    • No rockstar is capable, they might even surpass rockstar sandiegos country side from RDR

I think the question you were thinking of was:

Are they capable of making the countryside as good as RDR's in GTA V? No. In Red Dead, there were barely any buildings, only small settlements, hardly the amount of buildings and street, and "City life" that V will undoubtedly have. Don't get me wrong, it will look good, but nothing like RDR's.

Have you played RDR? It has mountains too but damn the one in the Trailer puts every RDR mountain to shame.

They're fully capable, but they SHOULD get outside help. It would be ignorant not to.

 

Suggestions from the fans would really help them achieve their goals to satisfy their consumers.

 

I really love all their games. They could release a game of pong on the RAGE engine and I'd still love it. Oh wait...they did. It was called Table Tennis. I really DID love it!

LOLWAT? You expected to see Times-Square-like crowds in the fields, forests, mountains?

It's a 2004 game without animals. Countryside like that was already an achievement.

Well he's right. It was dead. Besides have you ever played The Elders Scrolls III: Morrowmind? It came out in 2002 and had a FAR more impressive environment with wild life included.

 

I guess this is one of the reasons I find SA a bit overrated. People simply refuse to accept it's not perfect. The countryside was a good attempt, but could've been so much better. Maybe instead of cramming the game with so many features they could've made the countryside A LOT more interesting.

 

Anyway yes I think R* North are more than capable of creating an interesting countryside like San Diego done with RDR.

They'll set a date when they're more sure of how long it will take to polish the game. I'd rather them keep quiet about the release date rather than them delay the release date or release it too early.

Why do people care about the release date? It's a bunch of numbers. It's not interesting.

They may be able to, but I think it's unrealistic for us to expect the countryside in GTA V to be as detailed and as good as the countryside in RDR. After all, the countryside and what was in it played a large part in RDR. It may play a part in GTA V, however this is the modern day, so the urban city is going to be a lot more important to the game, as it always is.

I'm just done roaming the wilderness in RDR.

 

If they can do as good, added with a good size city we're in for a hell of a game!!

 

The countryside in RDR is alive, theres a scortching desert area, woodland and swamp areas, hills and mountains with snow and deep forest, it captures these different terrains and seperates them brilliantly, with the right animals in the right places..

 

If GTA has 1/2 the size of countryside plus a great city and story it'll be the best game ever made

I'm already convinced via GTA 5's trailer that it won't be on par graphically, but no matter, really. Will there be a level of birds or dogs, as we can expect? I hope so, the sky patterns, cycles, day to night, and the HDR lighting is key in evolving the game worlds

I personally think what we have seen looks great

No they won't there help why because all of the Rockstar sites have teams of people that are dedicated to making the best game possible and to make there fans happy so no I don't think they'll need Rockstar SD help.

I think they could make countryside as good or better than R*SD without their help, however, it makes no sense to not use any help from other T2/R* studios in order to keep costs and time investment as low as possible.

Talk about Deja vu... Basically covered in comparison thread of GTA and Red Dead Redemption. No doubt you will see Aaron Garbut's name leading the artists, but I plan on comparing the credits to see who has been working the longest on the series, since playing some Vice City today, it's just soooooooo obvious how much improvement there is since GTA3/VC
