N0STurboMAX
Hello. I have a question. Unlike GTA San Andreas, will GTA IV always cars be damageable? Previously, in GTA San Andreas, car mods would sometimes be non-damageable. I was wondering, is GTA IV like that? Or are the car mods always damageable? NaidRaida
Normally all the car mods have the same damage model like the original GTA IV cars. And like original cars you can also alter the damage settings for each car. I have found only one very old car mod which didn´t have any damage model (an old Corvette Stingray model). monster875.
NaidRaida: u know what u're talking about? yes, the Stingray doesn't take damage (idk why), but no IV cars have damage models, it's something outdated for GTA, it's the game engine that makes the cars deform when hit. But If a model ever supports damage or not obviously depends on the model itself. The engine may execute the effects but the model could have simply disabled this function. "Damage model" is only a pun of myself. Has nothing to do with a classic damage model or whatever. You can´t say "yes" or "no" in general. It depends on the model but most models I used support all normal features. The details of the damage can be adjusted in handling.dat file. There are no parameters in the vehicles.ide related to the car damage as far as I know.
