I know which assault rifle to use and how to fire but there are some people who can kill instantly with just one or two bullets even with full health and full armour? How? Karjerker Posted January 31, 2012 Share Posted January 31, 2012 You must be pretty new to GTA-IV multiplayer to have to ask that question. When playing multiplayer it is more about evading being shot yourself AND hunting down the other members of the team, assuming you have not agreed to work together and kill the cops instead (which is enormous fun!). But if you are looking for tactical advice, here it is. Rocket propelled Grenades make pretty patterns, can be fired at both personnel and vehicles and do a LOT of damage, but they are for the most part UNSPORTING and in my opinion really only ever used by people who cannot shoot or are lousy shots or worse, have no worries about ruining the game for everyone else. Assault rifles are more fun, are kosher and frankly in the right hands (preferably without auto-aiming) can be lethal as they can kill with considerable power over a long distance - even bringing down choppers if you put enough rounds into them or nail the pilot. Ordinary machine-guns are also good for this. Then you have shotguns which are okay for up-close-and-personal combat, but you have to have the element of surprise. The same is true of pistols which do a small amount of damage unless you plug your intended victim in the skull with a round. Shooting a target in the brain often provides an instant kill, and WINNERS never use cheats - especially in multiplayer. A word of advice. It is often an unspoken / unwritten rule to give other players a chance to disperse before attempting to kill them. This gives you all a chance to put some distance between you and everyone else and a chance to find weapons, body armor and if necessary a health pack. Best of luck. bluethirty2uk Posted January 31, 2012 Author Share Posted January 31, 2012 yeah, I'm pretty new but I only really use the M4 I believe as it's the most powerful assault rifle. As I say I'm level 5 but my brother is level 7 and really good but there are some players that we can't touch. I was behind a level ten and put almost a whole magazine into his head and point blank range whilst he was shooting someone else and survived!!, then turned round and killed me with two shots with a pistol. I know that the more you kill the more bullet proof you are which is unfair that's part of the game. I also understand about evading being shot but when you have full heath and full armour but still get killed instantaneously it smacks of unfairness to the extent of borderline cheating...especially when you see that player facing the other direction when you begin shooting (at their head) and they turn around and use just one or two shots which is impossible. There is a degree of skill I appreciate but like I say, I'm pretty good and my bro's better but it's ridiculous sometimes. there ahs to be soemthing that we aren't doing and it's surley not down to just skill and practise. The big advantage with it is the fact that it has longer range in comparison to the AK47 and is superior to it really. Do you play AA or disallow? Do you tap each shot when shooting? Do you stand still when shooting? Crouching is good in AA-matches as it improves accuracy but makes you an easy target in disallow matches or in AA-matches just before auto-aim lock on. It's absolutely possible to turn around and kill with 2 shots (3 shots if target has full health and armor) by doing the very effective 180 turn. Sometimes it could be lag, certain players can almost never be killed because of this. Do you have a really bad connection? If so it's possible that the player that turned around and shot you to death has already seen you and shot at you on his screen BEFORE you shoot at him on your screen. You don't get ANY advantage with killing more. Or with higher rank. Everyone has the same health as everyone else. No idea who told you some have an advantage, but they were wrong.
