XePoZuRe v16
Hi guys, I have been trying to install Eircom's 2247 Netopia Broadband on my computer via wired, but I have not had any luck. We've had it since 2008, and I had to reinstall the OS. So it did come with an install disk, but that is the problem right there. I go to My Computer, then click on Drive E, which the eircom disk is in. Then the installation disk starts, I click next. Then there is three options: 1. Install Gateway and Adapters 2. Run WEP Key Generator 3. Help and Further Information I click on No. 1. Then I click on Install or Uninstall a 3342 USB Gateway. Then it says some sort of agreement. I click Accept. Then I click Next. Then I click Check. Then Next. Then Check. Then Next. Then Next. Now there's a screen saying Please insert or connect your adapter now. And it gets stuck on that. The disk isn't scratched. Please help!
Wolf68k
Stupid question: What exactly is Eircom's 2247 Netopia Broadband? Is the a modem, router, wireless card, what? It sounds like a modem or router but I just want to be sure. Let's assume for a moment that is a modem or router, the part that you said "USB Gateway" makes it sound like you're connecting to via USB. If it's at all possible you really should be using ethernet, you'll get better results in more ways than one...no drivers/software needed for one thing. As to the problem as is there are 2 things I would try to do. First is to check the maker's website to see if they have the drivers/software there, it should be up-to-date if they do. If you can't find it there then go back to the disc and try copying the files from the disc to a folder on your HDD, it doesn't matter were you put it; desktop, my documents, just about anything should work. Then, assuming all of the files get copied off correctly, try running the installer again.
