Khaos_Kiwi Posted January 31, 2012 Share Posted January 31, 2012 So if GTA V was infact to include animals, what does everyone think about having an active race course the protag could visit? As this game will be a pursuit of the almighty dollar I would think it could be appropriate to make use of the great horse animations from Red Dead Redemption and allow the protag to try his luck at the race track. This would also allow for some cool side missions such as: 'intimidating' certain jockeys to ensure they don't win, poisoning or drugging certain horses to decrease/increase their chance of winning etc... You could even buy your own race horse as a potential investment and have to choose from a selection of jockeys to race it. Imagine finding out somone has smashed up your jockey, so you have to go visit them for a little pay back. This could add to the game in a few ways, especially since the theme of the game is about the divisions of the different social classes in which gambling could play a big part in people moving up and down the social ladder. I use to have CJ go in there just to watch the horse race. Sometimes CJ would win, sometimes not. But it was kind of fun watching the horse race. Even snipe a jockey while racing if you feel the need haha. Just imagine walking around in a huge crowd, people cheering and yelling, others crying on a seat saying how the lost everything, even poor people walking around searching for unclamied winning tickets. It would be awesome going out to track, and if your horse don't win, shoot it and it's jockey! A weekly meeting on a Saturday or something. I started to enjoy riding the horse near the end. At first it pissed me off, but then it kind of grew on me. It used to sh*t me but when you're horse would piss off on you when you needed it. If you could ride horses in GTA, it would be the ultimate, combining the best of both worlds. I love to take a horse out in the desert or up the mountains.
