California has many bizarre bylaws which ban an array of things legal elsewhere in the country like some lawnmowers, waterproof ponchos, shark fin soup, AR-15s, foie gras, and ferrets. There's more, but Google isn't being very helpful. When you consider that MJ is pretty much legal in Cali it IS kinda funny how much other stuff is outright illegal. True that. Of course, California tried to enact a law which would prohibit people under 18 getting M games. Course, that didn't go through. Sadly, a lot of things that really should be legal are illegal. Even my non gamer friends made the connection between going down in a blaze of glory and getting locked up. Mostly because I don't save/reload after a less than stellar outing in any GTA city. Thats for pussies. But if you want to speak about which state is the idiot of America then...there are quite a few that are waaaaay ahead of Cali. The thing to remember is that the trailer for GTA 5 came out at a time when new games were releasing, among them, SR 3, and as it appears, Rockstar were mounting a pre-emptive strike. Wasn't just me who noted that the GTA 5 trailer alone was a major news event online, at the time, and even made COVER news for some magazines, I know... Much to the chagrin of people here! As for Cali, they have to continue emission testing cars, we stopped that in MN years back now! It was nice to not have to bother, my cars were 80s gen and passed anyway!
