Triple Vacuum Seal
I have been watching the share prices of TTWO for a while now and have been cashing in slightly for the past couple of weeks. I was wondering if the combination of "pathetically low" TTWO share prices prior to the trailer release (buyer friendly prices since TTWO isn't going anyway in the near future) combined with several titles to come this fiscal year make a decent investment environment in the short term (1-3 years of holding). After all, the shares did jump from $10.80 a share in Aug. 2011 to around $16.24 a share as of now (Feb. 9, 2012) w/o a new trailer or info. They also jumped slightly when Strauss Zelnick assured GTAV was making good "progress" a few days ago. Is this a good opportunity to cash in on TTWO? I do think that the delay culture of R* could hurt TTWO in the long term, but doesn't the FY2013 line up inevitably show a potential for rise in share value in the short term (next couple of years at least) because TTWO seems bound to be cash strapped in the next 30 months from sales figures given MP3, GTAV, a growing dominance of NBA 2K12 in the industry as the main NBA game, and other games. Why wouldn't GTAV release push TTWO to at least $19.00+ per share? *GTA releases historically turn promising results for TTWO shares "shut up, sit down, relax"

Triple Vacuum Seal
Best time to buy, before November of last year (trailer 1). Best time to sell, 5 months after GTAV is released. Partially true. Several months after a major GTA release, the general public (non-GTA fans) will get curious as to who is behind such popular games. Not to mention the post-release press the game will get if it breaks any sales records (such as Guinness World Records, "Look back at year 2012" specials in the media in late Dec., and several culture references) as it is projected too. The stock may be worth holding a lot longer than mid-2013. @LotusRIP I found that TD Ameritrade is one of the easiest free ways for me purchasing shares. That's where I purchased TTWO shares. Really need a dummy's guide to buying TTWO shares... and I'm in Australia if that changes anything.

This forum is one of the best sources for info on GTA, but that is only a portion of TTWO's cash flow. However, GTA5 will be too big of a factor in TTWO's share value to ignore in the coming months. SGT. Johnson
If you people are referring to the stock market, it's all a bunch of smoke and mirros. You are being fooled into investing your money which will most likely be lost when the stock market goes down (like always). Sure; it goes up every now and then to "entertain the masses" but it's all a bunch of preranged BS. Don't give into stocks unless you want to easily lose your precious money through the godawful circulation of said money through banks, investments, real estate, stocks, etc, etc. Did South Park teach you people anything? Look what happened to Stan Marsh! Heed my warning or end up like though.
RED_
It was the best time to buy when the countdown to the first trailer began. It is not the time to sell though. This is a long term thing which should only be sold after the game is released and been on sale for a few months. Should rake in a good bit of money. Worth doing for MP3 too. Definitely something i need to look into. I've been needing to get into the share market for a while now since my dad already does it. I would always play it safe though. As in spend a fair bit paying for shares that cost a bit more but you know will increase. Like these. You just know they are going to go up. All you have to do is play the waiting game. I'm in it for the long term so if i have to hold onto shares for a few years before making a profit then so be it. Any gain is a gain to me, don't want to be greedy and look for a quick profit and end up making a mistake and buying at the wrong time. In this case its quite a safe bet provided you hang onto the shares. Of course you will only make money if you buy a lot of shares, and that won't be cheap, so for the next year or two you will be down.

Yeah your're right, giving money to TTWO for GTAV is a far better idea than investing it into the company to benefit from its release. Besides no one makes money investing in the stock market, Warren Buffett got rich from..... Keep getting investment advice from South Park;Tommy Vercetti will have nothing on you...Of course he won't have anything on you because he too was foolish enough to invest. I respect your hesitation before investing as it is a very good investment instinct, but no one here is suggesting that we dump our life savings in TTWO. It is just worth discussing/consideration whether or not to invest in TTWO given that GTAV will be a game changer. I have invested approximately $200 and it has made this forum a very interesting one to read as people here are very aware of what R* is doing and FY2013 for TTWO will be very reflective of what R* puts out. I mean it always been huge but now is filed with saturated fat..... Yes, it put a little bit of confidence in the share holders who too have been asking "where the hell is GTA?" I have hedged against my hunger for new info. by planning to invest slightly more if the info. drought continues till MP3 or E3(which is absurd and hopefully doesn't happen) since the lack of info drives the shares down slightly. This makes the wait for info. a bit more bearable too since I get one or the other; more info or more profit potential. @SGT. Johnson TTWO>R*>R*North>GTA Series......TTWO sees competitive gains when a major GTA title releases. Has been that way for years. You won't get rich, but you will certainly secure gains; which is an accomplishment.
