spaceeinstein
Anything less then IV's EFLC will be a huge disappointment in my eyes, and will result in my opinion of R* instantly dropping to one near Zee's infamous opinions, and I'll no longer follow their games with as much enthuesiasm or love, and GTA will become "just another game" as opposed to the best game series in the world. I PRAY R* do not take this mainstream route, but rather follow their own example. That's a terrible utterly pessimistic way to think. Just one mistake with DLC and everything else R* will make in the future, no matter how good it is for the price, is off your mind? Look at how R* treated the PC users. If you were in those people's situations, with that attitude, you would have stopped buying R*'s product after GTA III PC came out. That was a disaster for a lot of people. No more mod support, unnecessarily laggy on the average PC (SA was much worse but by then the average person had a faster PC), only just one patch, etc. If R* were to make a DLC for V, based on what they had done in the past, I expect them to make it a superior quality. Cyper
Just to make sure no on get me wrong: I am NOT saying that the dlcs for iv were bad. TboGT was totally worth the money. I am just worried about how it MAY progress. I am worried that gta would become watered down, trusted on bad dlcs. Because I know (no offense) that there are a lot of people out there that doesnt understand this. Its the people who constantly buy charged DLC map packs to COD and then complain that its so expensive, greedy blabla. but yet they buy it. It simply exist BECAUSE the developers KNOW that a great deal of people will be foolish enough to buy it. When you buy a product you automaticly support it. If clothing stores could sell damaged clothing without anyone complaining and just buying it, believe me, they would continue to. Its not a matter of money really. Rather a matter of the result of actions such as these. For instance, FO3 was an amazing game, but then it had really crapy DLCs. Such as one taking place in Anchorage. FO3 costed roughly 450 swedish crowns. This sh*tty Anchorage DLCs, which consisted of one mission taking place in Anchorage, plus featuring a few new weapons, was over in less than two hours. And you couldnt return to Anchorage after either. I bought this junk for about 300 swedish crowns. It was the last dlc I bought. This is why I dont like when people are begging for DLCs. Good games GENERALLY dont need crap like that. EDIT: An amazing parody of mafia 2's Dlcs. This is not how it should be.
acmilano
With my credit card registered in my coutry,i am not really in position to buy DLCs so i mostly buying goty/complete editions(all 4 R* games this generation). But DLCs do distroy the games,Mafia 2 is great example how that game was ruined.I bought complete edition of that game and really, all the good cars was in DLC and each of 3 former DLC(2 jimmy DLC and joe DLC)was longer than main story that was in regular game, and full of missions taken from main story.DA2 and SRTT were the same so i hope that R* don do that. Woody112
The absolute worst has to be the Saints Row the Third DLC's. I've never seen a company milk their cash cow like Volition does. What about this supposed Genki Island DLC which was reported to be in the original game's data files but was locked out of it, just so they could sell it as a DLC later. Because of their DLC approach, Saints Row the Third was- or at least felt- like a uncompleted product. To be fair, the DLC was present on the disc so that a player who doesn't have the DLC could still play with someone who does (a common problem in SR2). GenkiBowl was still god-awful. OT: consumers nowadays really seem to enjoy being nickel-and-dimed for content that should have already been in the original game. It's a shame, but it seems to be the way DLC is gonna be from now on.
Finn 7 five 11
I think people want dlc. Like Eflc since that was proper dlc and was actually worth the money, unlike costumes and such which should be pre-packaged with the game. I too want doctor akin to stock since that is worth the money and was not made before the game came out and could have been included.
Slamman
Reason is it staggers the game out, whereas getting it all at once might burn out your experience, you have all of the game in your lap, DLC offers more over time, using much of the groundwork, with Rockstar's Open World design, it's the best DLC options out there, in many ways, it's getting a GTA at a real steal, price wise
