Of course! Just fill out an application from the front page. New players are always welcomed to join. Your character will start out as a rookie, so you need to take cues from the more experienced police officers. It's something you can quickly get the hang of and your character will rank up quickly after a few roleplays.

 

 

 

umm, do you guys ever play on the EFLC?. Because the main GTA I play is TBoGT.

I do have TBoGT, and I'd be very interested in playing on the EP with all the additional vehicles and interiors available. We've only played on GTA IV because I assume that's what more people have. Since we are looking to maximize the number of people we have, we'll probably stick with the original until we build up our player base.

I'm aware if a gunman is killing civilians I have the right to shoot him if I can't make a serious arrest, but if he is not hurting or killing anybody, can I shoot him, or do I have to use a different method to apprehend him? Maybe, for instance, talk him out of it or making an arrest?

Mar 31st, 2012

 

- Fire Department personnel responded to a grease fire at Burger Shot. Crews were able to knock down the blaze. Two patrons were injured in the incident.

 

- Police responded to a suspicious activity call in a residential parking area off of Grummer Road. After questioning a man who claimed he cleaning up trash in the area, Rk. Ron Ginsberg arrested Jimmy Klanz for drug possession. Later, the evidence was missing from lockup, so the man was released on misdemeanor loitering charges.

 

- Department personnel were called to backup a South Algonquin narcotics sting when a suspect fled the operation. Cpl. Alex Petrovic and Rk. Ted Johnson responded, pursuing Carlos Kennedy for several blocks before successfully disabling his vehicle. A foot pursuit led to an alley off of Quartz St. where Johnson was able to wound Kennedy and take him into custody.

 

- Rk. Ron Ginsberg and Rk. Ted Johnson responded to a shooting at the Majestic Hotel. A disgruntled guest had killed his wife, then went down to the lobby and began firing at staff and patrons. Held at bay outside of the building, Rk. Johnson attempted to flank the suspect through the rear of the building, but the man escaped. After an ensuring vehicle pursuit, the officers cornered the shooter in a construction site on Columbus Ave where the suspect climbed the crane on-site. Rk. Ginsberg followed the man, but after a failed attempt to call him down, the man leaped to his death.

 

- A man committed suicide in the Franfort Low subway station. Police were on scene and attempted to lure the depressed man off the train tracks, but were unable to before the train arrived. Despite his distraught state, he did indicate there was a potential human trafficking organization operating in Liberty City and is unnamed son was in their custody. The case has been transferred to the Algonquin special victims unit.

 

- Alderney Police pulled the body of Jimmy Klanz out of the West River. The man sustained a gunshot wound. No leads on a possible suspect.

RP events that happened behind the scenes. Unless a character had direct experience, these activities are unknown.

- After responding to a suspicious person call in North Algonquin, Cpl. Alex Petrovic encountered renown drug dealer and criminal informant Jimmy Klanz, who recognized Petrovic from a previous engagement. Klanz indicated he needed help with a drug shipment, but could not relay details before Rk. Ron Ginsberg arrived on scene. Klanz was arrested by Ginsberg for drug possession, but after the evidence went missing, the charge was down graded to loitering.

 

- Police were called to a boat ramp near the Hickey Bridge. Klanz convinced Petrovic to accompany him on a drug transport operation as security. The two men boarded a boat and traveled south down the West River to the Alderney Industrial Port. As they waited for a phantom drug shipment to arrive, Klanz pulled his gun on Petrovic. Clearly upset, Klanz claimed he was forced to turn on the dirty cop. The Maddens had offered him a lot of money to do it. Petrovic tried to negotiate with the distraught dealer, offering to put him into witness protection. Once distracted in thought, Petrovic shot and killed Klanz.

 

Another great night. Welcome to the team cnrdrn. You picked it up like no one else. I love the dynamic between you and AJ. The goodie cop versus the dirty cop. I can't wait to see how Lt. Michaels handles the bickering duo.

Tonight was good, a few things didn't go exactly as I planned, but eh, whatever. The text chatting was really killing the character's I had set up; couldn't get into a role of a thunder-frightened deranged man through text. I tried to get something serious going with the rapist in the apartment building, but I couldn't take the role of a psycho with just words. Plus, when I was on the ledge, I was pushed to my death which is not what I had planned, neither did I have Tyler Madden walking into that barrage of shotgun of bullets. It just wasn't a good night for me as a crook.

 

Still, Clefe you did an excellent job with your scenarios; particularly the drunkard on the bridge looking for his grandmother and the guy with the bud who kept falling into the water. Kudos to Headshot Factory for the realism. I like how he didn't tag along when he wasn't needed on the job, but kept patrolling. Everybody did well except for me.

 

I can't be there next Saturday; I'll be in Minnesota for a few days. Clefe, I know you have your basketball game on Wednesday, but is there any time schedule you have before Thursday free for some roleplay on TBoGT? I'd love to give that a try.

Apr 7th, 2012

 

- Police responded to a drunk and belligerent man on a pedestrian overpass on Union Drive. He was taken into custody and released after four hours.

 

- Rk. Frank Tenpenny was first on scene to a domestic violence incident at 541 Topaz St. He questioned a man, Clarence Tover on the second floor regarding the incident. While talking with the man, Rk. Ted Johnson cleared the man's apartment, finding a female body in the bedroom. Her throat had been slit. Tover resisted arrest and climbed to the roof of the building. As police tried to take him into custody, the man slipped on the edge of the roof and fell to his death.

 

- Lt. Eric Michaels and Rk. Jay Edwards responded to reports of a drunk driver on Quartz St. After attempting to box in his vehicle, the suspect fled around Middle Park and down Topaz St. toward the Humboldt River. The driver, Jackson Mavero, ended up squeezing his car down a stairway and onto the riverwalk, sending pedestrians flying. Both Michaels and Edwards pursued in their vehicles as speeds reached 45 mph. Mavero's vehicle eventually careened into a retaining wall, then was hit from behind my Lt. Michaels. The suspect was removed and arrested without further incident. Because of the extensive damage to Department equipment and the multiple pedestrians injured in the pursuit, this case has been submitted to internal investigations for review.

 

- Police responded to a robbery at a pharmacy on Exeter Ave. Lt. Eric Michaels and Rk. Jay Edwards approached cautiously as the suspect, Yonder Molina had left the shop with 23 vials of oxycodine. Seeing the police presence, Molina hoped on his dirtbike and attempted to escape though the alleys of North Algonquin. Lt. Michaels was able to engage the suspect on Astoria Dr., but was unable to detain him. Molina attempted to drive his motorbike down into Vespucci Circus subway entrance, but was unable to negotiate the turns and was eventually arrested by Rk. Edwards.

 

- Multiple units responded to a robbery and potential hostage situation at the North Algonquin Burger Shot. A gunman unhappy with the service opened fire on customers and staff. Police arrived and surrounded the building. The gunman opened fired on Rk. Ted Johnson, who was securing the southern entrance. Rk. Johnson was wounded. While distracted, Rk. Frank Tenpenny attempted to enter the building from the western entrance, shooting the suspect with his shotgun.

 

- A deranged art critic began shooting patrons in front of the Randolf Art Center, claiming they should die for their poor taste in art. Lt. Eric Michaels and Rk. Jay Edwards responded, approaching the scene from Obsidian St.. They dodged fire from the gunman, who was hiding behind the pillars of the west building. Lt. Michaels attempted to speak with the man, but after another pedestrian was shot, he chased the man out of the court yard and onto Nickel St where Rk. Edwards was wounded. Lt. Michaels pursued the gunman down into a subway entrance, where the suspect attempted to ambush Michaels. Despite being wounded, Michaels was able to subdue the attacked.

Good RP this week. Lots of new folks. I hope you guys had fun with it. You did well, and seemed to understand the flow of the game. Headsets are really needed though. So much of the creativity and action comes through the dialogue. It took about 10 minutes to apprehend that rape suspect or the crazy guy in the train platform trying to use text chat. If you guys can, grab a cheap headset on Amazon. Alaannnn, you are an absolute natural. I hope you play a lot more!

 

Generally when an officer dies in-game, his character dies. Because there was some miscommunication today, we'll consider the officers killed as wounded, allowing them to be used again.

 

I would love to do something on TBoGT. There are a ton of options on that game that we don't have on the original. I'm only free on Thursday nights though. Unless a bunch of folks want to use it for next Saturday's RP, I think we figure out a weeknight roleplay with the expansions down the road.
