III Era Protagonist Remake

I'm having an idea on remaking every III era protagonist into my own style.

But wait, this is not just an idea. I've already made some

==================================================================================

Model i've shown below are supposed NOT to look exactly like what rockstar did. It almost impossible to make it looks the same.

So, if you want it exactly the same, use original GTA III era protagonist model, or made it yourself.

- Head

- Fixing some textures

It's from my HD CJ, but i didn't like his head, because it looks so unnatural, so i'll redone it. Thanks for scarface2k_gtasa for the help on his texture.

Based on GTA III 10 Anniversary Claude Action Figure, but since it doesn't look like it so much, i tweaked it myself. Texture taken from GTA IV , slightly edited by me. There's still much to be fixed.

Mike from GTA Advance is now available in 3d form. Because there are only a few of mike's pictures i could use as reference, so i modeled him based on one of my favorite actor, Michael Fassbender, and tweaked it after that to match with Mike's artwork. Textures from IV, edited by me.

Modeled based on Ray Liotta, then tweaked it to match with original head shape, but maintain his realistic looking. King Shady helped me on his body texture, and it looks awesome.

Remember! things will progressed slowly.

Don't expect me to work on it every day.

PM me if you want to help me working on it ( textures, ideas or other thing)

Thanks.

Mike!

Oh, and nice job.

Thanks.

Mike from GTA Advance would be hard to make, but let's see what going to happen sly.gif .

Tommy are the top priority after these model are done.

I have a Mike Head model. I made it in 2010 year, but it's not finished and lips is ugly.. It was made for GTA Advance ReMake.

You may download it:

P.S. .max file has wrong name. xD

@solom :

I'll try to make my own style, but thanks for sharing colgate.gif

@minnie :

Well, if you talking about his clothes, i'll try to add wrinkles on it.

If you're talking 'bout his head, it was supposed to look blocky.

Tanner meets Claude!

Awesome.

@quantum & wahgah:

Thanks. I'll finish other protagonist model first before start rigging it.

It's the best i can do, to make a smooth model without using too much poly.

@Silent:

Ha tounge.gif. Thanks.

Claude is much bad ass than Tanner IMO.

Anyway, shoes model are done. Working on the textures tomorrow.

I think Driv3r Tanner was almost as badass as Claude.

Cool icon14.gif when you work on textures try to edit his face texture so you can make him look younger, imo he looks like 40 atm with the 2 chubbs at bottom of either side of his lips, the bags below his eyes, etc

Edited by ManDog

50? He actually looks older than "original" Claude, but not like he's 50.

It was a typo tounge.gif i ment to say 40

@silent:

Yep. He's kinda badass in 3. But if you have played Driver San Fransisco, where Tanner just found out about his power, and freak out about it, he looks like an idiot. confused.gif

@mandog:

I prefer it that way, looks more mature than original. sly.gif

@gtaguy:

Thanks. And yes, maybe.

Update:

i would suggest just to remodel the "crowded" places. it would look pretty much same, but would be waaaay more efficient, i beleive, you can reduce the polycount by 50-60%.

Also, would be fun if you could release atleast a little more yellow skin as a seperate download, would apreciate that

Thank you for your suggestion vvheris. icon14.gif

I have tried to reduce polys on his ears before, looks way too f*cked up confused.gif . But i'll give it a try again. Practices makes perfect. Reason why i'm not adding another hair planes because i think the characteristic of Claude's hair is only on his front hair.

But yeah, if i'm after realistic looking of him, i'll add more of that. smile.gif

@Hustla_XV:

oh, thanks.

@badboy:

I'm always practicing new stuff, that's why i get better, i think.

@yurban

We'll see about that.

Edited by 69_black_69

well, the hair planes could make it look a little more like hair, less like a plastic or i dont even know what smile.gif , you dont actually need them to stand out as much as the front hair smile.gif also, you could render ambient occlusion of detailed mesh parts such as ears and take it to lower polygon mesh texture, should look pretty much same smile.gif

Edited by LT_vVheris

@vvheris:

Need a bump maps too to make it look exactly same, and about his hair, agreed, i'll make that.

Update:

Well because i got a problem on making Tommy's head, and only triple penetration that suggested what protagonist should be made then

Early head model of Mike (GTA Advance)

user posted image

That what i think how he looks in real life. Added beard to increased his coolness. I want a beard myself sad.gif

You would not believe what ambient occlusion can do, you can render details to low poly mesh, and it will look pseudo 3d even without bump/normal maps. Ofcourse effect is not the same, but it would do the job...

Also, nice Mike model

Yep, i know it. Already using it on my Ramona Flowers model (the one i posted on Character PPC).

And thanks. Created based on Michael Fassbender, tweaked it to look like in GTA Advance Artwork. smile.gif
