Typhus
Wow, a game about the American Revolution? But are we Brits the bad guys in it? Considering Washington and his ilk simply used high taxes to instigate a bloody war, I don't think we can be portrayed as cut-and-paste villains. Creed Bratton
Wow, a game about the American Revolution? But are we Brits the bad guys in it? Considering Washington and his ilk simply used high taxes to instigate a bloody war, I don't think we can be portrayed as cut-and-paste villains. I wouldn't worry about it. It will probably be like Assassin's Creed 1. Assassins against Templars, whoever they might be. And Templars can be both Brits and Americans. Ubisoft said that not all Americans will be good and not all Brits will be bad. But even if you end up being the main villain, I don't see a problem. British empire was pretty much considered the embodiment of evil at that time. Edited March 12, 2012 by GTAvanja

I have a pretty good feeling that the Brits won't be portrayed in the same light as, say, The Patriot. This isn't going to be some form of American propaganda. Remember, even in Assassin's Creed 1, the line was pretty blurred for both forces as well, so I don't doubt that it'll be the same for this installment. Regardless, you guys were the bad guys. tuareg
Hold the phone... If this is the game that wraps up Desmond's story does that mean that Connor will be the protag in this game only? (Given of course that it IS Desmond reliving Connors memories and not someone else). I mean the same happened to Altair in the original AC sure, but i'm hoping we can get closer to Connor's character like we did to Ezio. papanesta
It's a full sequel, so hopefully. There will be all the usual graphic novels and animated films as well though, I bet.

Cosmic Gypsy
i wonder what the british accents will be like... accurate or stereotypically silly? in brotherhood they actually used a real life english actor, i recognized his face and voice. didnt like him though. EDIT : @Brad... Interesting. i think its doubtful this theory will make it to the game though. Edited March 17, 2012 by Cosmic Gypsy

There's actually a theory that the American accent is the closest to the original British accent due to the fact their accent transcended and hasn't necessarily been altered if you live in Massachusetts et al. and that the stereotyped English the British speak today is a bi-product of Victorian England (which is obviously fifty or so years after the American Revolution). Not sure if it's bollocks or not though.

Secura
Anyone got any ideas about what they'd like to see as the ending? I think that they should have the protagonist die, simply because it's something that we've never seen before in an Assassins Creed game.

Firefly8000
well... let's hope this trilogy will not end in the same way like ME3 did Well even if it did end very strangely atleast it would remotely make sense seeing as AC is a strange storyline anyway. I'm expecting some kind of twist to be thrown at us anyway.

Well, this entire storyline is based on 2012 and Mayan calendar, and they are releasing it in october 2012,so it would be probably something lame.Probably we will playing entire game with Connor, and then Desmond get up in last 10 minutes and save the day with pressing few buttons, or fail and entire world is doomed, for a change. I've actually got this strange feeling that Conner will appear very little in AC3, it seems strange I know and I hope it's not going to happen but I just get the feeling that we'll see Conner about as much as we saw Altair in Revelations. I mean think about it, the big battles that Ubisoft have highlighted only took place over a period of eight to nine years; yet the actual game is said to take place over forty years. Blackadder.
If they start with his birth ala Ezio it could easily take place of 40 years. A bit cheap to say the game takes place of 40 years when you experience the first couple of decades briefly, but still 40 years nonetheless. I think I remember reading that it takes place between the 1760s and 1783 when the war ended. So I think Connor wont be that old by the time the game ends. But yeah, the first few scenes of him he'll be a child, judging by the screens and concept...
