TheGodDamnMaster Posted February 12, 2012 Share Posted February 12, 2012 It's a relatively long read, so I'll just go ahead and show you what I'm about to address, so you could decide for yourself if you want to read any of it. *Casting calls list down one character from GTA4 *Casting calls mentions "McReary" as a characters last name. *Casting calls for people in California-where GTA5 is based *Niko has a plane ticket to San Andreas *Packie reasonably leaves Liberty City. His flight could be the flight taking off at the end. On the last shot of Packies supposed Airplane leaving we see a big V right below it. Suggesting that he is leaving for Los Santos, considering that is where GTAV is set. *Homeless man in GTA5 trailer looks very similar to Jerry Kapowitz from GTA4 *GTA5 Jewlery store robbery could be linked to the theme of diamonds that we saw in GTA4 And then there's the last three slides from Gay Tony's credits. First Slide: Packie Enters Airport, to leave LC, obviously. Where to? LA? Or perhaps he's going to go and get the diamonds from that homeless dude. Who just so happens to be in Vice City. Second Slide: Lady walking inside the Bahama Mamas club. The Bahama Mamas club was once owned by "Vic Manzano". If you don't remember, Vic Manzano is wanted by not only the LCPD (Liberty City), but he's also wanted by the LVPD (Las Venturas Police Department, San Andreas) In BoGT, Vic Manzano is supposedly at Las Venturas, until we see him again when he catches his lady giving Luis a blowjob, then all hell breaks loose. Third Slide: Airplane (Possibly containing Packie) flies off into the distance. Notice the V? The big bright V!!!! GTA V I was reviewing the second slide, when suddenly It dawned on me, remember back in like, 08, when someone found THIS!: I felt like GTA IV's websites might just have some little hints for GTA5, and bada bing bada boom! To sum it up, It does! I found this website: www.freejames.org It describes someone by the name of "James Pedeaston", who is a disgusting Child molester. His name: "Pedeaston" reminded me of GTA5s Jet Ski name, and I for some reason thought he was connected to that brand: So I googled his name, clicked on GTA wiki to see if he had any connection with the Jet Ski, and although I found no information pertaining to the Jet Ski, I did however find this in the trivia section! : "Leaked casting calls for Grand Theft Auto V show that he will probably appear in the next installment of the series." I never knew about this, I remember leaked casting calls, however never really caring much for them, considering I didn't really believe that the next game would be set in San Andreas. So I decided to look up as much information about ALL of the casting calls as I possibly could. So after searching for quite a while, I finally came across another bit of interesting calls: First off, notice the top: "California, United States": As we all know, GTA5 is set in California. Now, look at the names: "Eddie Mcreary": IRISH ETHNICITY, smokes weed, and lives with his cousin. Anything ring a bell? If not, here's a hint: MCREARY---IRISH!The McReary Family from GTA4! The McReary family included Packie. Eddie is said to live with his "cousin". REWIND!: Remember that whole BoGT ending credits? My theory? At the end Packie leaves Liberty City to fly down to Los Santos. Packie is relatively wealthy, considering he, and Niko successfully robbed a bank, escaping with $1 million (Packies share is $250,000). However in this bank robbery, a friend of Packies is killed. I'm sure that this heist mission is mentioned on the radio, with the reporter stating that Packies friend, has a connection to the McReary family. This would be incentive enough to leave Liberty City. Lay low for awhile (Not to mention: One of his brothers is murdered by Niko, and the other is in Jail). And why not in California? Anyway, Packie goes down to Los Santos, and decides to buy a house, at which point also housing his druggie cousin: Eddie! ------------------------------ Then we have incentive number 2! Does anyone remember Jerry Kapowitz from GTA4? GTA4s main storyline connecting Luis, Niko, and Johnny all have to do with Diamonds. In fact, they all intertwine because of the diamonds. It ends up being a wild goose chase, and a competition to see who can lose the diamonds the quickest! Anyway, Johnny steals the diamonds from Luis (or Tony), Luis steals the diamonds back from Johnny, and Niko and Packie go to steal the diamonds from Luis. Then Bulgarin attempts to steal the diamonds from Niko, and Packie, however to avoid a certain death from Bulgarin, the man who steals the diamonds drops them in a trash truck. FINALLY we see the diamonds once again at the end of TBoGT, Luis is walking to Tony, and accidentally knocks over a homeless man: Jerry Kapowitz. After Luis helps Jerry up, Jerry notices something. He picks up this small black pouch, and finds the diamonds! It is then said that he bought a mansion in Alderney, and also planned to move to Vice City and open a gun and liquor store. THEN: The GTA5 trailer is released, and in it is a homeless man. Many people believe this homeless man to be: Jerry Kapowitz. Assuming GTA5 is set in 2012, this will only be 4 years after Jerry found the diamonds. The man in the trailer does look very similar to Jerry, if only a little bit chunkier. If it is Jerry, then what happened? Didn't he go to Vice City? Well, actually, he said he planned to go to Vice City. He could have been sidetracked into San Andreas. Two things could have happened there: 1- He sold the diamonds to a jewelry store for cash. 2- He lost the diamonds. My first theory isn't all that far fetched. If you look back at the trailer for GTA5, you'll notice 3 dude's hoping out of a Van wielding silenced AK-47s, breaking into what looks like to be: A jewelry store. I thought one of these men could have been the protagonist. I was wrong! After a poster on here pointed out that the bald dude from the convertible, is the driver in the van. This bald character jumping out of the van, also reminds me of Packie. Did then, and still does! Could Diamonds be the main theme AGAIN? So anyway, my final thoughts for now? We're definitely staying in the GTA4 era. Magic_Al Posted February 12, 2012 Share Posted February 12, 2012 Rockstar explained what separates eras is the difference in detail between the standard definition 3D games and HD. Characters who were seen as 3D models in the non-HD games can't exist in HD (because they'd have to be redesigned and then there'd be two different versions of the character). Old characters can return if they're only heard on the radio or featured in 2D media in the game world such as newspapers or TV or Internet. James Pedeaston was actually introduced in GTA San Andreas as a radio personality and is therefore a character like Lazlow who can exist in all GTA universes. He'll never appear in the interactive 3D environment. GTA V should be presumed to be in the same universe GTA IV by default, unless Rockstar has written a story that breaks with that continuity. I mean seriously, its pretty obvious each generation of consoles defines this, but if they happen to include Tommy Vercetti or the Elvis impersonators from GTA1 you wouldn't exactly have a cry over it... The nightclub owner had to come from somewhere, and Las Venturas is 99% not in GTA V. Packie McReary was always supposed to have gone to Ireland. I have a feeling that Packie Mcreary will be in GTA V too, why else would they put him on the credits instead of Niko, Luis, Johnny, or any other more important character. gsbadreligion Posted February 13, 2012 Share Posted February 13, 2012 i hope hes in don't want everybody returning just because it needs to be its own game you know but it'd be sweet to see packie. my favorite characters were yusuf, packie, brucie, little jacob, and either niko or luis. yusuf hopefully is in too, he was a freaking riot with his crazy talk. hope to see characters like these because it made the game so much more fun getting to know more about the characters and there backgrounds and stuff like that. just started playing gta 4 again storywise without cheats(isn't easy but im doing alright might have to try a mission a few time but im getting the hang of it).
