Tipper Posted February 2, 2012 Share Posted February 2, 2012 I have nothing against playing as a female character in video games (in fact, I always do it at least once if I can choose in a RPG, to complete the game in every possible way), but in GTA, I think they should stick to male protagonist. The reason is simple, most main characters in action movies set in our universe (so I don't count sci-fi or fantasy) are men, and gangsters usually are men too. I can't remember seeing a good female main character in an action movie. They always tend to make them too badass and it becomes ridiculous. Women in these kinds of movies/games are either the main character's girlfriend or a total psycho killing everybody (like Catalina). So I don't mind playing as a woman in other videogames (I actually like my female Shepard better than any males I've created or seen yet in Mass Effect), but not in GTA, it'd feel out of place.
