Grand Theft Auto IV: Faustin's Fate is the 3rd episode in the GTA IV DLC packs. The game features more weapons, gameplay, and soundtrack. It also includes original radio stations from GTA 4 & EFLC. A final version of EFLC will hit the shelves in future days. The atmosphere of the game shows a darker, and more violent Broker. The game follows Sergei Sidolov in his attempt to become a Russian kingpin.

 

 

 

In the early events of GTA IV, we this time see the story of Sergei Sidolov, son of a Russian kingpin who once ruled Liberty City. Now working for Vlad Glebov and under Mikhail Faustin's wing, Sergei will show Liberty that he is not just a thug from Broker, but a crime boss and a Public Enemy. But after a frame of the murder of Lenny Petrovic, son of Russian kingpin, Kenny Petrovic, is put on Mikhail. It's either Mikhail's life taken or Sergei's.

 

 

 

Major Characters

 

Sergei Sidolov - 29 - Russian/American

Sergei is the son of decased Russian crime boss, Boris Sidolov. Sergei was taken from Vlad after the murder of his father. Ever since, Sergei has been working for Vlad in certain duties. He was introduced to Mikhail Faustin in his teen years. Now, he's a member of the Faustin Family, and a helping hand to the Russians.

 

Vladimir Glebov- 41 - Russian

Owner of the Comrade's Bar and loan shark, Vlad raised Sergei in half of Sergei's childhood. Although he is a loyal member of the Faustin Family, Mikhail admits that Vlad is a useless idiot.

 

Mikhail Faustin - 45 - Russian

Crime boss and leader of the Faustin Family, Mikhail is a short tempered violent man. Mikhail was introduced to Sergei when he (Sergei) was a teen. Mikhail always thought Vlad was annoying, as he says in some missions. He wasn't always crazy, his wife states in IV.

 

Dimitri Rascalov - 39 - Russian

Born and raised in Russia, Dimitri fought in the Soviet Army in the Cold War. In the war, he met Mikhail. They both went to prison, where Faustin protected Dimitri from abusive inmates. He and Mikhail also have matching tattoos in each of there palms. He gives Sergei errands when Mikhail isn't around.

 

Kenny Petrovic - 48 - Russian

After the murder of his son, Lenny, Kenny's first thoughts of the murder were the connections between Faustin and him. He sent plenty of hitmen, which Sergei fights off during missions. Kenny at first, believed that Faustin sent his little boys (Sergei and other members) to kill Lenny. But he later discovers that Niko killed him. Because of this, Dimitri sends Niko to kill Faustin to make peace. When Niko does kill Faustin, this time Faustin's mob goes after Petrovic's gang. Thinking that they killed Faustin. Kenny is the main Antagonist.

 

Igor Smirnov - 57 - Russian

Brother of Llyena Faustin, Igor is introduced to Sergei from Llyena herself. Igor also works with Faustin, helping with the drugs. At some points in the story, Igor and Faustin argue about Llyena.

 

Charles Reed - 25 - African American

Charles is a member of the North Holland Hustlers. Dimitri sends Sergei to Charles so that they can have an alliance with the Hustlers. Charles often gives missions to Sergei involving gang violence and drug wars.

 

Trey "Playboy X" Stewart- 25 - African American

Introduced by Charles, Playboy helps Sergei and Faustin Family to grow an alliance and help with the drug business.

 

Mickey - 56 - Irish/American

Mickey is a bartender working in Vlad's bar. Vlad tells Sergei to help Mickey with the business. Most missions involve stealing shipments of cigars and beer, and an activity that has you to serve beers to customers.

 

Anthony Maskavic - 28 - Polish/American

Anthony and Sergei are both close friends and partners in crime some of the times. Anthony is a drug dealer in Hove Beach. Most of the time, Sergei tells Anthony to watch out for any police, as he may get caught one day.

 

Fernando Reyes - 26 - Latino/Puerto Rican

Fernando is a member of the Spanish Lords. He is introduced to Sergei from Anthony. Anthony states that Fernando is one of his best customers. Reyes is an arms dealer and will send guns to Sergei, like Armando did to Luis.

 

 

Minor Characters

 

Michael Smirnov - 24 - Russian/American

Michael is a fratboy who thinks he can get any girl he wants, like Brucie. He is also the son of Igor Smirnov. He says comments about Anna, saying that if she wasn't his cousin he'll "totally do her".

 

Badman - 30 - Jamaican

Badman is a member of the Hillside Posse, a Jamaican gang. He is a buyer of Anthony and another one of the best. Badman will give Sergei mission regarding Drugs and deals.

 

Andrei Ivanov - 29 - Russian

Andrei is a member of the Faustin Family. Faustin send Andrei and Sergei to kidnap Roman and Niko after the murder of Vlad.

 

Random Encounters

 

Mel - Mel is a drunk who appears most of the time in Comrades. He appears in some missions

drinking with Sergei. In his encounter, he states that a couple of guys are looking for him for pissing on there couch, throwing out there TV, and getting them kicked out.

 

Anna Faustin - Anna is the daughter of Mikhail. In her encounter, she says that some European man (Niko) came out of nowhere and killed her boyfriend (Jason). She also states that shes seen Sergei work for her father and thinks that Sergei is cute.

 

Pathos - Pathos is a wannabe gangster rap star. He states that a man has been stealing his albums across Pathos' stand. He commands you to go and destroy his stand, but there are consequences.

Gameplay

 

The gameplay for Faustin's Fate is the same of that of GTAIV. Although, the atmosphere of the game is darker, and grittier than Lost And Damned. The setting of the game is still in Liberty City, 2008. But since the DLC will be released in this year of 2012, R* has tweaked the game a little bit, and transformed the city into a more active one.

 

The gameplay also features various activities than IV & it's 2 episodic DLC's.

The storyline mainly surrounds the borough of Broker and it's neighborhood of Hove Beach, and Firefly.

 

 

Activities

 

Bowling: Just like IV, bowling can be played within a friend activity, or alone.

 

Torturing: A whole new aspect of the GTA series, Torturing is an activity in which Sergei slaps, stabs, and punches the victim to get info out of his/her mouth.

 

Serving: Serving lets Sergei work the counters of Comrades bar. The activity features Sergei serving beer, cigars, and other substances to a customer. The activity is similar to strategy games in which the player serves customer to keep them satisfied.

 

Shows: Shows return to Perestroika that features new faces like Sasha, the abnormal muscle, and Caesar, a tourist from Serbia that explains differences between his country and Liberty City.

 

Comedy Clubs: Kat Williams and new comedian, David Chapelle, hits the stage of Split Sides.

 

Gun Club: Gun Club is similar to San Andreas' target practice, in which the player has to shoot targets appearing throughout the target area.

 

Deconstruction: This activity features Sergei planting bombs in Construction sites throughout Algonquin. The missions are given from a man in the Congress against the ideas of building Children Hospitals in Liberty City.

I'm Rich: Another episode of the show about celebrities showing off useless things just to show poor people that they can afford anything.

 

Republican Space Rangers: After Butch leaves off with the Alien, and The Commander and Dick get the ship stuck in a hole. A mysterious titanic ship ship sucks all of them in. The only problem is, those aren't normal aliens. They speak in some kinda language in which every word starts with the letter P, and wear to much hair gel.

 

Liberty Sports Network: LSN shows highlights from past games from LC's sports teams, even though they always lose.

Mission 1 - It's Gonna Cost Ya' Mission Giver: N/A

 

 

The game begins with Grand Theft Auto Faustin's

Fate appearing in a black background. The scene fades

away as the theme starts playing. We now see the

Platypus arriving. The camera then turns the other

way, and swooshes throughout the streets of Hove Beach.

The camera shows certain crimes occuring

in Hove Beach. The camera finally rests in Roman's

Cab Service. We now see Sergei Sidolov, sitting on a desk

with Vlad Glebov sitting on the desk chair.

 

Vlad: ....So then i grabbed her from behind, and then

I thrusted her in her junk.

 

Sergei: Ha! You're full of sh*t.

 

Vlad: Man, wheres this fat f*ck with my cab.

 

*Vlad pulls out his phone and dials Roman.

 

Vlad: Fatty.... Where are you?..... Well hurry up or I'll

cut your cock off. What?..... No, bye.....

 

Sergei: *checks clock. sh*t, it's late. I got to go Vlad.

 

Vlad: Wait, I need you to take me home.

 

Sergei: Don't you normally sleep in the trash?

 

Vlad: f*ck you, come on lets go.

 

*Roman enters the building as Sergei and Vlad are exiting

 

Vlad: There you are fatty. We need the cab, so give me

the keys.

Get in the cab.

Appears on the screen below. Once you get inside,

on the top left corner, the driving control and other

info appears.

 

Drive Vlad to his apartment.

 

As you drive Vlad starts a conversation.

 

Vlad: Man, I'm so f*cking tired.

 

Sergei: Of what?

 

Vlad: Of Mooses appearing out of nowhere and f*cking

my mother. What the f*ck do you think?

 

Sergei: Well thats why I'm taking you home, now shut up.

 

Vlad: Whatever. Anyways, Faustin wants to see you

tommorow.

 

Sergei: You've got to be kidding me.

 

Vlad: No, I'm not kidding you, kid.

 

Sergei: I wish you were. Mikhail is just really pissed off,

I'm suprised Dimitri is still alive.

 

Vlad: I'm suprised you're still alive, without me or your

father, you would've been 6 feet under.

 

Sergei: I didn't need my father, all i needed was strength.

 

Vlad: Whatever you say, Big Boy.

 

Once you get to the apartment, Vlad will tell you to leave

the cab back at the depot.

 

Drive the cab back to the depot.

Appears as an objective.

 

Once you get to the depot, a black Congoscenti with custom

black rims appears in the front. The car is actually Sergei's,

and it appears in the safehouse no matter what happens

to it.

 

Drive to the apartment.

Is the next objective.

 

The apartment is located in Hickock St, Montauk Ave.

It features a bedroom, living room with a small plasma,

and a kitchen with a big dining table in it. Now all you

have to do is sleep.

Vlad later sends you a text saying, "Hey, remember what

I said about Faustin, go and see him."

 

An "F" appears on your Hud the next day.

Mission 2 - Late Fees

Mission Giver - Mikhail Faustin

 

 

The next day, after the first mission, an "F" appears on your

Hud. Meaning that Faustin is going to give you a mission.

Drive to his mansion, and walk to the arrow that stars the mission.

A cutscene then starts.

 

*Faustin laying in his couch, with Dimitri sitting on a chair in the

dining room. Dimitri notices Sergei passing thru.

 

Dimitri: Sergei, how's it been?

 

Sergei: I've been great, Dimitri, f*cking great. Where's Faustin?

 

Faustin: I'm over here!

 

*Sergei walks into the living room.

 

Faustin: How are you Sergei?

 

Sergei: I'm...... great.

 

Faustin: I don't believe you, Dimitri, check him out.

 

*Dimitri gets up from his chair, and slowly walks up to Sergei,

inspecting him suspiciously.

 

Sergei: *pushing Dimitri

What the f*ck is this?

 

Faustin: Just making sure you aren't working with Petrovic.

 

Sergei: Petrovic?

 

Faustin: *Immitating Sergei with a dumb voice

Petrovic? Yes, Kenny Petrovic. One of the most feared leaders

of the biggest Russian organization.

 

Sergei: Then how come I never heard of him?

 

*Faustin gets up

 

Faustin: Because...... I don't f*cking know. You've been living in

a cave, I just don't f*cking know. I'm f*cking stressed, okay.

 

Sergei: Why?

 

Dimitri: Some deliquents took some of Mr. Faustin's drugs without

paying.

 

Sergei: Ok, so.

 

Faustin: So you and Dimitri are going to go and kill those bastards.

 

Sergei: Really....

 

Faustin: Yes really. Now go.

 

*Sergei and Dimitri both start exiting the Mansion. But Faustin

stops Sergei.

 

Faustin: By the way, Sergei. Tell that fat mentor of yours to give

me that money he owes me.

 

*Sergei and Dimitri both leave.

 

Get in the car.

Appears, as your objective is to get in Faustin's Patriot. Once

you get in.

Drive to the stealers house.

Shows up on the bottom of the screen. The house is located in

Dukes.

 

Sergei: Man, why is Faustin so f*cking pissy.

 

Dimitri: He's having a tough time, Serge.

 

Sergei: Well that "tough time" has lasted for about 12 years.

 

Dimitri: Mikhail is a hard working man.

 

Sergei: Hard working for what?

 

Dimitri: It's because of him we have food on our plates.

 

Sergei: I only eat Burger Shot, and they don't even have plates.

 

Dimitri: It's an expression, Serge.

 

Sergei: I know, I was just trying to be f*cking funny.

 

Dimitri: I don't like jokes, Mikhail doesn't either.

 

Sergei: You're the strangest f*cking man I ever met.

 

Once you get to the house, the stealers will automatically

start shooting. Dimitri will hand you a pistol. After killing

all the stealers, one of them will escape in there car.

 

Get in the car, and chase the stealer.

 

Now you need to enter the vehicle and chase down the stealer.

Once you do, you need to pick up the money, and drive back to the

Mansion.

Mission 3 - Batter Batter

Mission Giver - Mikhail Faustin

 

An "F" appears on the Hud in Faustin's mansion. A cutscene rolls in.

 

Dimtri: - But Mikahil, how are we supposed to solve this with

violence?

 

Faustin: Because it's the only f*cking choice we have.

 

*Sergei walks in

 

Faustin: Or Sergei is our other choice.

 

Sergei: I just came in, what the f*ck?

 

Faustin: Look, there's still an asshole who still owes me cash.

Take this bat, and smash his skull until his brain shoots out

through his eyehole.

 

Sergei: You have a twisted mind.

 

Faustin: And you have a job to do.

 

Sergei: Can't I ever get a break?

 

Faustin: Breaks are for pussies, are you a pus- Oh wait

you are.

 

Sergei: Fine, I'll do it. But I must get paid.

 

Faustin: Ok, Andrei will be going with you.

 

Sergei: Andrei, where is he?

 

Andrei: I'm right here.

 

Faustin: Ok, you two bitches go. Dimitri, go with them.

 

Dimitri: Yes, sir.

 

*The three walk out

 

Get in the car.

 

Once you get in,

Drive to the docks.

Appears in the bottom of the screen.

 

Andrei: How've you been, Sergei?

 

Sergei: Faustin is an asshole.

 

Dimitri: He's not.

 

Andrei: Dimitri, just because you and Faustin have a closet

relationship, doesn't mean you have to respect him all the

time.

 

Dimitri: Andrei, f*ck you.

 

Andrei: hahahah! I'm just messing with you, Mitri.

 

Sergei: He doesn't like jokes.... Anyways, where is this deadbeet.

 

Dimitri: Mikhail sent some of our boys to capture him. He's

in an abandoned warehouse in the docks.

 

Sergei: How are we going to get money out of him by capturing

him?

 

Dimtri: We're not, we are going to beat the money out of him

wtih a bat.

 

Sergei: f*ck, more violence.

 

Once you arrive the docks, you have to follow Dimitri and

Andrei to the warehouse. Once inside, you will go into

a small room, with a man tied to a chair. Dimitrti will hand you

a baseball bat.

 

Beat the deadbeet senseless.

 

Now all you have to do is press the attack buttons. There are

light swings and hard swings, what you have to do is get

good enough damage. But not too much, that'll kill the

deadbeet. Once you gave enough damage to him. He will

drop cash, and you'll have to pick it up.

 

Both Dimtri & Andrei will thank you and leave.

After the last mission you get a phone call from one

of Sergei's old friends, Anthony Maskavich.

 

Sergei: Hello?

 

Anthony: Hey bitch, you don't remember your best

buddy?

 

Sergei: *grunts

Anthony..... How've you been?

 

Anthony: f*cking bad.

 

Sergei: Your mom kicked you out of the house again?

 

Anthony: f*ck you! Meet me at some Jamaican

Homebrew Cafe sh*t near Dukes, okay.

 

Sergei: Wait, but wh-

 

Anthony: No time! Just get here bitch!

 

Once the call is finished an "A" appears on the radar.

Once you get there a cutscene rolls.

 

Anthony: Ah! Look Badman, this is Sergei.

 

Sergei: Hey.

 

Badman: How ar yu doin' ma youth gwan'?

 

Sergei: I'm... okay.

 

Badman: Goo to hear, gwan, goo to hear.

 

Anthony: Anyways, me and Baddy, here, are expecting

an "important" shipment. Come on drive us there.

 

Sergei: Fine, but are there going to be any troubles?

 

Anthony: I don't f*cking know, I'm not a f*cking

fortune teller. Lets go.

 

Get in the car.

Appears at the bottom.

 

Drive to the deal.

 

Anthony then starts a conversation.

 

Anthony: So Badman, what's the shipment about?

 

Badman: These gwans' aw goin' to bring in da'

pixie dust' straight don' frum da' Carribean.

 

Sergei: So these guys are Jamaican?

 

Anthony: Yes, that's exactly what he f*cking said.

Mama Jamaica, the capitol of the druggies.

 

Sergei: You should really watch out in these deals. Who

knows, maybe one day you'll be arrested.

 

Anthony: Arrested, shmarrested.

 

Sergei: *sighs

 

Once you get to the docks, Anthony will instruct you

to follow him to the drug leaders.

 

Anthony: How are you doing, fellas'?

 

Leader 1: No answer, where's money?

 

Badman: sh*t, youth, I fogot to brin' in the mula bawk

adda cafe.

 

Leader 2: No cash, no crash.

 

Anthony: We really need these drugs.

 

Leader 1: Well you really need to pay.

 

Anthony: f*ck you!

 

Anthony pulls out a gun and starts shooting. Use the

pistol to kill the rest of the Jamaicans. Anthony will

yell out, "Clear these f*ckers out till' me and Baddy

steal the shipment!"

 

Kill the goons.

 

Once you kill them all off, Anthony will command you

to drive back to the Cafe.

 

Anthony: That was some intense sh*t, right Baddy?

 

Badman: Tru dat'

 

Sergei: Not as intense as Badman forgetting his cash.

 

Anthony: Hey atleast we did all the work.

 

Sergei: What the f*ck? I killed all the assholes

trying to kill us.

 

Anthony: Just shut up, my head hurts.

 

Once you get to the cafe. Anthony will thank you

and say that Badman can need some help.

 

Mission Complete

Mission 5 - Clean Cut

Mission Giver - Vlad Glebov

 

 

After the last mission, Vlad will call Sergei and tell him that he has work for him. Once you get to Comrades, a cutscene rolls in.

 

 

*Sergei walks in the bar, and notices Vlad sitting with a Serbian man. Sergei takes a seat in a chair.

 

Mickey: How's it been, Serge.

 

Sergei: I'm alright. Hey, who's that guy Vlad is talking to?

 

Mickey: Ahh, I have no clue. Maybe new to the city.

 

Sergei: Yea, more like the country.

 

*A man walks in and sits next to Sergei.

 

Mel: Hey Mick.

 

Mickey: The usual?

 

Mel: Nah, I got myself some cash.

 

Mickey: No really?

 

Mel: Yes, I'm borrowing from a couple of friends.

 

Sergei: Your drug dealers?

 

Mel: f*ck you, loser. Mick, give me...... Vodka.

 

Mickey: No sh*t?

 

*The Serb then exits the bar, and Vlad calls Sergei over.

 

Vlad: Hey Sergey, come.

 

Sergei: Tell me.

 

Vlad: Sit down. I got a problem.

 

Sergei: Tell me about it.

 

Vlad: f*ck you, listen. I got a man, who needs to pay his protection money.

 

Sergei: Protection? From you? Hah.

 

Vlad: Listen damn it! I got a man working on another guy, and I need you to take care of this guy for me. This man owns a barber shop in Algonquin, next to a fagget club. He hasn't paid his money yet, so I need you to burn his business down.

 

Sergei: Fine, I'll go.

 

Vlad: Here take this Molotov.

 

Drive to the barber.

 

Once you get there, instructions will show on how to use a Molotov. Once it's finished, throw a bottle through an open window and the man will come out. He's going to begin running on foot, so Sergei will have to chase him. You don't have to kill him, because just as he's about to cross the road, a police cruiser will run him over.

 

Pick up the cash.

 

When you pick it all up, Sergei will call Vlad.

 

Sergei: I got the cash, as for your friend, let's just say he'll need to pay two types of insurance.

 

Vlad: Good, very good. Keep the cash.

 

Sergei: Wait, so I did this just so I can keep the f*cking money.

 

Vlad: Yes, you need it more than I do.

 

Sergei: Really?

 

Vlad: No, get to the bar, I've spent too much money on your childhood.

 

Once you get to the bar Vlad will thank you and give you half the cash.

 

Mission Complete

Not bad, and now I want to replay Vlad's mission cutscenes to see what Sergei is doing in the background. The only thing I thought was strange is that Vlad is sending Sergei all the way to Algonquin. I think it would be more reasonable to have Vlad shaking down the people in Broker/Dukes than all the way out in Algonquin.

Mission 6 - My Boss's Wife's Brother...

Mission Giver - Mikhail Faustin

 

After the last mission, Faustin will call Sergei and tell him to come to his mansion for a party.

 

Once you get to the mansion, a cutscene rolls in.

 

*Sergei walks in, and Mikhail notices him.

 

Faustin: Ahh! Sergei!!

 

Sergei: Faustin...

 

Faustin: What? You no happy to see me?

 

Sergei: I don't know, do I look happy.

 

Faustin: No, you look f*ckING happy. Anyways, I want you to meet, Igor.

 

Igor: Hey, how ya' doing.

 

Faustin: He's Llena's sister.

 

Igor: f*ck you, asshole. You better be treating her right.

 

Faustin: Oh, I'm treating her right, alright.

 

Igor: Whatever, atleast I get more pussy from you.

 

Faustin: Yeah, from your mother and your sister and your brother and...

 

Sergei: Alright, can we get to the f*cking point here?

 

Faustin: Ok, Igor here is going to go make a deal with some Chings in the lakes.

 

Igor: Wait, water? Umm.. sh*t I got a meeting I hav-

 

Faustin: Meeting? You're already meeting me, bitch.

 

Vlad: Faustin!

 

Faustin: sh*t.....

 

Vlad: How are you? Are you okay? Why haven't you call me?

 

Faustin: Shut the hell up. Sergei, go, Igor you too.

 

*Sergei and Igor leave

 

Faustin: So you want a drink?

 

Vlad: Hell yes!

 

Once you leave the mansion, you need to drive to the docks and grab a boat. Once you get in, you need to ride to the Chinese ship.

 

Igor: Aww, I'm not feeling so.... great.

 

Sergei: You've never been in a boat?

 

Igor: Never been in water.

 

Sergei: Wow.

 

Igor: Man I can't beleive Faustin makes me do this sh*t for him.

 

Once you get to the boat the captain will send over two sweat shop workers to the boat. But all of a sudden, Russians come out and start shooting. The workers will help. The final task will be to take the workers and Igor back to the mansion.

 

Mission Complete

I can say concept's good, missions are good but there's some breaking points. I think you should reflect Sergei's alchocolic side during some missions. You're reflecting Faustin's characteristic partially, I think you should reflect him just like in IV. Work on them, I suggest. Keep this good work, man.
