawned and I shot those too.

Till I accindently jumped on that bullet lol.gif

So it wasn't very clear to me.

I also saw one of those cars of the dialogue explode when I arrived at the LSPD.

 

Mission 5:

 

Those little typos again.

It was very interesting, but we only needed to drive to Anthony's place.

 

So, a few questions.

Did Ian kill helena??

If so, why did he kill her??

How can Anthony still work if he's blind (or however it's called)??

 

Going to play chapter 2 soon.

Though, I can't give negative feedback to better designers than me.

So there're no negative things I pointed out.

Or that's just because there're no negative things to point out lol.gif

I'll be careful with the typos in the future missions.

 

The bullet is actually an object that I have kept near the car. The checkpoint is kept small, so that may have been the problem.

 

About the questions, without spoiling anything, I will just say you have to find out by playing the rest of the MP. tounge.gif

Sorry for the double post.

 

This mission pack is on hold for some time because I am away from home and so don't have access to my PC. The third mission of chapter 2, Testing my skills, is already in progress (Around 30 objectives has been done).

Just finished playing your missions, and, man, they are great!

I really felt confused and kinda' "excited", it's like that 'investigation' atmosphere...

I have some theories until the moment, but I really think that I'm missing something, and that's what make this kind of missions awesome. It's like if you were in a dark room, and could only see what's very close to you; there's still more and more to see and to discover... man, congratulations. biggrin.gif

 

Oh, I answered the questionnaire:

 

1 - I think that the story is great - you really feel like a detective, and it's like 'nobody is 100% trustable', I mean, you're always discovering more and more things... It's great. Great story, great missions.

 

2 - Honestly, I prefer those 'flashbacks', I think it is more like 'misterious'. I mean, you start the first mission thinking that the cops are 'good' and that they have a 'clean' past and things, so it's really nice when you find out that it's not really like that... (Although I focused on Ian when Anthony told about Helena's ex).

 

3 - In my opinion, there's nothing to change - they're cool, both the questionning and the investigating missions. But, if you want a suggestion, you could try a "1st person camera" on the questionning scenes. It's not necessary, it's just an idea. Things are good the way they are.

 

4 - Uhmm... I don't think I have noticed the "right" sentence, but I have some 'ideas' and theories of what happened from some things of each character that I noticed. But, from my 'thinking line', I think Anthony is the actual "murderer". Although I don't trust 100% on Ian, too...

 

Oooh, if you really excuse me, I have a question about something in your missions: sometimes, for example, the checkpoint appears on the minimap, but the cops also talk when driving to its location, or in the scene when Helena "got hurt", the checkpoint changed location in my minimap. Could you tell me how do you do it, please? I found it great!

Btw, what do you mean by "1st person camera" in your suggestion? Please explain it a bit because I don't understand it.

 

About your questions, click here to see how the 'marker appearing while dialogues' is done. About the changing checkpoint it's almost similar but you set the health of the car higher, spawn an enemy actor without any weapons in the car and add a friend actor nearby. Set the behavior of friend to hold position otherwise he will take the enemy actor out of the car. Give the friend actor any appropriate weapon (depending on the time when you want the checkpoint to change) so that he shoots the car to kill the enemy actor. Then create a checkpoint objective where you want the new marker to be. When the car is destroyed the objective is completed and the new marker of the checkpoint will appear. Don't forget to hide the two actors near the car, just in case someone curious goes to check the original marker. smile.gif

Oh, and about the '1st person camera' during questionning, I got inspired by the game LA Noire. There, when you 'interview' someone, you see the person from the eyes of the detective (in the case, from Ian's point of view). Sometimes you did something like that, so my suggestion is quite 'pointless'. Just to interrogate someone with the cutscenes camera showing the suspect, like if you were Ian... but, forget that... I think the missions are great just the way they are. tounge.gif

 

My overall rating: 10/10

I think I get what you mean by "1st person camera", and I might use it in a mini case that will be appearing in a later chapter. Thanks for the suggestion.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Expect the next mission within 48 hrs. For those who are waiting for a zip file, only three missions, which shouldn't take a lot of time to make because I have almost everything planned, are remaining. Chapter 2 will contain a total of 6 mission. Originally it was 7 but I removed one because of a small change in the events of the story.

Only one more mission to go for the end of chapter 2. I realised that that the two missions can easily be made to fit in one. The zip file of chapter 2 will be released either tomorrow or on Monday.

Played the Chapter 2 Nitesh. It was great as always. And, now I understand why Helena is killed (Or suicide). Maybe because Ian work at the LSPD, during that time Helena have a relationship with Anthony, and when Ian want to come back to Helena, Ian found that he already married with Anthony. That's just my thought. And, it was fun when the whole Chapter 2 is flashbacks missions.

And, I found a mistake in the mission "Growing Relation". When we need to escape from those guys, why Ian said "quickly!" while he's driving the car? You can make his friends to said that, but it's not a major problem

 

Anyway, great missions Nitesh. Waiting for the next one icon14.gif
