GTA V on Wii U Leaked?

I'd say it's more so that say, Ubisoft can't release a game on Wii U and name it GTA V. But the point still stands, this means absolutely nothing as far as whether or not we'll see GTA V on the Wii U.

Ah, you may be right, and I may be over thinking it. The fact that they haven't released any titles on the Wii since 2008 may mean that they are working on something bigger, or that Nintendo's audience is not their target. Probably the latter.

I might be biased on this one - I don't care for Nintendo and I think that motion controls are gimmicks that don't belong in proper games like GTA. I'm also annoyed when people brag about how the Wii U graphics are equal to or slightly better than the 360 and PS3 - yeah, it's 5 years later, go figure.

 

I might have explained this before, but let me repeat it again for clarity.

 

Rockstar have spent over half a decade getting used to current gen consoles: R* Presents Table Tennis; Grand Theft Auto 4; Midnight Club: Los Angeles; Red Dead Redemption; (to an extent) LA Noire and Max Payne 3. For GTA 4, they have said that they were second guessing a lot of production as they didn't know the limits of the consoles.

 

Now that they do know the limits of the PS3 and more importantly the Xbox 360 (the native console for most games), I really don't think they'll waste time trying to figure out how to produce a game for a completely new console.

 

If they do, it'll only be a port (for the above reason), and due to the lack of experience with the console it will almost certainly be the least superior version of the game.

 

 

The only way in my mind that GTA V can be on the Wii U is if Nintendo buy timed exclusivity.

I know it's Wii U, but personnaly, It's all the same for me, yes R* can release on any consoles as long as it brings them money but still, Ninteno stuff aren't worth buying. Even if it's Portable, still sucks, only good is Nitendo DS, or DSi. Personnaly I doubt there will be V on Nintendo Consoles.

Not necessarily - Rockstar probably saw the gap in the market (handhelds), so gave one of their smaller studios the task of creating a game designed for that.

 

They're already extremely well established in the console field, so Nintendo don't have nay leverage over them to make them port the game over to a new, alien system.

PC fanboys probably do have better hardware, however, we're aware RAGE and Euphoria don't mate well to PC as a port, though I hate that word, it's likely to carry weight because RAGE/Euphoria are designed as a build up for Sony and then MS's Xbox successor. It was in reality a ground up build, and I believe the investment means that even with new hardware, it behooves Rockstar to keep making some software built on the RAGE for current gen consoles, it allows the long hardware lifecycle that Sony and MS want in the first place, and it aids people who already own these machines!

Only a port if RAGE and Euphoria are really geared around Xbox360 and PS3, which as you know is PowerPC versus IBM Cell, but IBM had a hand in both designed CPUs, keep this all in mind, and IBM invented the PC!! (the mainframe variety more so)

I think it's ridiculous how many people here are throwing unwarranted insults at the Wii U. Especially you. The Wii U controller has plenty of buttons for a GTA game. Two analog sticks, a/b/y/x, D-pad, and triggers. Along with Select/Start/Home. And let's not forget the giant touch screen right in the middle, along with the camera and motion controls.

 

The Wii controller may have been a challenge but I'm sure they could have revamped the controls to work on it.
