Apparently, it seems that quite a ton of us prefer "hardcore" gore... something like 3guys1hammer gore. I'd imagine beating someone in GTA V with a hammer and crushing their brain and skull with it - that'd be f*cking crazy. No doubt, gore should be at ANY level depending on the action in the video game. I remember in San Andreas you'd kill someone with a chainsaw and none of their body parts would cut off or anything like that.. that should happen in GTA V. I don't think they'll include "weapons" like the chainsaw this time, because they know they can't get away with comic deaths on this generation of consoles (or any future ones, for that matter). If they gave us a chainsaw back in GTAIV, the first thought everyone would have would have been to go on a rampage with it and see limbs being torn apart. Imagine everyone's disappointment when there is no dismemberment. Anyway, I wasn't really into the GTAIV modding scene so I don't know if there ever was a gore mod, but I guess it can be done if people really get desperate for some gore. chestycougth Posted February 19, 2012 Share Posted February 19, 2012 i would like to see some gore - not because i'm sick. when you blow people up in gta iv they behave too much like rag dolls and just fly in random directions - and when you shoot someone in the face 30 times with a shotgun its a bit sh*t that there is just a bit of blood. i dont want to run around shooting people once and they explode in a shower of blood (like SR3 Apocafists) just if i keep shooting someone then there head should explode or something. djsinnema Posted February 19, 2012 Share Posted February 19, 2012 I think that some of us gamers would like to see some extreme stuff in the cut scenes. i think that after murdering an an enemy, simular to when you kill vlad in GTAV. Just instead of feeding the fishes, you see the protag cutting up the body in a dark basement. This is followed by seeing him leave the body on another enemys door step. The series should also give homage to the classic mafia movie The Godfather, by having you put a Decapitated horses head in a director/colorful racing identity's bed in the middle of the night. nikonatorbelick Posted February 20, 2012 Share Posted February 20, 2012 blowing up heads in previous GTA's was also silly, you don't shoot someone with an M9 in RL and see their heads just pop up, only high caliber weapons would get close to doing that, like an anti-materiel rifle .50 cal bullet or a shotgun shell fired at point black to your head from a gameplay perspective, it's pointless, it does not add anything to the game, it makes it more satisfiying, don't get me wrong, but at the end, having that kind of gore in a game does impact the stability of it and if R* would add gore or as you guys want it "EXTREME GORE" then they would have to remove some other stuffs from the game, right now is mostly a hardware limitation, wait till the next generation consoles and games will start to shine on every aspect, including GTA Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

OT: On a technical note, I doubt it's even possible. As somebody said earlier, the character models are one big mesh. They aren't made up of little bits and pieces anymore. The blood patches would be very visible on their body, if you shot them with a shotgun point-blank in the head, you'd see where their head had opened up. I wouldn't mind the possibility of potential limb-loss, as long as it's very realistic. Shooting them in the head wouldn't necessarily remove it, but if you were to slice them sideways with a sword, why not? Broken bones might also be cool too, imagine running over a group of pedestrians to see their limbs all disfigured as they're nailed up against a wall? Nothing too over-the-top though. I would like something somewhat like MP3, but a little toned down. It just seems gorey as f***. I also want cremation of peds to be like in IV. It really felt disturbing in L.A. If the game was based around a Mexican drug lord expanding his empire, I would think there would be alot more tourcher.
