TheMomento
a female protagonist would make the game SOO boring, why would you want to play a game where you stay in the kitchen?

Civkiller
female , never saw that in my life , what is that ? nah it would be cool for me Well we all know who the virgin is in this thread Don't think they will have a female protag for a while at least cause it is not normally viewed for a woman to be such a violent criminal although some of them are really messed up. Rockstar20124
I believe GTA V will have multiple protagonists and one of them will be a strong tough chick woman It's the short hair brunette staring at the calves, getting a tattoo, doing yoga and waiting on the bike in the trailer. I made a topic about her earlier. Her personality will be a mix of characters portrayed by wonderful actrices like Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez
73duster
If someone were to ask me "what was the moment a video game changed your life?", i would immediately have to say it was the first time i realized i could pick up a prostitute while playing GTAIII. For me, that single moment made me a fan for life. While it is not considered such a big deal today, that moment made me realize that i was playing something truly GROUNDBREAKING. If there was a female protagonist, you could forget about picking up hookers. I know, i know, it's not a big deal, but i've always considered that part of the GTA experience, and with a woman, who know what other things would lose that GTA feel. jlamay
They could leave out the period sh!t! That doesn't need to be in the game anyway. Just let the woman do whatever she wants to do, just because she is sick of life and people! And it only goes for 3-5 days, BTW.

Yes, she will angrily make sandwiches and violently slam pots and pans around in the kitchen. She'll be so bad ass bro

But i agree it is fun to pick whore, use her and then cut her or smash her head to regain your money, but with another female it would feel awkward. I know GTA is'nt known for realism, but women driving around and picking up prostitutes takes it to an unintentionally comical level. It seems like something Saints Row would do. gzam1312
Game publishers are struggling (e.g. THQ), I doubt Take Two are so keen to go bankrupt just to make the feminists happy. Why aim for 1M in sales when they could get 10M+. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/take-two-...opes-2011-10-
Algonquin Assassin
Wow some people are sexist assholes. I mean "kitchen adventures" really? Anyway I think R* would be better off trying it in an EFLC style content pack first instead of making a female protagonist for a core GTA. Honestly I think it would be a new and fresh idea that could potentially be really good and if anyone could make a believable female protagonist it's R*. Nerdman3000
I really wouldn't mind, I guess I'm okay with a female main character, as long as the story is very well done. It would be unusual and fascinating, but I think it can be done. Though, like Miamivicecity, it would be better as a EFLC type, rather than main game. 73duster
I don't really have a problem with a female protagonist, but i believe there might be other unforseen elements that could detract from the GTA experience. I was only using the prostitute angle as an example. Just like it would feel awkward picking up hookers as a woman, which would just not feel right, there might be other things that would lose something. I could be wrong. bobgtafan
If they had the balls to have a Black Protagonist and that turned out to be the best GTA (in my book) it seems about time for a female. It's really not as deep as some of you are making it.
