EXTREME GORE

Do you think there should be EXTREME GORE in GTA 5? Kinda like Gears Of War, when you shoot someone with a shotgun

at point blank range, their body turns into little chunks of meat. Or in Gta Vice City when you shoot someone in the face with a sniper

rifle. I just think that in Gta 5, you should be able to shoot of people's limbs and heads. WHAT DO YOU THINK? bored.gif

Meh. I don't want to see a guy's guts after I kill him with a chainsaw. Certainly there has to be a limit, even for R*.

Hmm it would turn into a horror game, I wouldn't want extreme gore but I wouldn't mind semi realistic gore for example.. I believe the way gore can be acceptable in GTA is if body parts disappeared rather than got blown off, if the arms and legs and head remained on the floor decapitated from the body then yes that is extreme and pretty over the top. However if heads/arms/legs simply disappeared in a cloud of blood then i am sure it would be much more accepted as technically it isn't GORE in the normal sense.

1) if i shoot someone in the arm with a high powered shotgun then that arm should come off

2) RPGs and Grenades should blow off limbs

3) Realistic bullet wounds from pistols and machine guns

4) Fist fights should result in some bruising and wounds

A good amount of gore will do me.. I dont want GTA to turn into Manhunt though. They are 2 completely diffirent games!

Here's my opinion. No, I'm not really a big fan of a lot of gore. If you want tons of gore, play Manhunt.

1. Exit wounds like in Red Dead

2. "Tearing off" clothes, for example, clothes will be a little ripped after various injuries.

3. Perhaps if you shoot someone in the head with a rifle, very rarely, will there head pop JFK-style.

4. We should see blood coming from injured parts of the bodies.

Only gore thats ever been in a GTA game is the ability to shoot peoples head off. And even thats gone now.

O REALLY ??

RDR had a "gore" thing going on where if you'd shoot someone in the face, there'd be a bigass hole there.

Similar would be cool.

I do miss the ridiculous fountain of blood that happens when you shoot someone in the shoulder or head in III/VC (can't remember if it was in SA), though.

It was easier to pop a ped's head when they were just made of chunks for each limb. GTA III and VC. By VC tommy was a single skinned mesh (set of them, one complete player for each outfit). By SA all the peds were skinned like Tommy and CJ had moved on to a skinned-component setup we've seen now evolve into niko, and the peds work on a sort of skinned components system like CJ did.

Basically, it's not a fear of gore or anything, it's a technical thing.

I don't need a bunch of gore personally. The way bodies flop around and the sound of a skull hitting the pavement in GTA IV was more brutal and gory than any game I've really ever seen, because it was so realistic.

Not a mod wink.gif

If it's on PC, it's a fix that adds it back in, could be considered a mod, but we had that on first release of the PS2 version wink.gif

I wouldn't mind a little

. Exploding enemies like in Dragon Age II, I could pass on. They only time an enemy should explode into little bitty chunks is when you are using explosives like C4.

I do want gore in the game, but only if it's going to be proper and realistic. I don't want the comical style of blowing of people's heads like you could do in SA.

PC version has a 'gore' cheat activated by default.

On PS2 you have to put it in.

On topic, would like drops of blood like in GTA VC when cutting people up by chainsaw.

Or chainsaw in general.

I think Red-Dead had a good gore level. Maybe increase it a little bit.

I don't want a situation where there's too many body parts on the screen, and the game lags.

Well, we already saw that Max Payne 3 uses Rage 2.0. And we even saw bullet wounds there! For ex. if you shoot someone in the throat, blood will splatter around and it leaves a hole in the throat. They will probably use that aspect too.

Like people said, if the gore from RDR such as bullet holes and knives sticking in people (throwable knives please Rockstar!) is in V I'll be happy.

Back in the day I would have liked to have seen more gore, but it just doesn't interest me now. A realistic level level would be fine for me. Saying that I loved using the Katana to take people heads of Kill Bill style in VC (or was it SA, it's been a while so I can't remember lol)

Yeah, like a lot of people have said RDR had a pretty good amount of gore. I'll be happy with that amount, but smear effects would be cool too, like if you hit someone with your car and drag em it's leave a consistent trail of blood. Mainly I wanna see bullet wounds though.

I want to see separable limbs, like in GTA 3. Other that that I am happy with how it is now.

Actually no. I don't like how teenagers are fascinated about torture-porn-gore crap. What's so fascinating about that? It's just disgusting. The Saw movies are the biggest pieces of junk in recent cinema (except for the first movie which was brilliant). Will there be extreme gore in GTA5? Most likely not. They will probably keep it the same way as in IV with slightly new details. Sure, some people might find it cool to shoot of limbs in a game but after a while it will not be as appealing and fun.
