GtaVComments
As was expected, it was today announced that GtaV will feature Screen Graphic Technology. We've seen this used before (Those of you who have/had L.A Noire) and it worked great. I for one am happy that this at least is confirmed to be one thing, be it small, or however you see it, which R* have update from GtaIV If you want to see more, look at the home page of "www.iGta5.com" . P.S I dont represent that site or anything, just came across it whilst looking for new info.

Ye, that site only has official info in that section its located, you"ll find it on other sites to. Theres no huge release on it because as you would expect, its minor detail. That means we'll be expecting three-five discs for Xbox 360. This would explain why it's taking so damn long. There's evidence that this might have been implemented in the trailer; Ned Luke character's close-up comes to mind. Still; without confirmation from R*, it's hard to believe or confirm. I understand its hard to believe, sorry for the way i phrased the topic. I didnt mean confirmation, i meant it was apparentely stated on numerous websites linked with R*. In anyway way however, this is something much more possible than any other BS , why would they go back to no motion capture technology? Any for the guy who called me a prat, cop the f*ck on you idiot, you clearly dont know what it is, if you think it was used in GTAIII
Mister Pink
You mean motion capture technology? Well, most games use that but I'm assuming you mean the sort of tech pioneered by Bondi Beach. RUBBΣR░J♢HNNY (スオッ)

Ye motion capture, i just phrased as it was from the site, but ye thats what it is. I see. It will be interesting if they do but I wont miss it if they don't. So long as the body movements look realistic, I'm happy. I don't really car for facial expressions as much. At least if I'm not trying to tell if someone is lying. GTAVIViceCity
Really, I know it hasn't been confirmed but I really don't want to switch disc between missions. I would however would like a separate disc for Multiplayer.

I would however would like a separate disc for Multiplayer. I'm 95% sure SP will be the only time disc switching and other annoyances will come up; for MP, it should be smooth sailing. I don't think R* would make a standalone disc just for MP. That would be awesome if they did however. Could someone with more tech exp, help me out here? What would be the purpose of them using facial expressions with motion scan? Id imagine the only reason theyd want to use it is for realism as they call it, but who knows. For those of you who say im lying. How am i? All i said was there was new news about this Screen Graphic Tech (Motion Capture) . I didnt make it up like most of the idiots who say theyve got new news, i even gave you a website for reference, dont judge until you see it. Thanks to you people who actually have some sympathy for this btw. And dont blame me, blame the site that gives it if you think it wrong, which , idk why you would, its being used a lot know in games, even by R*. GRINCH ASS BITCH
Can someone show me where that website (www.iGta5.com) confirms or even vaguely hints at the confirmation of Motion-Scan Technology? All I see is some article titled "GTA 5 To Feature Revolutionary 'Speech Graphics'?" and within that article there is no mention of actual confirmation. The amount of "confirmed" bullshit that some of these people post is astounding. EDIT: Never mind, I see that it is just another batch of speculative bullshit. Good job OP. PowerKracker
I sincerely doubt it. The people we've seen in the trailer don't look like 3D models with real photographed faces posted onto them.
AnotherDave
Going by what we've seen GTA V definitely isn't using MotionScan. There's also a whole backstory with licensing and the fractured relationship between R* and Brendan McNamara, who's part owner of Depth Analysis, who in turn own the MotionScan tech. Motion capture isn't the same thing as MotionScan. V will, of course, use motion capture.
Obese_Tony
To be honest, it doesn't look all that great. It's basically a less data-intensive version of the motion-capturing technology used by Team Bondi. So while it does look a little bit better it doesn't require the game to ship with 3 CD's. Also, I guess the following is the 'confirmation' the OP is talking about. Speech Graphics' lip sync system has not yet been used in any released games, but a motion capture studio and a triple-A developer have already integrated it into their production pipeline Who knows, it sounds plausible. Inusan
More L&P. Until Rockstar has officially stated that V will use this "Screen Graphic Technology" this is purely speculation and is not counted as real info.
Forzum
Speechgraphics is following Chris Oat (Lead Graphic Designer at Rockstargames) and Rockstar Games at twitter. Tho this might not mean anything, since he follows few other game releated twitter accounts such as Ubisoft, Lionhead Stuidos. Would be great to see this in V tho. CorneliusCoffin
I'll treat this as a rumor, but I think that Speech Graphics Technology would be an excellent choice for GTA V. Judging from the short video clip, this looks way better than Motion Scan. And they haven't even animated the eye regions/forehead yet. I mean, you can even see that the larynge and the vocal cords move, when somebody speaks. I just hope they don't use Motion Scan again. Most of the time that looked just bizarre. AirWolf856
And R* is having casting calls for dick flapping motion capture. They want to make sure they don't have a limp performance like they did in GTA IV The Lost & Damned.
