Ludzidocelowych
It's very simple, March-April has a much higher chance than October-November In March or April, Rockstar will have barely any competition, if any at all, October, however, they have to deal with everybody elses big releases. And for the people saying releasing GTAV will hurt MP3 sales or vice versa, Stop being f*cking stupid, it won't, they are two entirely different games, for two entirely different markets. tommzy2
ok boss. so why can't GTA V release in October? You said that releasing GTA V in march-april wont make a difference and that releasing them both close wont hurt sales because they are for two different markets. so why cant gta v release in october, new call of duty comes couple weeks, they would be both 2 different markets according to u, explain that. october has more of a chance for a release than march-april. just saying

Meezarawcks
I don't understand why people are fixated on only 2 months. I realize there is a history of them releasing in October or the many hints to a May release. But there are other months in the year. Why not July, August, or even September? Spaghetti Cat
hmmm...GTA: V or Call of Duty: Quartermaster...choices choices... but for real, we all know that Max Pane is just another codename for GTA: V No Image Available
Gtaghost22
You are new to the GTA series aren't you.. Let me tell you something.. If GTA V and the next call of duty both released on THE SAME DAY!!! , GTA V would still sell more copies than next call of duty.. Believe me! People waited 4 years for GTA V, they will still buy it even if R* released it in 2018.. GTA V will be the BEST SELLING GAME OF 2012.. NUFF SAID!!! Two different games in two different markets? Then explain to me how releasing GTA in October along side with a whole slew of other games won't affect sales? GTA being released sometime between March and May has a very (and I mean very) low chance of happening due to another Rockstar game being released in the Spring season - MP3. We are bound to have information in the Spring season, though. I guarantee that.

Chunkyman
I'm putting my money on October. March-May is waaayyyy too close considering how they haven't even started hyping the game. They need a fairly large time period to get the marketing campaign going, and since they haven't started that yet, we can be confident it won't be released until at least summer or fall. March-April is too near. They need a TIME TO PROMOTE THIS f*ckIN GAME. 2. March-April is too close to Max Payne's release in May and it's TRUE that by releasing GTA V so close to less popular Max Payne 3, it will hurt this game and kill the hype. GTA V win but MP3 lose. We don't want it. 3. October is the most realistic month. First primo, there is no a game that will ruin GTA's success. Even CoDs. Second, it's far away from Max Payne 3. 4. Stremel
What's the problem with the competition? That's what our world is made. GTA will have competition whenever they launch it, but it will win any kind of competition with any game. We know that. GTA V will be the game of the year. Enough. I know plenty of people who are not particular GTA fans that know of V and its existence. Of course they aren't as die hard as most fans here and won't be part of the "community" but they know a new GTA is coming. I think they can easily get the marketing train going over the next few months and release the game sometime in July - September. I walked into Gamestop and I have seen boxes with the following art: I am sure the word is out. Not as heavily as it should be but its out there. They haven't made posters, put up billboards, had any big magazine articles, put up a detailed website, made T-shirts, done interviews, make TV advertisements, release concept art, announce release dates, put the game up for pre-order, and other standard features typical of a marketing campaign. Since all of the above takes months to complete, we can be confident that it will be at an absolute minimum 3-4 months before release, with a fall release being the most likely (because summer releases are avoided). You say that it would be disastrous for Rockstar to release GTA V in October because its sales would be dampened by other games (despite there being no other game coming out next year that sits in GTA's ballpark), but then you say releasing GTA V at the same time as MP3 will have no effect on MP3's sales, because they are "two different games". YOU ARE THE LOGIC KING.
