Official General
No offense, but wow. some people are just getting way out of hand with activities/minigames. I understand they can be fun, but GTA is about simulating the life of a criminal, not the average day in the life of some random pedestrian. Criminal-relevant minigames are welcomed, but rock climbing? Volleyball? C'mon. If you wanna do that stuff, buy a Wii. I agree with this for most part. I don't wanna see hunting in GTA V either, I just don't think hunting is suited to this kind of game. In Red Dead Redemption it was perfect as it was set in a era where it was very common, but hunting just does not have no place in a modern crime action game like GTA. As much as I loved the huge, vastness of the San Andreas map, I too felt that a lot of it went to waste. There was much more they could have done with it. Definitely one thing people seem to forget is the fact that a LOT of their ideas just wouldn't fit into what the GTA games are meant to be. Hunting and skinning worked in RDR because RDR was based in a time where that was very common. Running out of gas worked in Mafia II because they where trying to go more towards simulation. you can name hundreds and thousands of things you want in GTA, but I guarantee 70% wouldn't fit. Although I do see where you are coming from, In my honest opinion the more side activities they put in the game the better, regardless of what they are. When I complete the story line I want to be able to play this game for hours on end and just have fun. Be it hunting, some kind of sport or just flying a f*cking kite. If you don't want to go hunting, then don't f*cking do it. If you don't want to play bowling, then don't f*cking do it. Simple as that, just because they put it in the game doesn't mean YOU have to do it.

I agree with you on the fun part. I would like to see some fun stuff, like dune buggy and dirtbike racing in the desert, jet-skiing along the coastal waters, some kind of Fast N Furious super car illegal racing, basketball games for money in the ghetto courts, and many more. Yeah don't worry, the stab wasn't directed at you, or anyone for that matter it was just an example. Don't wish for certain features to not be added just because you personally wouldn't use them, because I'm sure there are other people that would. All I'm saying is if there is something in a game that isn't related to the main storyline which you don't like, you aren't being forced to partake in the activity. Just ignore it, or heck even give it a shot you might actually enjoy it.
fastdriver
after you have flipped your car and destroyed it, hitch-hiking to get back to town would be cool.
Nah Tso Gud
after you have flipped your car and destroyed it, hitch-hiking to get back to town would be cool. Haha, thats actually a pretty cool idea... then they could treat it like they did in RDR with the campfires sortve.. you could sit and listen to a story or whatever from the driver, skip it... or maybe even pop them in the dome as youre driving being able to witness it from an in car cam would be cool. Well, until we get new info from Rockstar, we are going to keep thinking up minigames until we have transformed GTAV into Donald Duck's Big Adventure or something I like all the suggestions for vehicle-related minigames, like off-road, dirt bikes, monster trucks, cargo delivery across the map, etc. I think there was a truck delivery minigame in GTA-SA? I really liked seeing the wildlife frolicking about in RDR, and I hope they transport some of that over to GTAV to make the countryside more alive and interesting. I don't think the wildlife density needs to be so high as RDR, and I don't think there should be any minigame for profiting from or racking up points for killing wildlife, not even a statistic on the game stats tab in the game. If you don't want to go hunting, then don't f*cking do it. If you don't want to play bowling, then don't f*cking do it. Simple as that, just because they put it in the game doesn't mean YOU have to do it. I am selfish; I don't want Rockstar to spend any development cycles or megabytes on any minigames except the ones that I like
