Andr3wGee
GTA 4 is laggy(and just awful at night) on my EVGA GTX560 TI superclocked/Intel i5 2500K Which is strange since i can play Battlefield 3 single and multiplayer flawlessly maxed out with very slight multiplayer lag during intense events(like hella lot of explosions and stuff) I have everything maxed out with stock graphics(no texture/enviroment mods) (I also get an error when i increase the view distance that i have exceeded my systems limits, which is BS as i have seen people playing this maxed out with some sort of "realistic texture/enviroment mod") Specs EVGA GTX 560 TI superclocked Intel i5 2500K 650 watt PSU 8GB Ram Everything is stock(i don't know anything about overclocking) Edited February 10, 2012 by Andr3wGee
Exxon
Lower the graphics quite a bit, especially the sliders. The difference between 100 View/Detail Distance and 40 is barely visible anyway Also, lower the Shadow Quality to High or even Medium, they affect your performance quite a bit. And you should lower the Shadow Density/Night Shadows to 0/Off, they affect performance hugely and they are quite ugly anyway. By the way, you can't just say 'I can max out BF 3 so I should be able to do the same with IV!' It just doesn't work that way, IV is poorly coded and there's nothing you can do about it besides using patch 1.0.4.0 or commandline. mkey82
In addition to what Exxon said, I just don't know what gave you the impression you should be able to play this game maxed out.

Because his rig is so über that it's like a PC that NASA has No seriously, I think because of the fact he has 2500k + GTX 560 Ti, plus the fact that he doesn't know how demanding this game sadly is

shvcnear
I've got the same specs more or less... I can max the game. With an average FPS above 50. You guys are smoking some serious rocks if you think the 560ti couldn't possibly max this game.
mkey82
I have seen people max it on celerons and integrated cards, nothing surprises me, really.
