Last year Prop 9 was shot down because of lack of votes (potheads are too forgetful to vote lol). GTA V is focused on money in a big way and I was thinking Marijuana could be a big part of your $$$$ supply. Not necessarily by selling the drug, but possibly with missions where you must transport it by plane/car/boat/etc. In California marijuana is legal on a state level but not a federal level so it's possible they could integrate it into the game well. Having feds on your ass if you start getting over your head or whatever. As a marijuana smoker I would definitely approve and find it fun to do missions regarding the California marijuana trade. Slamman Posted February 13, 2012 Share Posted February 13, 2012 The rumor is that several types of gangs will inhabit GTA 5, that their missions will involve drug trade to some extent, as far as the law, it's supposed to be about medicinal purposes, so using it to get "high", as the trade NORMALLY entails won't relate to the legal issues I believe. GTA San Andreas had the perfect spot for pot smoking in Ryder's backyard but it was never utilized to it's potential, probably because the storyline was anti-drugs. And seeing as how many here in the US are pushing for its legalization (now more than ever), I don't see how they can possibly avoid bringing it up, even if it's just for a topic of discussion on one of the talk radio shows or a radio news update in-game. OT: these points are big reasons why i think pot will have a role. not only is it california, and being a cali resident i can walk down my street and have weed in 5 minutes, but in our age there is such a huge profit out of the "medical" marijuana industry. Bigger than ever. Right? and not just big in the US but its biggest in cali, no other US state has been pro weed as long as us. the cartels sneak just as much pot over as coke. plus there is a great storyline for federal vs. state power with it, thats been a problem recently for some local cannabis shops.
