I voted Social Club because I'm kind of addicted to it lol.

But if I had the choice, I would of voted for both the SC and Steam.

If you ask me, it has to be Social Club or Steam, i'm not a huge fan of Games For Windows anymore after GTA IV.

GFWL

I want to double up on chevo's like I did with GTA IV

I'm betting that Microsoft will not miss this oppotunity as GTA IV has been their top GFWL game since it's release.

I feel like GFWL was just a mess in the interface and all from what I've seen (I don't own a high end PC)

Don't forget that Rockstar Games was not happy with Microsoft. It took Microsoft very long (6-7 days) to give the "green" for those GTA:IV patches for X360 and PC. Thats why i think L.A. Noire for PC din't had GFWL.

Have you got a source as to when "Rockstar was not happy with Microsoft"?

MSFT take time to do their own certification for a reason, to make sure the patch won't do anything bad to your Xbox or PC. Sony do this too, so surely Rockstar was not happy with them too?

I have butthurt every time I read this bulls**t. Majority of gamers shouldn't suffer just because someone wants to double his ego dick score on Live.

I said chevos not gamerscore, there is a difference.

I voted Steam. GFWL makes me restart a game after updating. I hate that. At least with Steam it updates first before it lets you play the game. No restarts and logging in necessary once you start the game. Don't like GFWL at all.

Whats chevos? Achievements? Well it's almost the same.

You login before starting the game.

Well quite a difference actually, the achievement itself is recognition that you have "achieved" something and gamerscore is just a meaningless number.

There're will be achievements on Social Club. So I don't see the difference where to earn them.

Voted for none of above because I don't want any for SP and only Social Club for MP and video uploading.

Steam. I don't mind if they integrate Social Club with the game like they did for L.A. Noire on PC, but I don't want external applications just to play GTA V aside from Steam.

Idealy I'd want the game to be DRM free. Start the game, a launcher comes up and checks for updates, if there are updates they download/install then you go straight into the game. None of this Steam/GFWL/Social Club c*nting around, straight into the f*cking game!

Social Club integration will be there no matter what. I like GfW because it guarantees certain things like 360 controller integration and Live messenger support.

Steam on the other hand is a massive pile imo. I hate dealing with it in TES:Skyrim and FO:NV. If I'm going to own the game, why do I never need to touch the disc?

None of the listed. I miss times when you could just buy the game, install it, launch it, and pick a server to play on. With no external software required.

Those were the times...

leik oh em jeez!

GFWL, so it automatically picks up my 360 controller and actually allows me to use the triggers and both analog sticks. RGSC is just annoying, no reason to to have a third program hogging up valuable system resources while you're trying to game. Or log into multiple services for that matter.

Steam, it's more widely used than anything else, and it's practical. Whenever my computer starts up it logs in, with GFWL I need to log in again, complete annoyance.

GfWL ≠ GfW

And you hate Steam because you don't have to use the disc? Wow.

Whenever I play GTA IV, GFWL automatically logs me in after RGSC does the verification. Even if I choose to play "offline" in Social Club, I still get automatically logged in to GFWL. I like GFWL because of its full controller integration, and games like GTA lend themselves more to controllers than a mouse and keyboard.

Fully agreed.

Even 2008 game GRID doesn't have any client and still had OK MP.

And here is another person thinking I don't know that... Every time I bring this up... sarcasm.gif

I'm a big opponent of Digital Download. All it takes is for one company to go out of business and you don't own your stuff anymore. It happened with D2D and Manhunt2 PC.

Steam has major issues that everyone glosses over just because everyone else likes it. I for one don't just go with the crowd.

Well tough because digital download is the future of media. And trust me, Valve isn't going out of business any time soon.

Even if it does, what's stopping me from playing my installed games by other means? Steam is a fantastic help for indie developers who need a help starting, and we get cheapass games with easy automatic updates. Steam is also a life line for older games that barely sell at all on any other platforms.

GfWL is sh*tty bloatware with no benefits whatsoever. It gets in the way, that's literally all it does. Yes, Steam can get in the way some of the time but for most of us the benefits outweigh the bad sh*t.

What, like that one non-issue you just stated? Or do you just like being alternative and different, not going with the 'crowd'?
