Info release compilation

Hey all, first off, I apologize if this has been performed. The search function didn't turn up anything.

Now then, what I want us to do here is figure out the timeline of info release for all the other GTA's to give us a better idea of when to expect something for GTA V. At the very least I figure we can find out what the maximum wait time has been between info, and use that so we know the latest info should come.

I've tried a few times myself to gather this information, but to no avail, so I hope this gathering of surprisingly good detectives can get it all down so we can make a chart or something and maybe even get it pinned so people can use it as reference.

I again apologize if anyone feels this to be useless and/or spam.

Given the quiet past few weeks and lack of new GTA V information, we decided to go back through the time frames of past GTA game releases, and tried to find out patterns and predictions for when we should expect trailers and when GTA V will be released. Here are our findings and predictions:

[stuff]

These predictions will be added to our release date page. We expect new information about GTA V to be released within the next few days/weeks, so check back regularly.

Wasn't expecting that... Nicely done! cookie.gif

I'm not very good with the functions of this text, so do you think you could get the info releases complied in a neat little chart or something? I've seen it done before with other things, I think it'd be nice to have.

I didn't really make that list. Was posted a few days back in some other topic so thought I would share it with you.

I will see what I can do.

A chart?

Don't you think you're asking a bit too much? The guy found exactly what you were looking for, and it's not like the graph is gonna make any big difference. Rockstar don't play predictable, expect the unexpected.

That's exports, Zee. They were shipping the whiskey out of the country instead of drinking it themselves. You know, that little running gag of yours is really starting to get old. You'd better find some new material, or people will just stop paying attention to you, like The Simpsons or Guitar Hero.

On topic: I don't know how much you can predict about GTA V's marketing based on that of previous GTAs. For example, IV was announced by Microsoft at E3, while V was announced by Rockstar themselves on no special occasion, and IV's first trailer came out almost nine months after the announcement, while V's came out a week afterwards.

Plus, Rockstar delays their games like nobody's business: IV was supposed to be released less than seven months after the date of the first trailer, before being delayed by half a year.

I have new information.

the main protaganist will be able to POOP. This is the ground breaking thing R* is hiding. As you are driving around, doing missions, shooting up people, you may suddenly have to poop. If you dont poop in time you will poop your pants and lose respect from the higher up's you work for. Pooping your pants automatically decreases all sex appeal and you can no longer go on a date. You will have to change clothes. If you poop your pants on a date you automatically break up with the girl and you will never be able to date her again.

There will be a mission titled "#2" in the game which involves a character asking you to join a food eating contest to eat as many burger shot burgers as possible, to which you have to "train" yourself to not poop yourself. If you poop yourself you fail the mission. To prevent froom pooping yourself you repeatedly push R3 up (not down) to make your bladder push the poop back up. You must do this at ANY/ALL times to prevent from pooping yourself. If your shooting people, if your driving, if your flying a plane, you must do this otherwise you poop your pants.

Dont poop your pants guys.

Sounds like you're the butt-hurt one, following me around in various threads just to show off how mad you are. I suggest you stay on topic and leave the personal attack derailing out of things or risk being banned.

On topic: R* are not predictable in their release dates. Trying to analyze previous releases to see a date wont help, if professional analysts have been wrong about the V release date chances are you will be too.
