To be honest, I think all those cars found in MP3 was not code from GTA I think it was the vehicle codes for the vehicles in Max Payne. I know some coding expert will disprove my theory but whatever... I belive there needs to be at least four types of firetrucks and eight types of police vehicles:

Fire vehicles:

Engine

Ladder

Chief

Airport

Police:

CVPI

Charger

Impala

Tahoe

Slicktop CVPI

SWAT truck

SWAT Van

Unmarked Charger

First of all, thank you for being a firefighter! Not many men are as brave as you and I'm sure your community is proud of you! I agree with all of your ideas. The side missions in SA was my most favourite stuff to do and it was a shame firefighting missions and paramedic missions were not in gta 4. Id love to see them return, especially if you get a uniform- that would be really cool. I love the idea of dressing up as a firefighter and stealing a jewel in a burning building, that is the stuff I like to see in GTA, and i think something like that would be an awesome mission. I myself am more of a police guy. Sorry if it sounds like im not talking directly to you, but I copied and pasted this from one of my previous posts. Hope you enjoy:

I think it's safe to say the GTA game series is on massive virtual game of cops and robbers. Many of us like to go on a shooting spree, and see how long we can last against endless waves of police officers at level 6 wanted level. Some of us like to be on the other end of the law, beating up wrong-doers with baseball bats while role playing as cops. Heck, some of us have friends and clanmates just to chase and shoot at as if it were a big game of cops and robbers. To further enhance our law abiding or defying adventure, I think some of the following features should be added into GTA V to make the game more realistic, and overall more fun...

>NPC's can commit random street crimes such as: beating up a homless man, hijacking a car, robbing a store, stealing womens purses, breaking store windows, muggings, shootouts, drug deals, you name it!

>Police who witness these random street crimes will persue the NPC as if it were a player controlled character by arresting, tase-ing, chasing (on foot and in vehicle), calling for backup, and even shooting if the suspect is volent.

>Police should use equipment such as spike strips/stop sticks, tazers, K-9 units, rubber bullets, batons and helicopters to make your in-game run in with the law more authentic.

>Police should use authentic tactics instead of the classis GTA "Charge in and shoot!" mentality. Do this by (for example) on higher wanted levels, regular police officers create a perimeter around the area you are in, guarding escape routes while NOOSE teams, FIB agents, and sniper teams deal with the situation using a variety of tools and tactics such as using smoke grenades, stun grenades, tear gas, tazers, dogs, shotguns, SMGs, sniper rifles, carbines, flashlights, helicopters to try to neutalize you.

>In persutes police will drive more aware of their surroundings, avoiding pedestrians, lamp posts, telephone poles, fire hydrents, and other cars. Police will use stop sticks to blow out your tiers(like in Vice City), use tactical vehicle contact such as the PIT maneuver, and create roadblocks.

>Have police Use non leathal force when on lower wanted levels, such as: persuing/chasing, tackeling, using batons and tasers, to arrest you. Have police use leathal force on mid-level wanted levels, such as: using dogs to attack you, use of handguns, spike strips and helicopters. And on high wanted level have NOOSE teams repelling from helicopters, and comming out of vans/trucks with heavy equipment such as M4s and shotguns with bodyarmour and tactical grenades.

>Have police randomly "sting" you on side missions such as drug dealing by having undercover cops show up leading to shootouts and chases. (happens randomly, for example: in GTA IV taking cars for Brucie: undercover cops will show up every 10-20 cars to try to stop you from getting the payment for that car)

>Police cars use real life models: patrol cars = Buffalo(charger), Sedan(crown victoria), FIB(undercover cops)=Beurito(windowless van)

NOOSE cruisers= Rancher(or Tahoe) and slicktop Sedans.

>Lights on the police vehicles need to be LED on everything except patrol Sedans(cruiser seen in trailer) and cars should have grille lights, deck lights, rear lights, and headlight/ tail light wig-wags.

>Ability to go "on duty" as a police officer(essensially starting vigalante side-mission mode) at police stations, giving you a police uniform, car, tazer, and the ability to respond to crimes to arrest, or dispach criminals. While in this mode, police will view you as another police officer thus removing the ability to gain wanted levels. These missions will help increase your respect with the police (which will lower costs when arrested) and lose respect with criminals creating a higher chance you will be mugged or jumped on the street.

>Police uniform can be unlocked in multiplayer by playing the "Cops N' Crooks" game mode allowing a greater role play experience.

and for regualar singal player use after completing the most wanted list on the police computer.

>When customizing regular cars in single player in garages or spray n' pays, be able to add deck lights and siren to any vehicle to make other drivers get out of your way.

>Have lights and sirens on seperate controls. Have lights on Square button for PS3 or X button on xBox360 and the sirens on the R3 button along with the horn. This will make police vehicles less annoying to drive.

The vigilante side-missions are not supposed to be like real police officers, vigilantes dont wear uniforms and sh*t. Vigilantes are illegal. But I agree on police tactics.

Im not saying you HAVE to wear the police uniform while doing a vigilante mission, im saying that you CAN wear one if youchoose. And you can only AQUIRE a uniform by compleeting the vigilante missions. If you want to be like Batman, go ahead. Im just saying it would be nice to have the option to wear a police unoform to make the role-players (like me) happy.

That's exactly what i am hoping for. There will probably be the Engine and Ambo at least and for PD there will probably be the CVPI, Charger, Maybe the '03 Impala like in IV and the unmarked Charger and SWAT Truck and some form of SUV for the PD.

Hey guys, just a little thing i wanted to talk about real Quick. As you know there are the new screens out and one is the police helicopter, which looks great and so does the rest of the Los Santos Area that we can see. Anyways, I have been watching the GTA5Videos channel and one of them got me thinking about the possibility of that the older fellow in the trailer may be a police detective and that he may be piloting the Police Helicopter in the Screenshot and that maybe the Protagonist is in the co-pilots seat and that both characters are working with each other during a mission. here is maybe how it could be playing out:

So you get a call from the character driving the red sports car in the trailer saying hes being chased by the police and needs your help. So you (the Protagonist) call up the (possible) detective to try to help him out and the best option the man gives you is to use a police helicopter to rescue the man from the other highly determined officers who wouldn't end the chase no matter who called it off. So you meet the older detective at a helipad and you take off and overtime its just you and him in the helicopter (maybe you are flying) and you are following the pursuit from overhead and you see the part from the trailer where the car takes the quick turn and the cruiser almost hits or does hit another car and so (if you are flying) you have to follow this man as he races from the city into the more suburban part of the city where the man crashes the car and runs into the alley where the pursing officers get out and chase on foot (the part from the trailer) and then whoever is piloting the copter swoops in low enough to scare the officers and to allow the man being chased to jump in and then you fly off.

Now remember, this is all just a possibility from the mind of a fan who just wants more info like the rest of us.

Tell me what you think in the comments below.

LA City FD is one of the largest fire departments in the country. There are many types of Fire trucks, Fire facility's, and fire operations and Gear/Equipment. Now LA City FD has a system with there trucks were there is an assessment engine, aka an ALS engine (which have the word "Class 1" written on the side and the flat cab roofs) which have paramedics on them along with Firefighters.

You seem to be quite the LAFD buff however you are wrong on one little feature.

The "Class 1" on the sides of their rigs stands for the fact that they are a Class 1 Fire Department for ISO (Insurance Services Office) ratings. There are only a handful of departments around the country who have achieved this prestigious rating and they proudly display it on the sides of all their suppression apparatus.

Oh and I am a Deputy Fire Chief and longtime gamer and fan of the GTA series myself but these features don't belong in a game such as this but rather should have a game designed around public safety of their own as a whole...

oh, well to be honest I didn't really know what the "Class 1" meant and I believe that's what it meant. And yes some of these features don't belong in a game such as this and I would love to have just an emergency services game, but no major company will make one except for the simulators like FireSim or whatever its called. But for a game like GTA to go out of its way to add in features like an expanded Fire Department would show that not only does R* listen to its fans, but also that they are trying to add in that extra amount of realism into there games.

I agree with the OP fully -- the fact that they took out FireFighter missions in GTA4 is a disgrace.

Firefighters in GTA IV were 100% useless. they didn't even put fires out.

Ok, so we all have seen the new screenshots, including the ones with the Lambo up front and the army of police vehicles in the back. And As we could all tell (for those of us who really paid attention to it) that the Police Cruiser was upgraded from the one in the trailer. The one in the trailer looked to be based off a 1999 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, aka the CVPI and the one in the new screenshots look to be based of the 2011 CVPI, which is the last model of the current CV. Now in the picture with the Red Lambo there seemed to me what looked like a Police Lambo in the background, but I couldn't be sure due to the amount of Police Vehicles in General. Also the lightbar is different too.

Now I expect that Rockstar will keep this up and give us new modeled Fire Apparatus, more based on what the LAFD uses, which is Mainly Pierce Engines and Ladders. I have a feeling with all of these new screenshots that are coming out that we can be expecting a new trailer sometime soon.

I want my fire and taxi missions back. Even though I do the fire stuff in real life, I still need that extra cash in the GTA universe. There really weren't that many ways to make extra cash in 4, so bringing back the old stuff would be a good start.

Money wasn't really needed in GTA IV unless you didn't use cheats. You would need money to buy weapons and ammo. I think they will bring back those old missions in GTA V because it seems that it'll be about the money on the count of the V having a dollar pattern.

I'm behind you 100% mate, I missed the firefighting missions in IV greatly and I think that they should bring them back. Also your point on bringing out and actual Firefighting career is genius! colgate.gif I would seriously listen to this guy R* he knows what he's talking about smile.gif
