radar201
Tried running the latest of Icenhancer 2.0 unfortunately I'm getting low frame rates (9 FPS) using the low end pc (the mid end PC folder was not successful for me due to the textures were corrupt. Ex: As soon as the games starts, textures are missing like my car was on top of water instead of the road, in addition too objects look like they were floating. Then I tried editing the the definedephoffield by inputting the // in front of the dept of field, well that gave me 12-15 frame rates but i know that is low for this game. Should I give it up or could I play using the older versions of icenhancer, ex. 1.35 or 1.3. I know i'm limited due to its a laptop but is there hope? Here are my specs GTA 4 1040 (Drive2Drive download) not steam version Toshiba Satellite A505 Laptop specs: intel duo core cpu [email protected] 6.00 GB Ram VG: Nvidia GeForce 230m Edited February 11, 2012 by radar201

Perhaps changing the settings would be good.
NaidRaida
Your machine is too weak. It would be even too weak for a stock GTA IV which recommends a Quadcore in the readme. Using a Dualcore is minimum for stock GTA IV, not to mention ENB. And for icenhancer it´s better to use older patches like 1.0.4.0. Of course by using such mods you´ll need even more power. I don´t see much hope for you even not when using older icenhancer stuff. GTA 4 1070 >>> Better use 1.0.4.0 for ENB related stuff or use settings developed for new patches Toshiba Satellite A505 Laptop intel duo core cpu [email protected] >>> No! This game requires more. 6.00 GB Ram >>> OK! GTA IV is not depending on RAM so much, I have only 3.5., VRAM is more important, using very high settings + ENB/ice you´ll need up to 2GB VRAM. VG: Nvidia GeForce 230m >>> Notebook video cards are not reccommended for GTA IV, they cannot compare to big desktop cards with a strong cooling. Notebooks are not a good choice when it comes to GTA IV. There has been reported much much trouble, especially with M cards but you may have luck. NaidRaida
Nevertheless, I suppose the performance of your system will be worse.
