Vega LVI
Welcome aboard Stonehead. I love seeing another cop on the beat. Cops are the primary patrollers, so the more we have out there, the more action there is. Joining the Damned helped get me back into GTA, so hopefully this can get you back! Thanks for the acceptance, Clefe. I have a quick question; when is the next role-play gathering?
theclefe
My PSN ID is Neonic9. I've never seriously roleplayed online before, so do excuse me if I'm not on time or don't have my mic working. I'm not sure what time zone I'm in. I live in Melbourne, Australia so is that EST? Anyway, I would like to fill whatever role you feel is under-populated. Melbourne is EDT, which is about 15 hours opposite of EST. So I think for you our currently scheduled Roleplay will be Friday at Noon. We need more police officers, so I can put you down as one of those. I just need a character name from you. Thanks for the acceptance, Clefe. I have a quick question; when is the next role-play gathering? No problem. Right now our weekly roleplay is scheduled for Thursdays. Specifically, 6 p.m PST, 9 p.m. EST, 2 A.M. GMT (Friday Morning), Noon EDT (Friday, Australia). I can't regularly host on the weekend and I wanted a time and day I could be consistently available to run the scenarios for you guys. We were hoping to partner with one of the Life roleplays to have an event on the weekends, but there hasn't been a consistent, reliable one for PS3 in a little while. As our roster grows and people rank up we may add days to the schedule.

I will try to be there on Thursday, but only for an hour or so. Next Thursday I can probably stay on until dawn if I wish too. Plus, add me when you get the chance; my PSN is vinvega56. theclefe
Hey guys. With K-Willis expected to be out, I've structured the briefing to be more police oriented. I have a few activities in mind in addition. --- North Algonquin Department BriefingGametime - Thursday Feb 16th - 6 p.m PST, 9 p.m. EST, 2 A.M. GMT (Friday Morning) - Tip line calls regarding drug related activities along Frankfort Ave remains constant. Last week's increased patrols have yet to deter dealers. Patrols should focus on disrupting and, when possible, arresting suspects in possession of narcotics. - Last week's shootout between Occupy Liberty City anarchists and police in Middle Park has raised tensions among protesters, citizens and law enforcement. Calls from concerned tourists in the Middle Park area have risen. Protesters are using last week's incident to bait cops into using excessive force. A protester was detained over the weekend when thought to be holding molotov cocktails. Upon investigation, the bottle was only a glass soda bottle containing no explosives. Use caution when responding to such calls and be aware that cameras will always be on you around Middle Park. - Air support will be unavailable today. Fire support may be limited. - A rehabbed mural along Walnut Way has led to an increase in fender benders. Community leaders are concerned. All units should patrol the mural site at least once during their shift. - Pickpockets in the Frankfort Subway station have stepped up their activities. Cell phones and other electronics have been targeted. Personnel Report - None---
Vega LVI
I am 100% certain that I will be able to attend tomorrow's roleplay. Clefe, since it is my first time participating in this event, would you mind showing me the ropes?

theclefe
A.J. I love your backstory. Let's try to develop that storyline. I'll definitely have one scenario in play tonight to get the ball rolling. I'm stoked at the potential turnout tonight. For those playing for the first time, make sure you look over the first topic regarding operating procedure. I can guarantee at least one shootout, so understand the ramifications of getting wounded, killed and injuring civilians. During the roleplay, your job is to patrol as a normal cop would. Respond to minor crimes on your own, break up drug deals, help injured folks. Report any activity to dispatch, call for backup or fire if needed. I go around setting up more complex scenarios and start creating storyline missions for your characters. Right now I have AJ, Stone, and KWillis confirmed. If anyone else wants to play tonight, let me know. You can join right at 9pm, but if you let me know now I can create a scenerio specifically for your character. --- North Algonquin Department BriefingGametime - Thursday Feb 23th - 6 p.m PST, 9 p.m. EST, 2 A.M. One racer sideswiped a department car last weekend and is wanted for questioning in the incident. All officers should be on the lookout for a white Ruiner driven by a black male. Plate number is 244DD211. - After being awarded a medal, Occupy Liberty City has targeted the North Algonquin Fire Station for a reprisal protest. Internet rumor suggest it is scheduled for tonight. - Fire Code certificate renewals are requested by food service operators along Galveston Ave. Personnel Report - None---

Vega LVI
Are each of us assigned to patrol certain locations, or is the choice up to us, meaning do we have the opportunity to claim a neighbourhood or borough and declare, "I am watching over this area"? Our general area of patrol is Northern Algonquin. You don't have specific routes or neighborhoods unless assigned. It's a big enough area, and everyone is pretty much rookies, so we don't have any special tasks going. The briefing gives you areas to target or things to look out for such as the pickpockets or drug dealers. Keep an eye out for the crimes will be conducted by NPC like minor accidents or running red lights. Play around and imagine you're dealing with those as best you can. I might initiate things while you are passing on patrol like fights, speeding ect. The APB on the Ruiner is something along those lines. The dispatch will inform you on other major crimes or calls too. Things will be a little clunky at first, but you'll pick it up.

theclefe
I had a blast tonight. Thanks to everyone who played. With so many players, we had a bit of trouble with the scenerio-based stuff. One reason was because Stonehead followed me around with a gun drawn constantly arresting me the first couple of missions. Plus, every crime the cops swooped in like crazed jackals. The subtlety of a corrupt cop was difficult to pull off. Once I ditched the notion of that and we started setting up firefights, it got crazy fun. Stone and Pitbull had great runs as the crook. Our chases and cop coordination sounded excellent. A perfect example was when Stonehead had a grenade at the gas station and all the cops surrounded him at a safe distance. The police scanner sounded like the real thing. I don't know if the structured approach I had designed will work, but some of the elements did and I hope everyone had a lot of fun. Is Pitball and Kombator (?) GTAF members. K-Wills, if they aren't, get them signed up so we can give them ranks and awards. I'll post the ranks and awards from this session later in the week. Anyway, I had a great time last night. I have never had that kind of fun before on IV:MP. Pitbull, Komat and I were up passed 1.30 in the morning making new scenarios and apprehending criminal NPCs. After a while, we started to run out of ideas for scenes to do, so we decided to do something else. Some scenarios I thought were really interesting, for instance the pickpocketing down in the subway, the hold-up at the gas station with the grenade, the exploding meth lab in the apartment block and a few others. All in all, last night was great and you are a great host, Clefe.

"Freeze motherf*cker!" and Beating down innocent NPC's. So AJ, your character has links to the Russian Mafia? Is that why you pumped Mason's face full of lead and blew me half way to sh*t? A little dark, but still sweet. I like how you added the text with our conversations. Anyway to record the mic chatter too? The Internet Cafe one is the best, as you see Pitbull go up to the door and all three of us storm in. We need to take autoaim off next time. One reason was because Stonehead followed me around with a gun drawn constantly arresting me the first couple of missions. Plus, every crime the cops swooped in like crazed jackals. Sorry about that, Clefe. I got a bit carried away with certain squabbles. I will try to cool down the shotgun drawing for next Thursday. No, It's all good. We figured it out. We just need to give the criminals space to set up. They will call us in when ready, like you were doing later in the RP. You were easily the best Criminal we had. Like when Pitbull confronted you on the street. We were talking about what to do with you and I saw you slowly sneak away. Then you stole a cop car. It was hilarious. Hello Clefe. A J
So AJ, your character has links to the Russian Mafia? Is that why you pumped Mason's face full of lead and blew me half way to sh*t? Lol, the grenade throw was an accident , but yeah basically i wanted to be the dirty cop that helps the criminal, I'm new toRP, so wasn't really sure what to write about my character. Playing the role of a dirty cop was difficult though, so next time I'd prefer to be commiting the crimes. I found it fun and hilarious at the same time. Theclefe talking as a criminal maniac was awesome. I didn't know autoaim was on, I have it set on disallow in my options, so even in an Autoaim game, I have to target myself.
