Slamman
First off, Was watching Wii Bowling this evening, it's a tad better then Rockstar's idea of bowling in GTA IV, and I'm purely referring to it visually. What are your thoughts on bowling coming into play in GTA V As well, what are your thoughts ? What are the chances of more bowling, if not similar activities? Be objective now, not just saying Hell No, or Hell, yeah! The other part of the question is related to Niko and Roman, what extent will family or Extended family play in the course of the plot? We don't know much of this so far, but again, we are sure to draw more conclusions as Rockstar get about releasing some needed details, I'm sure that's only months away. HydraulicWaRiOr
Pretty sure this can be directed to the wishlist or another activity topic, this is pointless, just one activity. [Cara Mia]
Slamman
just one as a Wishlist item? Hardly. bowling is a key joke amongst fans of Niko and Roman, as well as the main activity people think of, I'm also asking about how the two cousins might figure into the family dynamic we see play out in GTA V. Just some ideas For Wii comparison, do you feel Rockstar should be taking some pointers from games like that? http://www.youtube.com/results?search_quer...1932l3.6.3l13l0 Edited February 11, 2012 by Slamman
Jeeebuuus
Going to ride the rollercoaster on the beach. Bumper cars would be cool. Bungie jumping would be the sh*t.
GTAFan20
No, goddamnit. How many times I have to say: I don't want to go f*cking bowling. So what part of that didn't you understand cousin? The I the don't the want the to the go the f*cking or the bowling?
Slamman
Well, I really didn't take the girlfriends on dates (did take them to eat, but the drinking dates involve euphoria imposed drunk effects, I dunno) , and I much prefer the bowling minigame to dancing of GTA's past. GTAFan20
Bowling would be ok, if it wouldn't take much space. Or being called by your ''cousin'' is just NOT ok.

Lucky Sevens
The bowling in playstation home was fun. About the only part of it that was. If bowling in GTA was done like that, it would be cool. They could even open up the bowling alleys in multiplayer free mode, and other activities such as poker, darts, pool etc. P.S. (I don't mean with the dancing and bubble machines, I mean the actual mechanics of it).
Slamman
I do believe the activities, even some TYPE of dating will return, it's part of the relating to other characters and NPCs in general

I agree. Things like bowling and pool shouldn't be forced on you, they should be optional. Friends calling up wanting to do sh*t all the time, got rather boring, rather quick. Roman was a pain the f*cking arse!
bread
Bowling with Michelle is cool, but Roman is so f*cking annoying. GTA V should have a vehicle ejecting future. One click of a button and your annoying cousin is lying on the street battered and bruised.

You could always punt your phone in Sleep Mode. or choose to NOT answer the phone.. And to be honest it wasnt that boring, it was kinda fun! i enjoyed bowling in GTA IV.. It was miles better than the dancing mini game in III era GTA! So i would love it if bowling is back in GTA V

Its was miles better than any game in that time. I still enjoy it till today.. And even though it was released 2008 its still better than every other sandbox/open world game (Saints Row 2,3 ، Far Cry 2 ، Just Cause 2).. I dont get why people hated it!! To be honest.. Its the second best GTA to date (maybe even a tie with San Andreas). in terms of the Story: GTA IV was the best (even better than Vice City). In terms of gameplay mechanics: GTA IV was also the Best. in terms of features and the map size: GTA IV is a 2nd in this manner (GTA: San Andreas is a 1st) Edited February 11, 2012 by Gtaghost22

The bowling, billards, dates were not madatory, they were side missions. If you don't like them then don't do them. They are supposed to add to character relationship development that adds to the overall story as the game progresses.

It doesn't take long to get a date out of the way and then continue on with the violent missions. If a buddy calls you to go on an activity just decline. This is not hard and doesn't require much thought, Hydra.
locolow2011
I think i'd rather have more "exciting" activities like skydiving or something. One of the reasons i play GTA is to do what i can't do in real life(Go on rampages, drive as fast as possible etc.) Although i would love to have some golf, but real golf not that sh*t on TBOGT. [Cara Mia] The hell are you talking about pessimism? I asked you a simple question. R* really took a step forward and re-invented itself with GTA IV. It kept the core concepts of the series and added more realism which is great. If you want a game where you constantly rob banks then here you go: http://m.next-gen.biz/news/codemasters-terminates-heist Notice how the game was cancelled. If anything you sound like a pessimist. I meant as in everything Zee mentioned plus some of the other normal side activities, like maybe you could call a friend or two to do the bank robbery with you as well as having a drink.
