Vega LVI
Back in Liberty tonight after a trip down to Vice City. Great to hear that, man. theclefe
Roleplay reportEMS Log Mar 8th, 2012 - Police responded to a suspicious activity on Uranium St. Workers at a local daycare were concerned a suspected child predator was in the courtyard. After questioning, police detained Tony "The Tiger" Madden and charged him with loitering. - Police arrest Harold Aneese at the corner of Frankfort and Pyrite for driving under the influence. - Police responded to a call at Middle Park Boathouse. A deranged political supporter set off several fireworks before resisting arrest. Lt. Harold Wright was first on the scene, and tried to negotiate with the suspect. The belligerent suspect evaded capture, then opened fired on a civilian and police. The shooter was killed by Wright just North of the pond after wounding a second civilian. Later in the day, a second supporter committed suicide on Frankfort Ave. - Sgt. Eric Michaels was seriously wounded during a shootout with a car thief. After a Black Presidente was reported stolen, Michaels spotted the vehicle on Topaz St. After initiating a failed traffic stop, he attempted to disable the suspects vehicle, forcing the car off the road. The man fled on foot, luring Michaels into an alley and opening fire. The chase continued on foot until Michaels was struck by two bullets at the intersection of Ivy North and Vauxite. The suspect was gone when backup arrived on scene. Character DevelopmentPromotionsEric Michaels - Promoted to Sergeant III Alex Petrovic - Promoted to Corporal II Mason McNeil - Promoted to Corporal II Awards Sgt. Eric Michaels is awarded a Liberty City Commendation Medal for his actions on March 8th, 2012. After identifying a stolen vehicle, Michaels pursued the suspect in a vehicle and on foot despite great personal risk. Deaths None Good times. I'm glad to be back. I posted the recap above, which includes promotions from the last two sessions. I was hoping the two non-forum members would signup here, but they didn't so no ranks for them. A couple of notes. Cops should not follow the criminal ops player. Give them space to set up or let them approach you on their own accord. Setting up some scenarios require lining up cars, shooting guns to clear debris or pedestrians, or just doing "illegal" activities sometimes. If you prosecute them during setup then the larger scenario can't be accomplished. The best bet is to wait until dispatch reports a crime. In the meantime, conduct a patrol like a normal cop would. Also, once a criminal is "Booked" at the station, he becomes a different person. I wish we could change clothes/appearance in game, but we can't without exiting. Assume every interaction with a criminal player is new unless a scenario dictates otherwise. See you guys next week! Vega LVI
Thanks for the commendation medal, Clefe. I had a real fun time last night, despite the fact is was just us two. I couldn't stop laughing when I was on the lookout for any suspicious activity at the daycare center. I gagged while laughing when I asked the pedophile to step over by the nearby wall and he replied, "Sure thing, officer. I'll be happy just standin' over by the delicious children.". I fell out of my chair when the pedophile replied to me by saying his name was, "Tony... Tony, the uh, Tiger.". We definitely have to have Tony "The Tiger" Madden make a return in future gatherings, as well as the Romney supporter from Middle Park and the crazed USAS shotgun despiser. See all of you on next Thursday's roleplay.

theclefe
Gearing up for this Thursday, and just wanted to check to see who can make it. Tony Madden wants a heads up on how many people will distract him from his crack counting. The Department is always looking for new members. New players can join at any time and start climbing the ranks. Every week features unique scenarios that new and old members will enjoy. If you're interested, post here, fill out an application or friend me and be online this Thursday!

I'll definitely be there; if you want an actual number: 99.99% with the other 0.01% being unable to attend due to being struck by lightning. Tony Madden will definitely be carefully observed by Sergeant Michaels this Thursday. We don't need any little children being devoured like a bowl of Cheerios. Clefe, quick question: have you ever thought about expanding to another section of Liberty City? Broker and Dukes have a few police stations with abundant neighbourhoods that can be considered patrolling. It's just something to think about. theclefe
Clefe, quick question: have you ever thought about expanding to another section of Liberty City? Broker and Dukes have a few police stations with abundant neighbourhoods that can be considered patrolling. It's just something to think about. I picked North Algonquin because it has all the tools we need close by. It has the best police station. There is a landing pad and numerous cars out front. Also, the fire station in the area always spawns a fire truck and the hospital has roof access for medical evacs. Since this RP is based off of a single department, jumping neighborhoods isn't ideal. If a scenario requires a different setting, I have no problem going to a different island, but it's not necessary in most cases since the area has a little bit of everything. If we are even able to get a substantial crew together, with medical, fire and air support, I could certainly see multiple island scenarios. To all, our roleplays are generally Thursday nights. If you're interested in playing with us but can't make the schedule times, let me know. I'd love to expand to a weekend day. Now that we have some veteran members, I'm open to new dates or times! Vega LVI
To all, our roleplays are generally Thursday nights. If you're interested in playing with us but can't make the schedule times, let me know. I'd love to expand to a weekend day. Now that we have some veteran members, I'm open to new dates or times! This is way too outstanding of an event to only occur once a week. Thursdays aren't the best for me, but I try my best to get on whenever I can. I am 99.99% of the time available on Saturday nights, at about 19.00-EST. Does that sound like a reasonable time frame? I don't give a heck who hosts, as long as I get some LCPD time in.

theclefe
Hey guys. I'm going to reschedule tonight's roleplay. My goal was to pick a night that I could reliably host so that there would be no break in gameplay. Unfortunately, Thursday nights are not ideal for a lot of people. The Department is at it's best when we have multiple people operating in and protecting Liberty City. While we have some very dedicated members, like Stonehead and K-Willis, we need to find a time/date that will help us build this group. My hope is to shift this roleplay to a Saturday, preferably at a time that is favorable for both US and Euro players. I'm open to suggestions from veteran players and new players regarding the time. The more people we can accommodate, the better. Lets push the next Roleplay to Saturday, March 24th while we select a time!
A J
Lets push the next Roleplay to Saturday, March 24th while we select a time! Maybe just maybe, I'll be back by then to give this another shot... I don't take it too seriously though, maybe I should? But I found it a lot of fun to do...try and get those others to join up here and become fully part of it. Also like I said before, maybe try this on a freemode, with just the one or two public slots available.. you never know it could add to the drama.. theclefe
I hate how there are four XBox RPs bouncing around here, but we can't get a decent PS3 concept off the ground. We need to get as many PS3 players that are still around organized! I was actually thinking of scheduling something earlier in the day. I know 16:00 GMT, or 11am EST seemed to work well for both Euro and US Players with the Tag Race last month. It's a time I can make most weeks. K-Willis, if you want to keep doing a weeknight RP then go for it. I'm game for adding more nights if veteran players can run it. I just don't like the last minute "let's play tonight" ones. I have flexibility in my work schedule, but it's something I have to plan for. Welcome to all new members. We're still looking to grow, and as you can see from past comments, it's a lot of fun. I hope you all try to come out this Saturday. Feel free to ask any questions you can think of! I know I'm replying to my own quote here, but is there a way that I can start off in this "Roleplay" as a civilian, then join into the Police Department later on?? This is a police RP. It is scenario based and there really is no place for civilians in the traditional RP sense. Maybe if we can grow, add more players and after you've ranked up you can help out on Criminal Ops. Vega LVI
EPIC! That's the only word that could describe the awesomeness of the last roleplay. I think this Madden Crime Family storyline is going to work out well, especially with Tony's hospitalization, Tommy's incarceration, Tiny's escape and Timmy and Tyler yet to make their appearances. I was thinking of doing a piece of the Madden storyline by doing one or two scenarios, followed by one of the five brothers either being arrested, killed or flee. Maybe we could have a main scenario tree, currently being this Madden squabble, making appearances every week until it finally ends, along with having cameos with returning character such as Orton the Informant, the Maddens, of course and family members of Billy and his father, the ones who drowned out by the tip of Northern Algonquin. These are just ideas that I think would attract more people into joining. Anyway, I love how it can just be two or three people playing and it can be as fun as having ten. I'll be on next Saturday for more crook-bookin' and cop-killin' action, unless something else comes up which I highly doubt. Good to play with you AJ, James and Clefe. See you guys around. theclefe
Roleplay reportEMS Log Mar 24th, 2012 - Broker resident Randall Orton was arrest for attempted burglary in an alley off of Exeter Ave in North Algonquin. Suspect was found claiming he was trying to clean windows with a lock pick. - Police responded to a domestic dispute in an industrial area along Ivy Drive North. Mitchell Sales claimed his girlfriend had scratched his car. The two began arguing and were shouting loudly when police appeared on scene. While discussing the matter, the female suspect managed to remove the vehicle from the area. Sales vocally claimed his girlfriend was a "Witch." The female suspect left the area and is wanted for further questioning. - Sgt. Eric Michaels and Cpl. Alex Petrovic responded to a fight on Ruby St. after a motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle. The ensuing argument led to shots being fired, severely wounding one the combatants. The shooter, Damen Felger, evaded and open fired on police, resulting in a standoff in a storage area on the west side of Algonquin. While attempting to escape, the suspect was fired upon my Sgt. Michaels and brought down. - A prostitution sting operation conducted by Cpl. Alex Petrovic was conducted along Columbus Ave with some success. One "John" was apprehended, but the charges were dismissed by the District Attorney due to lack of sufficient propositioning. - Police responded to a bomb threat in front of the Seagull Theater in Star Junction. A white vehicle was parked in front of the theater and left abandoned. Department officials responded, investigated the situation and apprehended the drive after a short chase. - Officers responded to a pair of men wrestling in the street. At least one man was under the influence of Meth, and was very excited about the upcoming Wrestlemania. After trying to wrestle with police, he engaged another man on Topaz St.. Both were injured and taken to Holland Hospital Center. - Department officials responded to a call that a boy had fallen into the Humboldt River. Sgt. Michaels was hailed by the boy's father, who was frantically calling to his son. After several minutes of searching, Sgt. Michaels was able to find the body of Billy McGrath, but was unable to resuscitate. Despondent and suicidal, father James McGrath had a mental breakdown, stealing Sgt. Michaels' police vehicle and driving it into the river. Despite his best efforts, Michaels was unable to free the man from the vehicle and he drowned. SEVERE INCIDENT REPORT The following incident report resulted in the death of two Department police officers. - at 15:31pm Sgt. Eric Michaels responded to a call of a suspicious person in the courtyard of the Galveston Ave. Projects. When on-scene, Sgt. Michaels identified Tony Madden, a prior offender with whom Michaels detained for loitering weeks prior. Michaels approached and questioned Madden who was standing behind a resident reading on a park bench. Madden claimed he was helping another man read his book. The resident acknowledged that Madden's help was unwelcomed. The courtyard also contained a children's playground. After Madden was fined for loitering outside of an Uranium St. daycare center in their last engagement, Sunny View Kids obtained a restraining order. While Madden's presence in the park did not violate said order, Sgt. Michaels became concerned for the safety of youth in the area. The tense questioning quickly escalated when Madden attempted to pull a gun on Michaels. Reacting quickly, Michaels was able to draw his own weapon and incapacitate Madden. Madden was arrested and taken to the Holland Hospital Center. - at 17:25, Lt. Harold Wright responded to a civil disobedience call on Bismark Ave. Tommy Madden, brother of wounded suspect Tony Madden, was protesting near the North Holland Police station. Madden was disrupting traffic, claiming all his brother was trying to do was read "To Kill a Mockingbird." Wright engaged Madden, convincing him to quietly enter his car. Madden was taken to the station and placed in holding for questioning. No charges were filed and Madden was soon released. - at 17:59, Lt. Harold Wright made contact with a criminal informant regarding an escalation in violence from yet another Madden sibling. Lt. Wright and Rookie James Irwing went to investigate the information, leading them to a construction site on Xenotime St. According to the informant, Tiny Madden was raiding the site, somehow gaining access to gold. Because of the loss of both officers, the full details are unknown. Both Lt. Wright and Rk. Irwing approached the site cautiously, but stepped up their response as Madden opened fired on both them and the civilians in the area. Madden fled up a fire escape adjacent to the site and continued to fire. After his success with brother Tommy Madden, Lt. Wright attempted to negotiate with Madden while Rk. Irwing attempted to access the roof. Madden's consistent firing forced Rk. Irwing to act. He climbed the fire escape and open fired on Madden with his service pistol. Madden returned fire with his shotgun, killing Rk. Irwing. Madden then demanded a helicopter to assist in his escape. With a lack of backup or a certified SWAT squad available, Lt. Wright called on police air support to assist. As negotiations continued, Madden demanded that Lt. Wright, not the LCPD pilot, fly the suspect and the helicopter to an undetermined location in Alderney. Lt. Wright complied, and the two flew over the West River toward the highrises downtown. With a gun to his head, Lt. Wright made a last ditch effort to incapacitate Madden. He guided the aircraft over one of the highrises and attempted to jump from the vehicle, allowing it to crash to the ground with Madden inside. The attempt was unsuccessful. Lt. Wright was killed on impact and Madden was able to survive the resulting wreck. It is believed that Madden stole a vehicle. Alderney police made contact with Madden on the North Side of the island but were unable to intercept. - 19:10, Police raided the homes of all five Madden brothers, finding numerous weapons and firearms. None of the brothers were found and warrants have been issues for Tiny, Tommy, Timmy and Tyler Madden. Tony Madden is still in custody under heavy observation at Holland Hospital Center. He remains unconscious and is unable to be questioned. The scope, focus or goal of this group remains unknown. theclefe
What a wild week. As you can seen from the police report, last night's RP was a good one. The best part was that it was completely unplanned. A series of unrelated incidents escalated into an excellent final scenerio. Not only did it result in the death of two Department personnel, but it also set up a great storyline. As I said, it was completely unplanned, but it shows what can be accomplished once folks become comfortable with the model and the creativity takes over. While it may just look like a wall of indecipherable text to some, it was a lot of fun to experience. It's also an indication of what an RP with multiple people can have. We had four cops tonight, each with their own experiences. Unfortunately for xJAMES_JRx, he came in during the last scenario and walked into a bullet. His character, Rookie James Irwing died. The good news is he can make a new character for the next roleplay so post a new application when you can. My character, a Lieutenant, also died. At least it was heroically. Now I have to make a new character and return as a rookie again. AJ's character got mixed up in some police entrapment and left himself open to shady dealings. Too bad you got disconected right before a shoot out. And Stone's character was, as always, rushing into danger with his gun drawn. As you can see though, the DA was unable to prosecute one of your collars. Don't get a reputation for arresting folks that don't commit crimes. Also, with the death of Lt. Wright, Stonehead's Lt. Michaels now becomes the highest ranking police officer in the department and defacto chief. He should command a great deal of respect during the RPs, and certainly has the opportunity to craft the department as he sees fit. I'll continue to host the RP, but Stonehead is basically in charge of personnel matters. Again, thanks to everyone who came out tonight. I hope we can get even more next week.
