If you're excited about this game now, wait until after you see that final cutscene. Trailer was great, but it's in-game footage we need... also, collector's editions details. oh god i forgot about that bullsh*t. why cant they release one version of the game for everyone instead of holding bits back for certain shops :@ Still strugling to get over the sh*tty name. I really need to see some gameplay to get over it. I actually like the snow setting, and the tree-freerunning looks cool - i hope it IS gameplay not a cutscene and you cant tree-freerun haha Also the final cutscene in revelations freaked me out a little. i dont know why.... Also the few leaked scenes i've seen look just like the previous games - assuming they;re real - i kinda expected it to look different :S Narcis: how exactly DO you make gifs? It's been removed now but was it a mistake or simply been removed as it was too early to reveal... I'm liking the sound of some sort of co-op missions, hope it turns out to be true. Brotherhood and Revelations were more like Spin-offs and were developed by other studios from Ubisoft. And don't compare that to COD besides the yearly releases. The quality remains constant (if not even better). And in III there will be a new graphics engine, new animations, animals and much more. You can't say that about Call of Duty, right? Oh and it was planned as a trilogy from the beginning (well Brotherhood and Revelations were, like I said, additional parts to the Ezio-Story and not for Desmond). III will be the last game (hopefully) in the Desmond-Story. And after that.. yeah, there will be a new storyline with many new sequels. For next generation probably. I've been a diehard fan since playing the First game on a whim. ACII probably had the best story ever (imo) and Brotherhood was a pretty decent game. I didn't have any complaints. But then Revelations was released... I had to force myself to complete it, it felt more like a grind than a game. It felt like there was something missing, and the hook-blade was just stupid and annoying (why did it make that f***ing 'clank-clink' noise everytime you used it, even if you were climbing a wooden structure.) I'm excited as hell for ACIII. They've been working on it since II (unless I'm mistaken). And setting it in the 'Revolutionary' times of early america? Genius. Because it was "another AC game". Exploring big urban Constantinople was much more fun than that half-empty Roma. + game has some vibe from 1st game + Revelations has everything Brotherhood had and even more. + Free running speed was increased thanks to hook. tuareg Posted March 7, 2012 Share Posted March 7, 2012 Brotherhood felt dragged on and it was only a shadow of what ACII felt like when it came out. Rome has too big and more often than not you'd find yourself running along countrysides or travelling by horse whereas in ACII you could run and swing around rooftops to get to practically anywhere. Fighting was waaaaaay too easy and the story was a bit lacking in comparison to it's predecessor. Not to mention the constant frame rate issues. I still played it a lot, but i'd ratther look at it as a direct dlc to ACII than a whole new stand-alone game of the series. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I wish they could have combined the two games into one. But I'm fine with both of them. I like them both. I hope with Connor they are able to have a good story, and the maps sound pretty big, and missions spread out. So I'm optimistic we'll be getting a balanced game. Brotherhood managed to tie back into AC II's story and tie up loose ends and let us revisit the characters we had known and loved. Revelations just threw Ezio in a completely different place and bored the hell out of me with a story that really didn't need to be told (the same could be said for Brotherhood but Revelations felt more so). The Altair sections were great but I had to put up with so much boring stuff with Ezio to get to them that it was a shame. /rant Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Couldn't ask for a better setting and era for AC 3, plus the new protaganist looks really interesting.
