Isuck100%
It obviously wasn't going to be on next gen consoles. You could easily tell by the graphics that it was a current gen game. So now we know it will be on the PS3 and Xbox 360; any other platforms is the question.
Isuck100%
My guess is... Xbox will need atleast 2 discs. Why would it take up more than one disc? Skyrim has a huge open world with tons more content than any GTA game and it fits in 3.8 GB of space (less than half the capacity of the DVD). L.A. Noire took up 3 discs because of the MotionScan facial animation technology, which the next GTA title will not be using. GTA V will all but likely be on one disc, just like GTA IV and RDR. Dystopia
Media type:Blu-ray Disc Holy s... What about Xbox, 5 disc's ? Playstation's disk format is Blu-ray. Why the hell does that means GTA V on 360 is going to be over 5 disks. They have managed for the past however many years with cross platform games. StickyWickett
What's with these numbskulls saying it's not confirmed? It's on the official PS website dammit they're not gonna lie.
Mister Pink
A little off topic.. Is there a 360 syle controller for the PS3? I'm thinking about getting a PS3 anyway. If the game is exclusive for PS3, I don't mind. If Rockstar thinks the game will run better on that hardware, great. If they can get more out of Blu-Ray...great. I did think it was getting a release on all platforms though. As for GTA belonging to one platform...that's bullsh*t. GTA is a game that Rockstar choose for the best current available platform at the time. Put yourselves in their shoes. Inusan
We all know that V will be released on the PS3 console regardless whether the official PlayStation site says so or not.

I'd hate to go back to the Vice City days of loading whenever traveling over a bridge! You would have that whether you play on the PS3 or the Xbox 360, because both have just about 500MB of RAM. Except for audio etc, games don't play straight off the discs, they load into the RAM first, and the CPU/GPU accesses the information from there. It doesn't matter if the discs can hold 25GB, 50GB or 10GB when only 500MB can be loaded at a time. I don't know what amount of RAM GTA V is going to eat up, but if it's as detailed as IV I bet it's going to be a lot. So even if PS3 owners wouldn't have to change discs when traveling between places like the X360 owners would, they would still have to wait for the game to load. Turbojohn
Its OBVIOUS that it's going to be on PS3, I mean, DUH, are you f*cking cpt obvious or something? there are more probabilities of being on PS3 then on PC Because Rockstar likes to f*ck PC gamers
Slamman
Comes as no surprise. I was streaming via WMP, some sneak previews for Mass Effect 3, it's shown without question to release on Xbox, PS3 and PC, and it's no stretch to expect a RAGE based GTA to do the same http://content.usatoday.com/communities/ga...mass-effect-3/

Wubbzy
GTA will always be for PlayStation it was made originally for PlayStation and R* released more GTAs for it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Theft_A...series%29#Games Actually my child, it was originally made for PC! But it was more popular on PS2!! Anyway.. I think we cant actually say its '' confirmed '' but we have a 99% chance that GTA V is releasing on PS3 No, the original GTA games were released on PC prior to consoles and were more popular on PC. I suppose you were about 3 years old when Grand Theft Auto came out so you're excused.
Ex Hellraiser
What about Wii U? That is a possibility. It hasn't been spoken of much, but it hasn't been disproven. If the Wii U is a decent upgrade from the Wii, I don't see why not... But I don't like Wii, so it won't make me lose a second of sleep if it doesn't happen. Just speaking neutrally and realistically. TenEightyOne
Quite weird... It says "no network play" however in the description given (the same as the announcement) it mentions online multiplayer. I don't think GTAIV had network play either, did it? It DID have online play though (obviously )

MrcTOtheJ
Um, I thought it was a given that this was coming to the PS3, and also the PC, and 360. People it's common sense it's gonna come to all three major platforms. Anyhow I guess it's nice to have a "Confirmation" I use that word loosely in this case, but it's a whole hell of allot more solid than other info we've gotten in the past months. Hopefully this will quite down some of the people playing the next gen card.
