Man in the red car?

The voice and the face are Ned Luke. Its too much of a coincidence for it not to be. As far as him being the protag. well, why the f*ckk not? It makes the most sense. He is main character material.

I have to agree with what Hydra is saying... I think the guy driving the red car, is the same guy driving the Van, the similarities are there. Also that the black guy running from the cops has nothing to do with anything. Just a random ped being chased by the cops.

Only time will tell though. We will just have to wait and see I guess.

Ned Luke's face and the balcony man are the same, Ned Luke's voice and narrator's are not the same. He has no main character material, because he does not have the characteristics of a protagonist.

I'm guessing your talking about his previous roles. That is not reason to believe he can't play the leading man. Every actor, pretty much, starts off playing small bits then they finally get their big shot. This is Ned's big shot.

We don't want to play as an old man in a suit, just as BrianJohnsonsBrotherCarl said, we think that Ned Luke would look very strange in some of the clothing that we prefer these days

Do you play GTA games to dress your character up in your favorite designer clothes? He has to be a young buck so you can admire his figure in his tight jeans? Wow. Ok. I think the guys at R* know what their doing. Older protags are not uncommon. John Marston, Max Payne, Tommy Vercetti. And those are just some from R*.

All of them have a special image, we look at them and say, "Man, he is sooo cool". John Marston had his badass cowboy look, Tommy had his iconic hawaiian shirt, Max Payne has the undershirt, beard, and bald head. Ned Luke has a suit and wrinkles, that's boring, we do not like boring. The hispanic man has that kind of "I don't have alot of money right now, but I want to rise to the top" look that CJ conveyed, nobody wants to play someone who already has a lot of money, that just ruins the fun.

To be honest, it doesn't even matter to me who the protagonist is. The hispanic dude would make a great protagonist, as would the balcony dude. I know R* won't disappoint. But Hydraulic, please tell how you know the balcony dude has a lot of money already? And John Marston has wrinkles, so does Max Payne. They are total badasses! With age comes wisdom and experience, and that is good for a criminal. Just because Ned Luke is 53 in real life doesn't mean he is that old in the game. And the fact that people like you are judging the balcony guy with the few wrinkles and LITTLE big of grey hair he has is just stupid. I remember seeing that same character driving full speed in an Audi in the the trailer.

Nonetheless, I see the hispanic dude being a good protagonist as well. Like I've said before though... we will have to wait and see. I'm sick of playing the guessing game.

Your making some assumptions there buckaroo. You could just as easily say he doesn't have money because he wants to retire but has to return to a life of crime. We saw him in a suit and a jumpsuit. Judging from previous GTAs there will be more to his attire. He looks like a guy who can get stuff done and who you wouldn't want to fuk with. Meanwhile your hispanic crush is a guy who wears a wife beater and revs his engine at girls. Yeah. Not a douchebag at all.

AAAH WTFWTFWTFWTFWTFTW JUST LEAVE THIS f*ckING FORUM YOU STUPID MORON

You just watched a little trailer. You don't know NOTHING else about ANY characters that appeared in the trailer.

And the voice said that he came to the city to have a normal life, but he started it all over again (the crime sh*t).

SO, you must think: hm, he thought that he was going to relax, drink some whiskey, f*ck his wife and play basketball with his kids, but he went back to the crimes life.

And by the way, we don't know nothing about the game. He may be rich at the start, but after a mission he may have lost all the money and will try to retrieve it.

He does not appear poor as Niko appeared in GTA IV, he does not showcase the characteristics of someone who is at the bottom of an empire, or someone who takes orders. He was controlling the men in the bank robbery, which leads us to believe that he is a cult leader, presented with some of the other points we have stated numerous times.

Yeah, hes just like Charles Manson. Did it ever occur to you that what we saw in the trailer could have been shot after he made a little money? I know this has crossed your mind. He drives a nice car. Someone who is broke can't do that. Unless of course he stole it.

I honestly think that he's the protagonist. He sort of just has this vibe to him... I don't know.

Actually, no one know's until Rockstar* decide's to say anything, and that could possibly never happen at this rate. sarcasm.gif

And of course the Hispanic man appears poor yet he bought a nice convertible as well? At least Ned Luke LOOKS as if he is able to purchase a car. As we've stated before, Ned Luke doesn't actually do anything other than drive normally and kick in a door, The hispanic man was shown actually making an attempt to get away from the cops, and it wasn't a cutscene as the robbery was, and besides, attempting to escape from the cops is a crime, kicking in a door is not, and they may argue that nevertheless it is still a robbery, but they don't see Ned Luke actually pointing the gun at someone and taking their money, and as irrelevant as that is, and as stubborn with information as R* is, we still think that R* would give us something much better than that.

I cringe thinking about if the younger guy is the protag. It's literally so obvious that it's Ned Luke. If you have to freeze frame to see a character performing something that a main character would do, odds are they're not the main character. Especially when:

-The older guy is featured so prominently.

-The tweets congratulating Ned Luke on the role.

-The guy on the balcony is a spitting image of Ned Luke.

-Their voices are the same.

-GTA has become more of a darker, mature game. An older protag fits in perfectly. Not as someone mentioned before "A kid in a wifebeater revving his engine at a chick."

You have to rewind or pause the trailer to even get a really good look at the Red car guy. He's never less than 20 feet from the camera. Ned Luke was the star of the trailer and is the star of the game. Accept it!

You said everything. If he's not the protagonist, he will be the second most important character (protag is the 1st) and will give you a lot of missions to do.

But I really believe that he's the main character. Nothing proves the opposite.

The man on the balcony will be the protagonist and you all will be surprised with his story.

End.

No , he wont! He will be a boss that gives us missions..

If they have one protagonist, it's obvious that it's Ned Luke, simple as that. The voice, the look, it all adds up. If we have more than one, we'll see. We've seen 'cinematic cameras' of both Ned Luke and the black character driving in the trailer, it's quite obvious that those pieces of the footage were taken whilst controlling the player during gameplay.

Whoever the protagonist is, he's obviously got some cash, because he bought a big house, and plans on retiring.

I'll go out on a limb here, and suggest something happens very early in the game, where he loses his cash and assets.

There would be no need to enter or return to the criminal world, if he has cash, other than revenge or a kidnapped child etc.

But Rockstar have stated that it's about the pursuit of the all mighty dollar, thus, he returns to the criminal world, for cash.

It's unlikely, the young black guy, would have had the cash to buy a house, and plan retirement, in the first place.

I'll say the Ned Luke guy, is, or is related to, or somehow connected to the protagonist.

The young black guy just an associate of the protagonist.

Have they ever given the thought that he could be the antagonist?
