Shout out to my Social Club compadres! I game on SC because, well, it's ROCKSTAR, and I remember my password! hahaha

 

As an aside to the above comments, Games for Windows Live is looking to meld with XBLive networking, with Windows 8 and beyond, so expect there to be some benefit to that!

It sucks that you have to log in to 2 different systems to play multiplayer. Either ditch Social Club or GFWL Since I doubt R* is going to ditch Social Club why not let it serve as being the host to find games. Dedicated servers with Social Club responsible for listing and registering those servers. And no lobbies, lobbies suck! If you have to lobbies then allow the people waiting to play some sort of game while waiting.

Even if it does, what's stopping me from playing my installed games by other means?

Good luck ever reinstalling them without steam to activate them. (And yes, I know that Valve has said that they would remove the activation if it ever came to that, but you would have to have them downloaded already.)

 

Don't get me wrong, I see where its going, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.

Can I roll back update if it screws my game? Or redownload the game without this update? No. Here you have one of Steam's biggest cons.

That includes, Securom, Steam, GFWL, Ubisoft DRM, Tages and every form of DRM.
