K9Mur Posted February 11, 2012 Share Posted February 11, 2012 A dude pulled up close to me in a car and honked. I got in. He then took off and we were driving at what seemed like light speed. He then did a jump and then we were literally flying as if we were in an airplane across the city. Later he got a chopper at the airport. I got in with him and he flew under the ocean and into a hangar by where the choppers spawn. I got out and was able to walk out of the hangar and back onto the runway. He stayed and began launching rocket attacks on others from within the hangar. How did he do all that? Also, why is it so difficult to kill other players? One guy was apparently making a McDonald's run so I took out several high-power guns and was standing right next to him and shot him in the head for what seemed like dozens of times and then I ran out of ammo and he was still alive. StonersDarkness Posted February 11, 2012 Share Posted February 11, 2012 ok, i can shed some light here... the hanger thing was known as a glitch or also "Blue Hell" Blue Hell is in EVERY GTA GAME... i know how to go under the map multiple ways, by my good sir you were with a glitcher and cheater... as for not being able to kill someone check the game info on your phone, if Friendly Fire is OFF it means you can't kill anyone the conventional way (with a gun) but you can hurt them and piss people off by using explosives I.E. grenades, Rocket Launcher... but do note that it takes a god awful time for them to die even though the character goes flying 5 feet in the air and lands safely... i swear, Friendly Fire was the dumbest thing put in GTA IV... Glitching is not cheating, at least it isn't in Free Mode. Other than pissing someone off you don't gain anything from being in one. You do isolate yourself by camping and it only takes 1 player with the "blue hell" knowledge to knock you out of any given spot on the map. If Friendly Fire is ON, a player can fly into blue hell and easily kill a player taking refuge in Bahama Mama's or the Maisonette or the subway from under there. If it were cheating the glitches would have been patched by the game manufacturer in an update. Glitches are part of the game and I reserve the right to hide in one from any PS3 rug rat player that is being a douche bag. FF off serves its purpose in many different ways im sure i dont have to list. lol @ if i cant kill you conventionally then i should just leave/quit the game. thats a lame elitist attitude, the weed you smoke must not be sensimilia. free mode is about having fun and exploring with no specific game type. it sounds like you want deathmatches. if so then select DM.
