How long do you want the Single Player to be?

EDIT: Obviously, people aren't reading the subtopic line.

THIS IS EXCLUDING THE SIDE MISSIONS, COLLECTIBLES, 100%, ETC.

GTA IV was only about 12 hours if you only did the story. My speed run of IV came out to about 9 hours (taxi's and skipping all cutscenes)

I don't have Xbox Live so all the games I play are open world with plenty of activities.

 

It better be about 1000+ hours with loads of repeatable missions and many things to do with your money.

 

I really want to feel like I have something to do on the game. I literally lost things to do on IV leading me to go on a humungous rampage.

 

I've killed, according to IV; 43,698 people. That's a lot of boredom.

 

I want V to be the belle of the ball. I want it to be the most ambitious game Rockstar has ever created! I WANT THE GAME TO TAKE A BOLD NEW DIRECTION IN OPEN WORLD GAMING!

yeah, but I'm not incompetent when it comes to video games. People don't seem to understand that the length of time it takes you to beat a game the first time through, is usually quite higher than when you know what you're doing. First time I played through GTA IV it took 30 hours to get 100%. The second time was 12ish with only the story missions completed. The Third time, I took taxi's everywhere, skipped every cutscene, and didn't mess around with anything but the story, it took me 9 hours.

Your poll options suck. Getting 100% in IV without using taxis or cheats and regularly appeasing friends took me like 50 hours. V should take at least 60.

I think GTAIV had 94 missions(somebody correct me if I'm wrong). Well, if missions were of similar length, I would go for ~130 missions.

All GTA's I played was just the story missions to just restart it all over again, I love all GTA plots!

I thought it had 126? Idk. But yeah poll option, lol, id like 45-70 hours without cheats or taxis, i mean, tink of how big the map will be, there will be much more locations etc to do missions on, and its their "most ambitious" game yet.

Same length as GTA 4, which is near 30 hours on the main story missions alone, and that's if you're rushing.

 

I'm shocked you even considered 3-5 hours! Yeah that might pass for Cock of Duty series, but not for GTA.

Who even plays GTA only to rush from mission to mission? That'd be missing the point a bit I think. In any case, 10-20 hours is bare minimum of time expected to take to finish GTAV's story. I'd expect the game to be even a bit longer than GTA4

Hold on, you skip the cutscenes and then claim you completed the "story" in 9 hours? If you skip the cutscenes you don't know the story, and that's a hefty component of the single player.

I agree with my Scottish friend here. That isn't "completing" a game, that's doing a speed run.

I want the main story to be over 25+ hours of gameplay.. And the whole game to be around 100-150 hours of gameplay!! I want GTA V to be really long.. I'm sick of playing short games this gen.

I spent 14 whole days on IV and around about the same amount on RDR, I'd expect V to either match or exceed these time limits.
