Nah don't resize the roads they are perfect, that's how narrow roads are in the mountains. Also I know this is a question which is really hard to answer but when do you think you'll release it? Or what's left to do?

Ohh, It's a long way till final release, I don't want to put your expectations too high.

I just started modelling and mapping on GTAIV so I will probably encount in errors and difficult stuff to do.

If it will be too hard for me I'll still release a "not final" version.

 

Obviously I will also add trees, and I'm expecting to add evergreen trees (it's not a tropical place in my vision) smile.gif

I don't know how to add them (Can someone help me??)

 

The first alpha runs good, there are some collision problems is some strange parts but the roads and the base terrain are working.

I'm currently trying to export the second release (with more stuff, more materials, more subdivided objects and better roads [i resized them just a bit, we'll decide if are good or not]).

i cant find how to export it to 3ds max, looks like the promo version isnt able to do so

 

And for adding trees, i think there is an option in CityScape, but dont know how to use it

Try iCEnhancer.

Ice isn't great tryed it.Again i want the enb series in pics.

That's what I meant with 'Try iCEnhancer'

Cause i'm pretty sure he uses that.

Impossible ICe have that stupid blur DOF and colors don't match this.Most enb's make the game feel dry and colorless un realistic.

Not mine. I still havent reuploaded it. I also should finish the new timecyc. Its far from dry and colorless. It looks great on IV"s LC and SPA Francorchamps. I think it will look good on this map too.

ENB makes it have way better color's and due so, it makes it realistic.

I find that IV has a bit weird color's, it looks somewhat like a realistic cartoon turn.gif

That looks like a cartoon.Very un-realistic.Me and Blaster_nl has same idea's on Enb Series has to be blanced and realistic with loss of color. Furthermore RAGE resources is good because it won't take fps like enb series for users i don't mind but still good idea.

Can't understand everything to be honest, but just keep your finger 15 cm in front of your head and focus your eyes (better yet, 1 eye) on it.

The rest will be vage and blurred, now isn't it? turn.gif

Just to clarify:

I use Icenhancer v0.35 with (If I'm not wrong) PACKETS ICENHANCER CONFIGURATION Update 1-8-2012 SUPA-1337-H4X-AWSUM-LOL-WUT-ALL-UR-ICENHANCER-R-BELONG-TO-US EDITION and the Timecyc from the Photorealistic 8.

It's just taste I guess, and I find that ENB is more realistic than IV, but again that's just taste turn.gif

What's the approx. map size? And length of the roads?

Actually I agree with you guys, ENB is just a mod. It's better to create a good looking map without it.

Not sarcastic sir, just my opinion based on the first BETA I played about the IV:SA long time ago. ENB was pre-installed, things like coronas & stuff mostly changeable only inside the map were set to the ENB (looked like it, i'm not one of you guys tounge.gif)

Problem was when I started to create an ENB for this map, getting a warmer look, more like California, the coronas & some places in the map were definitely not even fitting. ENB can be the cause of that.

 

To me, It's better to create a mod, even peds & stuff, without ENB with only stock RAGE engine to make everything fit the game well, then maybe, people can add any graphic mod they want.

 

But then it's just my opinion. I'm not a map creator at all & this one looks nice anyway ;D

Ok, regarding the Enb Discussion, I really think that if set in the right mode, It really gives Rage a new feeling, spectacular, and I can't wait to try icenhancer 2.0!

Back to the topic,

 

I had to spend 4 days to realise how to place the new export correctly and avoid placement errors.

I started again with 2 objects, I made my tests, and finally I found a way to correctly place them.

So I did the same thing to my map and.. voilà!

 

The map is really funny now, the roads are a bit larger (I could try to still reduce them some points)

and the gameplay through the roads is good (at least for me).

There are still some collision problems in some places, but less then the first alpha.

 

Another thing is that,

I don't know if this map will be playable on every pc,

I Have the config in the signature and can't try it on other PCs!
