locolow2011
Anyways, like the title said, post your favorite album cover art, it can be from any musician, if possible please specify what is the name of the artist, year of release, etc. Also please avoid large images. These are my top 3: Iron Maiden-Somewhere In Time-1986 Radiohead-In Rainbows-2007 Of course i saved the best for last... Rhoda
I'm not the biggest Iron Maiden fan, but I will say that I think their album artwork is some of the best around, even if it does harbour that overgrown corpse they call a mascot. As it happens, the only Iron Maiden album I really dig also features my favourite album art of theirs, designed and created by Derek Riggs. It also inspired the art for compilation album, Somewhere Back In Time which is just as mindblowing. Seriously, look at it. It's like a big "f*ck you" to Egypt. Unfortunately, my brain has farted somewhat, and I can't seem to think of any more. I will be back though, and in greater numbers.
AlexGTAGamer
I only heard about this album a couple of days ago through a random YouTube search whilst looking for orchestral versions of songs and I found this. They've even got "Soviet Connection" (the theme from GTA IV) on there. Rhoda
Hi, it's me again. I remembered a few. Earth - Angels Of Darkness, Demons Of Light (Parts 1 and 2) There's higher resolution photos out there for those that are interested, I just didn't want to clog the page. Also, experimental/drone outfit Starving Weirdos have some interesting album artwork. I mean, it's a woman riding a spider - what's not to like? Finally, virtuoso/weirdo guitarist Buckethead released this album a couple of years back, because the world needs more albums that not only look like, but sound like Michael Jackson driving a spaceship. Vercetti27
the mad magazine chariciture gives you the impression this one mad album, and it is. love lighting, dark and mysterious. its a bouquet of flowers, dunno why but its very memorable. probably the best NO album too still not sure wtf it is. great album too what a basket of fruit is doing on a sludge metal album I don't know. lol Edited February 14, 2012 by Vercetti27
Marlowe.
Iron Maiden had some great cover art, but so did Judas Priest
Rhoda
Me again. I dig Baroness' artwork. It's all done by the vocalist/guitarist from Baroness, John Dyer Baizley. He's done work for Kylesa, Pig Destroyer and Daughters, who all have brilliant artwork too.
trip
Pink Floyd-The Wall-1979 I hate to be a dick, but The Wall had no writing on it when it came out. I bought it day one . I may have to boogie downstairs and take a pic. This is an almost impossible question to answer. I'm going to go with Dead - Europe '72 because it comes to mind right now. Edit: Forgot... Big man hug to Marlowe. for the BOC - Some Enchanted Evening cover. Love that alb, and good cover. Also love Arik Roper's work: One of the only band artwork pieces I've considered getting tattooed on me. Problem is, my buddy recently got it on his forearm. interpolfan11
Great composition and color choices. Is it a garage door? A stage? It appeals to people for some reason, even if they've never heard the music. I love it for the psychedelic visual effect it creates. Hate the album, though. My favorite album art of 2011. I really hope The Weeknd continues to use this typeface for future projects.

For me, it's The White Album. It's infinitely complex and yet perfectly simple, all at the same time. Edited March 18, 2012 by buzbegone
